Behemoth launches video for new single, “Wolves ov Siberia”

– September 5th, 2018 –

“It doesn’t get more blasphemous than this,” declares Behemoth mastermind Nergal, about the band’s upcoming album, I Loved You At Your Darkest – due out October 5th via Metal Blade Records (North America) / Nuclear Blast (Europe). While it certainly seems an unlikely title for a black metal band, its origin might surprise fans even more than the words themselves. “It’s a verse from the Bible,” Nergal reveals. “It’s actually a quote from Jesus Christ himself. For Behemoth to use it as the basis of our record, it’s sacrilege to the extreme.”

A crushing salvo of black metal majesty replete with hellish riffs, thundering drum cannonades and soaring liturgical choirs reminiscent of classic horror cinema, I Loved You At Your Darkest is the group’s most dynamic record yet: extreme and radical on one hand, but also more rock-oriented than any other Behemoth release. Produced by the band themselves, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames), mixing by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom) mastering by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), and a 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa, I Loved You At Your Darkest can be pre-ordered now at: metalblade.com/behemoth – where the video for the new single, “Wolves Ov Siberia” (directed by Kyle Kadow and Steven Cleavland), can also be viewed. The following formats are available in the USA, along with an exclusive t-shirt:

–jewelcase CD
–digibook CD (hardcover digibook, 40 page booklet)
–baltic amber vinyl (limited to 600 copies)
–opaque white w/ gold splatter vinyl (Metal Blade Records exclusive – limited to 300 copies)
–black / gold split vinyl (Metal Blade Records exclusive – limited to 300 copies)
–clear w/ smoky black swirl (Nuclear Blast US exclusive – limited to 300 copies)
–clear w/ grey inside (Kings Road exclusive – limited to 500 copies)
–”God = Dog” 7″ picture disc (Metal Blade Records exclusive – limited to 666 copies)

Nergal comments: “‘Wolves Ov Siberia’ was the first song unveiled from ILYAYD, we began playing it on tour in May of this year – the raw energy and dynamism of the song lent itself perfectly to a live context! The studio version doesn’t lose those fundamentals and now with our added intricacies, you will be able to hear the call to Ancient times…the devil is in the detail, after all.
The video was purposefully very different from the well-recognised, Behemoth aesthetic – I wanted it to be chaotic, frenzied yet beautiful…I think this is mission accomplished and we’re really happy with the final product from Kyle Kadow and Steven Cleavland! Enjoy it!”

Master Reveals New Album, “Vindictive Miscreant” Details

American death metal legends Master has announced that they will be releasing a new studio album, entitled, “Vindictive Miscreant” after signing with Transcending Obscurity Records.

Master’s founder Paul Speckmann comments, “Of course it’s an honour and a privilege in these days to sign to a reputable label which comes highly recommended by many excellent musicians! The future of Master carries on and we will fight until the end!”

Transcending Obscurity owner, Kunal Choksi states, “It’s truly a dream come true to work with a legendary band in Master. Paul Speckmann proved to be a man of rare integrity and signed the contract within two hours of bringing up the topic. Needless to say, I will be doing my utmost best not to let him down and do greater things for his band, now and in the future. This is a very fortuitous signing for the label and I couldn’t be happier. Hard work does pay off, it seems, when there was little respite. Thanks to Rogga Johansson of Paganizer for highly recommending my label to the band. Here’s hoping for a strong partnership with the legends Master.”

While no release date has been confirmed as of yet, the album art can be seen below and the tracklisting for the record has been revealed as follows:

1. Vindictive Miscreant
2. Actions Speak Louder Than Words
3. Replaced
4. The Inner Strength Of The Demon

Kobra And The Lotus Release First Lyric Video For “Losing My Humanity”

The first single ‘Losing My Humanity’ from KOBRA AND THE LOTUS’ upcoming album “Prevail II” is celebrating its track premiere with a lyric video streaming below. The album will follow on April 27th 2018 via Napalm Records.

KOBRA about the new song and story behind:

“Ignorance is bliss. This song is the cynical point of view regarding the ways of human nature. We pretend we’ve been different but throughout history we have always been a barbaric and brash species. The silence kept during times of pain or unjust suffering is profoundly loud. Does it make us better when we stand by and say or do nothing when we know something is wrong? I would argue it makes us almost the same. Take the words figuratively or literally, I’m just calling it as I see it, even if it’s me taking a clear look at myself in the mirror.”

False Flag Premiere Full-Album Stream Of Brand New Self-Titled Debut EP

False Flag’s unique blend of d-beat, neo-crust, black metal, screamo, and hardcore, complete with philosophical nature of the lyrics, make them one of the most fiery and intelligent bands in recent years. Premiered below, the three track self-titled debut EP is currently available on Bandcamp.

Says guitarist Shaunak:

“The songs on this EP are reflections on alienation- ideological, societal and existential. The words here are informed by the experiences I’ve had during what proved to be the most difficult and crucial years of my intellectual, ideological and personal growth. It’s not difficult to see that they are also informed by ideas of albert camus and the Frankfurt school. While, Unbroken was composed around the words written by a very dear friend of mine”.
