The Walking Dead Orchestra Releasing New Album “Resurrect”

French death metal legion The Walking Dead Orchestra will release second full-length album, “Resurrect,” on October 13th via Unique Leader Records. Issues the band of the self-produced offering:

“We conditioned ourselves to unleash our primal influences, it’s a back-to-the-roots process with old-school riffs tuned to the more modern sound. We are proud of this combination. Each song has its own identity. We recorded, mixed, and mastered the entire album by ourselves at our own studio, Spike Recording Studio, which allowed us to keep every step of the production process under control. This gave us the time and freedom to really develop our sound.

“This album imposes an ambiance with many twists and surprises and the songs structures are more mature. This is a new chapter for the band but also for the Architect, the main character of The Walking Dead Orchestra’s concept which takes place through a post-apocalyptic world. The artwork reflects The Walking Dead Orchestra’s universe and illustrates each situation our main character goes through.”

Pre-orders for “Resurrect” will be available in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out “Dogmes Anxiogenes” below.

The Walking Dead Orchestra Signs With Unique Leader

French death metal legion The Walking Dead Orchestra is the latest addition to Unique Leader Records’ expanding roster of brutality. The group will release a self-produced, as-yet-untitled second full-length album later this year.

Issues the band, “Two years of hard work were necessary for the writing and production process of this record. We decided to propose a more mature, personal, and of course, wilder record than our first album. We went back to our roots with straight, old-school death metal riffs.

“Our choice to develop our own identity pushed us to record, mix, and master the album ourselves. This is a new chapter in the band’s story. We promise many surprises. We are proud to join the Unique Leader family for the release of this record. Run! Epidemic is coming.”

I, Apollo Posts “Surface” Lyric Video

I, Apollo just released the lyric video for the track “Surface,” taken off of the “Stranded” EP. “Surface” was inspired by The Governor, a character from “The Walking Dead.”

Featuring the album artwork by Dan Mumford (A Day to Remember, Miss May I), Corbin Thomas of wellcan media brings this lyric video to life. I, Apollo comments:

“The sense of hopelessness, helplessness, loneliness and pain created by The Governor’s evil deeds are illustrated through the song’s deep, dark lyrics. Intense flashing lyrics harken to lightening on a dark, stormy night as a girl stands alone atop a cliff looking over a city off in the distance, out of reach. Tentacles, a metaphor for The Governor’s evil, reach from the depths of hell to claim one more victim. Facing the choice between evil and an unknown fate, our heroine leaps from the cliff into a deep pit of uncertainty. The video ends with the girl once again standing atop a cliff, facing the future with hope.”
