Rammstein Finishing Up The Mix For New Album

German industrial metal/Neue Deutsche Härte veterans Rammstein has announced that they are edging closer to completing their as yet untitled new album. A post on social media outlets simply reads: “Getting closer! Finalizing the mix for the new album in Santa Monica, CA.”

The album is expected to be released later this year and will be their first album since 2009’s, “Liebe ist für alle da,” which peaked at number 13 on the Billboard album charts and topped the charts in Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Netherlands, Denmark, Czech Republic, Finland and Switzerland.

Soilwork Completes Work On New Album, Posts Trailer Online

Swedish visionary metallers Soilwork have finished the recordings for their long awaited upcoming 11th studio album. The as of yet untitled album is the band’s first in more than three years and also marks the first to feature Bastian Thusgaard on drums, who replaced Dirk Verbeuren in 2016.

Today the band released the first studio webisode in which they talk about the recording and production process of the album. You can check it out below.

The record is scheduled for a tentative early 2019 release.

Dream Theater Posts New Studio Video Online Showing New Album Guitar Tracking

American progressive metal legends Dream Theater has posted a new video online, the latest in their series chronicling the recording of their as yet untitled fourteenth studio album. This time, John Petrucci gives fans a behind the scenes look at the guitar tracking. You can check it out below. This will be the band’s first album for Sony Music’s progressive imprint InsideOutMusic, with whom they signed with last year.

Dream Theater Posts Studio Video Update

American progressive metal stars Dream Theater has posted a new video online, showing drummer Mike Mangini working on the band’s as yet untitled new album. You can check it out below. This is the second video update the group has posted since entering the studio, with the previous installment (based on drum tracking) also available to be seen below.

A message from the band said: “Here’s Mike in the studio recording a short proggy bit from the new album. Yes, that will be the album take and his reward will be some delicious BBQ chicken courtesy of chef JP! It’s the first day of drum tracking for the new Dream Theater album here at our remote recording studio hideaway!”

Video Clip For New Single “Got To Know” Issued By Damn Dice

London based, five-piece hard rock act Damn Dice has released a new single and video for the song “Got To Know.” Check it out in the player below. The song will appear on the as of yet untitled sophomore long player, expected for 2018.

The band commented: “Hey guys, here is the brand new video for our Single “Got To Know”!!! It is off of our upcoming album set to be released in early 2018. Our first effort was described by Classic Rock Magazine as ‘like a punch in the balls from a spiked glove,’ so we’ll let you imagine the dynamite stick that this one will be!”

Second Album 6 Studio Report Issued By Mors Principium Est

Finnish based melodic death metal act Mors Principium Est released the second part in a studio diary series for the recordings of the upcoming, yet untitled, six full length studio release. The album is expected to drop sometime in 2017 via AFM Records.

Video Studio Report For New Album Issued By ShadowQuest

Swedish power metal act ShadowQuest, featuring MasterPlan bassist Jari Kainulainen, Bloodbound vocalist Patrik Johansson, Witherscape guitarist Ragnar Widerberg and ex-Dionysus drummer Ronny Milianowicz, issued a new video studio report on the upcoming, but as of yet untitled, sophomore album.

The band is currently in Studio Seven in Örebro, Sweden recording the follow up to the 2015 debut “Armoured IV Pain” (see review here).

The video features the guitar recordings with Peter Huss and Ragnar Widerberg. Check out the clip here:
