Northlane Premieres New Song & Music Video “Citizen” From Upcoming New Album

Northlane premieres a new song and music video entitled “Citizen”. A new album from the band is tentatively scheduled for a May/June release date with more details to come.

Check out now “Citizen” below.

Says guitarist Josh Smith of the song:

“‘Citizen’ is a song that was written about the First World police state and our willingness to live under the watch of those in power, for their means, while those who blow the lid on it suffer. Writing this one was quite a mission, we went through five completely different sets of lyrics and the final incarnation of the song was the eighth revision. It took a lot of work but we are proud of it and beyond excited to share it with you all.”

Vocalist Joseph Smith commented on the new single: “In my eyes, I see the path that’s laid before in my heart and I know what is wrong and right. High Horse. This quote means something personal that I went through and questioning my own decisions through how other people felt. This whole song basically is about being the person that God wants you to be and not what man wants you to be.”
