Deicide Posts New Video, “Defying The Sacred” Online

Death metal icons Deicide have returned with “Overtures Of Blasphemy,” which sees the band return to their roots to create a stellar and uncompromising extreme metal masterpiece. The effort was produced by the world-renowned Jason Suecof (The Black Dahlia Murder, Trivium) at Audio Hammer Studios.

“Overtures Of Blasphemy” was released today via Century Media Records at digital retailers and streaming sites. Due to a manufacturing delay, all US physical purchase copies will be available next week, on September 21st.

A new music video for “Defying The Sacred” can be viewed below. The clip was directed by the renowned Scott Hansen (Animals As Leaders, Whitechapel).

Cover art was created by Zbigniew M. Bielak (Ghost, Paradise Lost, Mayhem).

Whitechapel announces “Ten Years of Exile” USA tour with Chelsea Grin, Oceano, Slaughter To Prevail

– August 14th, 2018 –

After recently completing their massive summer co-headliner with The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel will head out on the road again this November/December, to embark on their “Ten Years of Exile” USA tour, commemorating the 10th anniversary of This Is Exile. Featuring Chelsea Grin, Oceano, and Slaughter To Prevail as support, this trek will also see Whitechapel perform This Is Exile in its entirety, plus a selection of other songs – and will be the last run of shows before the band returns to the studio to finish recording their upcoming album, due out spring 2019 via Metal Blade Records. Obliterate Announce US Tour Dates w/ Poolside at the Flamingo

Victoriaville, QC based deathcore act OBLITERATE have announced a new round of US tour dates supporting their new album Impending Death this August. The tour, which includes a performance at Michigan Metal Fest alongside Whitechapel and Lorna Shore, will see the band performing throughout much of the Midwest and Texas with support coming from Poolside at the Flamingo.

Threat Signal Posts “Exit The Matrix” Playthrough Video

Canadian melodic thrash / technical metalcore act Threat Signal today issues a playthrough video for recently released single, “Exit The Matrix.” The song appears on the band’s upcoming album “Disconnect,” which is set to be released on November 10th via Agonia Records.

New album “Disconnect” was recorded and produced by vocalist Jon Howard and lead guitarist Travis Montgomery. Mixing and mastering were done by Mark Lewis (DevilDriver, Whitechapel, Battlecross, Coal Chamber). Artwork for the album was created by Ludovic Cordelieres of Rusalkadesign (Kamelot).

Whitechapel Announces Tour With Carnifex, Rings Of Saturn

This fall, Whitechapel will embark on a North American tour to commemorate the 10th anniversary of “The Somatic Defilement.”

The “A Decade Of Defilement” tour will see Whitechapel’s set list feature select tracks from that album that have not been played since the disc’s original release. Support will be provided by Carnifex, Rings of Saturn, Entheos, and So This Is Suffering. See below for all confirmed dates.

Hatebreed, Crowbar, And More Added To Metal Maya 2017

Hatebreed, Crowbar, Whitechapel, Prong, Kyng and Oni have today been added to the music lineup for the first annual Metal Maya, a 4-day all-inclusive heavy metal destination festival vacation. Packages start at $1399 per person and are on sale now at this location.

Metal Maya takes place from October 29th – November 2nd at the luxurious Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun, just south of Cancun in the paradise of Puerto Morelos on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. In addition, Lamb of God’s Chris Adler joins Metal Maya as an event host.

The overall Metal Maya music lineup is as follows: Anthrax, Hatebreed, Overkill, Superjoint (with Philip Anselmo), heavy metal all-star band Metal Allegiance, Death Angel, Whitechapel, Crowbar, Prong, KYNG, Otep, Tim “Ripper” Owens, and ONI.

Alex Skolnick (Testament) and Kyle Sanders (Hellyeah) have been added to the Metal Allegiance band lineup, which already includes Phil Demmel (Machine Head), David Ellefson (Megadeth), Gary Holt (Slayer/Exodus), Mark Menghi, Mark Osegueda (Death Angel), Mike Portnoy (The Winery Dogs, Transatlantic, Flying Colors, The Neal Morse Band), Steve “Zetro” Souza (Exodus), Ryan Waste (Municipal Waste), and more special guests.

Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta says, “We’re honored to have been invited to play at the inaugural Metal Maya in Cancun this October. We plan on losing our minds for a few days in Mexico, and we’d love for you to join us…and to top it all off…free booze!”

“Kyng is honored to be a part of this festival, and share the stage with all of the gut-wrenching bands that have inspired us to play heavy music,” says Kyng singer/guitarist Eddie Veliz. “To top it off, this will happen in our motherland! Can’t wait for Metal Maya!”
