Bearers of the NWOBHM movement and responsible for ’83′s seminal Court In the Act and ’87′s Suspended Sentence, Satan make it abundantly clear with their upcoming new album that in 2018, they are not interested in simply capitalizing on past glories. Comprised of 10 tracks of searing metal, it is blatantly and profoundly the work of the Newcastle upon Tyne natives at their very best, infusing their signature sound with a more raw, wild and spontaneous vibe than they showcased on 2015′s mighty Atom By Atom – and in the process, displaying more passion and energy than slews of bands half their age.

Having reunited in 2012 and returned to touring duty, Satan – comprised of six-stringers Russ Tippins and Steve Ramsey, bassist Graeme English, drummer Sean Taylor and vocalist Brian Ross – once more proved their collective mettle with 2013′s Life Sentence and follow-up Atom By Atom, both records critically acclaimed and maintaining the high standards of their earlier releases. With such a powerful collection in their hands, the band was unsurprisingly eager to take it on the road, and they once again had successful tours and festival runs in Europe, North America and South America, culminating with a slot opening for Pentagram in Helsinki, which Tippins counts as a true honor.

Satan will unleash their latest batch of classic heavy metal songs in the second half of 2018. Be prepared for one of the best metal albums of the year and stay tuned for more information about it!

Satan line-up:

Russ Tippins – Guitars

Witherfall Inks Deal With Century Media

U.S. epic progressive metal rising force Witherfall just signed a worldwide deal with Century Media. The label comments:

“Witherfall, who seem to have come out of nowhere in late 2016, stirred up the international scene with a unique approach of combining epic metal with dark heavy metal and complex yet catchy progressive metal to style that reminds of early Crimson Glory, the Conspiracy/The Eye era of King Diamond and the great achievements of bands like Nevermore, Fates Warning and Queensr?che.”

The band had this to say about inking the new record deal: “We are very honored to be a part of the Century Media legacy. The roster of acts they have worked with speaks volumes about the pride they take in bringing original and engaging music to Metal fans around the globe. Witherfall promises to deliver on the Century Media slogan of ‘Quality in Metal.'”

Witherfall’s debut album “Nocturnes And Requiems” was self-released by the band in the USA and will now see its European release on October 6th, 2017 as a limited CD digipak version with three stickers, a noble LP version with gatefold sleeve, inlay, poster and CD, as well as digital download/stream.

Death SS Re-Issuing Three Albums Via Shadow Kingdom Records

Shadow Kingdom Records just announced the signing of Italian group Death SS for the reissue of the band’s first three albums: 1988’s “…in Death of Steve Sylvester,” 1989’s “Black Mass,” and 1991’s “Heavy Demons.”

Each album will be released on CD, vinyl, and cassette formats, (as well as digital) with a T-shirt design produced for each album cover. Shadow Kingdom comments:

“Long a cult name in the international heavy metal scene, Death SS have influenced thousands over the past three decades in their long, twisted history, equally influencing the nascent speed metal and black metal scenes with their trademark ghoulish and theatrical presentation. Shadow Kingdom couldn’t be prouder and more honored to have Death SS amongst its roster, most of which have been shaped by the band in one way or another.”

– September 9th, 2015 –

Swedish heavy metal stalwarts, RAM, are ready to unleash their latest batch of Heavy Metal anthems to the masses! “Svbversvm” is the fourth studio LP and will be released the 30th of October via Metal Blade Records worldwide. Comments RAM on ‘Svbversvm‘: “This album is the rebirth of RAM, a natural step to take after ‘Death’. For this album we went back and rediscovered the mass of notes, lyrical ideas and sketches that were created at the very birth of RAM, from around 99-01. We saw that these ideas were more valid than ever and still very inspiring. We are very pleased with the album that is the product of 4 months of being locked up in the studio and offering our very last drop of sweat and blood for it to become the most massive RAM production ever. This is our latest assault upon the rotting world, may it be a dagger in the heart of the powers that may be! SVBVERSVM is at hand!
