Exciter Reveals New Guitarist Daniel Dekay

With the departure of founding guitarist John Ricci, Canadian speed legends Exciter are hyped to reveal that Daniel Dekay (Diemonds, BangerTV) will be taking the position as the new guitarist for the band. A longtime friend of the Exciter family, Dekay was a natural choice and a perfect fit to keep this thrash machine pounding. Dekay joins forces with original members Dan Beehler & Allan Johnson to round out this lineup of the band which is already working on new tunes with plans for a full length studio record.

The original lineup of Exciter reunited in 2015 but last month guitarist John Ricci decided to leave the group, finishing a second stint in the band which began in 1992.

German speed metallers Vulture sign to Metal Blade Records!

– February 7th, 2018 –

Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the sealing of a pact with German speed metallers Vulture. The full metal quintet has signed a multiple album deal with the Blade and is right now in the songwriting process for their tentative new album to be released by the end of 2018.

Vulture comments: “We feel proud and honored to officially announce our contract conclusion with METAL BLADE RECORDS! Signing up with the legendary label that released many of those albums that sparked our passion for extreme metal in our youths feels like completing the circle. Now, more motivated and bloodthirsty than ever, we are already eagerly working on new tracks for our second full-length. Attention posers! Prepare to die!”

The high speed metal militia that is Vulture was formed in late summer 2015. It was only half a year later when their first demo entitled Victim To The Blade saw the light of the day.

Their first output contains four fast, eerie and face melting tracks that created a huge furor around the scene. The feedback was so tremendous that it not only resulted in multiple re-releases as an EP on vinyl and CD, but also for participations in renowned concerts and festivals around Europe such as Metal Assault, Hell Over Hammaburg or the infamous Live Evil festival in London.

Vulture released their debut LP The Guillotine in the summer of 2017 and straight on the boys continued their killing streak with eight massive songs that contained even more aggression and fury than their predecessors. Having added more melody and variation to their songwriting, Vulture clearly emphasizes that they are not in line for being yet another homage to the 80s metal scene.

Being joined by a fifth member and now permanent drummer just a few months ago, Vulture has lifted off higher than ever in order to deliver another full-length album soon. The studio has already been booked for this summer and we can definitely assure you: Vulture kills!

Vulture line-up:
L. Steeler – vocals
S. Genozider – guitar
M. Outlaw – guitar
A. Axetinctor – bass
G. Deceiver – drums

Seregon Announces Comeback, Original Bassist Ben Allen Returns

After years of inactivity, British thrash metal band Seregon, widely regarded in their time as the best British band not to be signed, has announced their return. The band has departed with bass player Lee Rugman and brought back original bassist Ben Allen and will be working on new material for release next year. A statement on their official website reads as follows:

“Firstly, with a heavy heart we bring you the news that bassist Lee Rugman has left the Seregon fold; he hasn’t gone far and can be found kicking ass and taking names weekly as part of the AC/DC Tribute Juggernaut that is HELLS BELLS! Lee and Seregon find themselves with 15+ shows in the bank that took them around the UK and into mainland Europe for Festival Appearances also. We would like to take a moment to thank Lee for all he has contributed to the Seregon family on and off the stage, and consider him a friend and all round cool guy.

“So, where do we go now I hear you say? Well, best watch the video below!

“And to celebrate the above news, we have something to give you all. If you go to http://seregonuk.bandcamp.com you can download our ENTIRE back catalogue as well as a brand new, never before released Live EP from our ‘A Future Expired’ release show back in April 2008! Tim Lambesis Reportedly Working On New As I Lay Dying Album With New Band Members

Two months ago As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis shared some vague posts via his and As I Lay Dying’s social media accounts, simply stating the word “activity”. Now Rock Feed, citing a source they say is familiar with the situation, reports that a source with knowledge on the matter has revealed that Lambesis is indeed working on new music and planning to release it under the As I Lay Dying moniker.

Tim Lambesis served only two and a half years on a six-year sentence after he was arrested and convicted of solicitation of murder for attempting to hire an undercover cop posing as a hitman to murder his then wife, Meggan Lambesis.

It’s worth noting that Lambesis has previously stated that As I Lay Dying is “sleeping rather than dead” in a blog entry posted back in 2014. Blabbermouth also noted in a recent report that rumors suggested the band was “working on new material”. Representatives for the band did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Various now former members of the band spoke out against Lambesis after his actions, with those ex-members having since largely gone on to now perform as Wovenwar.
