Righteous Vendetta Releases “Weight Of The World” Music Video

Wyoming-based metalcore outfit Righteous Vendetta just unveiled a new music video for “Weight Of The World.” The video is for the current single off the band’s new album, “Cursed,” which dropped back in March via Century Media.

Speaking about the concept behind both the song and the video, the members of RV comment: “‘Weight Of The World’ is an anthem that we feel a lot of people can relate to. No matter what your situation is, everyone has times where they do their best to keep it all together, but everything seems like it’s crashing around them.

“We wanted to portray that tension visually, and Orie and the Enlighten Creative team really helped us achieve that. We all meshed and had the same goal to create the vibe that would allow the listener to feel that much more connected with the song.”

Fans can also see Righteous Vendetta performing at Riff Fest in Clarkston, Michigan on September 29th alongside Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, Pop Evil, Fozzy and many others.

Tombs, Goatwhore, Oni to appear at “Ozzfest Meets Knotfest” in November

– July 10th, 2017 –

On November 4th and 5th, Tombs, Goatwhore, and Oni will appear at “Ozzfest Meets Knotfest” at the Glen Helen Amphitheater & Festival Grounds. Joining them on the bill is Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, among many others. For more information, please visit: ozzfest.com or knotfest.com. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, July 14th @ 10AM Pacific Time.

Tombs recently released their fourth full-length, The Grand Annihilation – the group’s most experimental record to-date. The blasting, scathing yet melodic black metal savagery of opener “Black Sun Horizon” and “Way Of The Storm” are very much built to destroy, while wielding a poignancy that is undeniable – both of which stand in strong contrast to the uncomfortable post-punk squall of “Underneath” that showcases front-man Mike Hill’s Nick Cave/Ian Curtis-esque singing voice, while the likes of the throbbing “Saturnalian” and unnerving tribal thunder of “Walk With Me In Nightmares” stand in categories all of their own. While every track on The Grand Annihilation stands separate from those around it, it is still a cohesive collection, and at no point do the stylistic twists and turns undermine its coherence. For more information, please visit: metalblade.com/tombs

Goatwhore‘s new, seventh full-length offering (and second recorded reel-to-reel!), Vengeful Ascension was captured at Earth Analog in Tolono, Illinois with longtime soundman and comrade Jarrett Pritchard (1349, Gruesome). A sonic manifestation of war, chaos, desolation, and emotional conflict, seamlessly bridging twenty years of the band’s signature brand of audio venom, Vengeful Ascension finds its members at their most accomplished both individually and as a cohesive unit. Guitarist Sammy Duet’s dense, sub nuclear riff work and possessed solo blitzes are at their most devastating, spiraling flawlessly and instinctually around drummer Zack Simmons’ and bassist James Harvey’s hammering rhythms, with front-man Ben Falgoust’s distinctly commanding roar, his acidic prose more enunciated than ever before, complimenting the apocalyptic proceedings. For more information, please visit: metalblade.com/goatwhore

With their influences rooted in progressive metal, Oni‘s sound can be compared to the genre’s heavy hitters – The Human Abstract, Protest The Hero and Between The Buried And Me – yet they remain truly unique. With Jake Oni handling vocal duties, Martin Andres and Brandon White on guitar, Chase Bryant on bass and Joe Greulich on drums, they are also perhaps the first metal band to feature a xylosynth player, Johnny D, which adds an intriguing dynamic to the nine songs found on their latest full-length, Ironshore. On the album track “The Only Cure”, Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe also contributes his inimitable style – resulting in one of the record’s heaviest moments. New Album “Seasons Of The Black” Announced By Rage

The creativity and productivity of the German heavy metal trio Rage seems to have no limits. Only 14 months after the successful “The Devil Strikes Again” neckbreaker, Rage delivers the new, 23rd studio album called “Seasons Of The Black,” which will be released on July 28th!

“Our fans are getting Rage metal of the very first grade. We’ve been able to bring the band’s typical trademarks into eleven new songs, and we’re sticking to the course that we forged on the last album! This means hard and very catchy compositions that also sound thrash, aggressive and epic,” tells band leader Peavy.

Since the reorientation of 2015, the three band members have now fully adapted to each other and the lost harmony has been fully restored. “We are even better matched with each other,” says Peavy happy. “We offer new ideas to each other like we’ve never done something else before! It also happened that we created a whole new song within just two hours from start to finish, from scratch! Regarding the production we were also able to prevent some complications, which had been an element of the last album due to a lack of experience. This time, everything worked perfectly.”

Guitarist Marcos Rodriguez and drummer Vassilios “Lucky” Maniatopoulos have been long-time Rage fans from the very beginning. Their input also leaves its mark on their second album. “Marcos and Lucky well know the “classic” style-creating spirit of Rage so to speak, and on a personal level we all really like each other as well. This contributed to the possibility of continuing to develop and expanding the band’s spirit,” the vocalist adds.

The stylistic connection between “The Devil Strikes Again” and “Seasons Of The Black” is also visually reflected in the artwork, once again created by graphic artist Karim König (see cover below). “We developed the idea together,” says Peavy. “In this way we want to show that both albums belong together in their own way. I modelled the sonically inspired sculpture that dominates the cover on my own. As a basis, I used a very rare skull from my collection, which I poured myself and then re-modeled. Karim created the gloomy landscape with the Golgotha Hill.”

The title song “Seasons Of The Black” will be the opener of the 11 track-album. “The song is very personal, it is about a failed life-long dream. Imagine being stamped to the ground and looking at the broken pieces of your existence. This sadly is a destiny that many people have to share. Most of the songs on the album include a very gloomy view of the world, so we thought ‘Seasons Of The Black’ would be suitable for the entire album,” the vocalist, who founded Rage over three decades ago, sums up.

“Seasons Of The Black” was recorded in February/March 2017 at Megafon Studios (Burscheid, Germany) and at Soundchaser Studios (Zandhoven, Belgium). Its production was handled by Rage, whilst the renowned Dan Swanö (MARDUK, OPETH, KATATONIA) took care of the mix and mastering at Unisound Studios (Grefrath, Germany).
