At its purest, there is little that can match the visceral thrill and empowering spirit of hardcore. As front-man of New York City hardcore kings Cro-Mags, this is something John Joseph knows very well, and with Up In Arms, he and his Bloodclot compatriots deliver a furious collection that hits hard on every level. From the moment the opening title track explodes to life, it’s clear that everyone involved is having a blast and playing from the heart, and that this is no frills / no bullshit music at its most passionate. “In this band we’re doing what each of us have always done: give it our all,” John Joseph states plainly. “We work hard, and we have a lot to say. Look around the planet – people are fed up with the corrupt ruling class. They destroy the planet and kill millions for profit, and the formula for our response is simple: Anger + applied knowledge = results. Don’t just bitch. Change it.”

One Day Waiting Posts “Dying For The Truth” Video

Alt-metal quartet One Day Waiting has released the first single/music video, “Dying for the Truth,” taken off of sophomore EP, “Mouthbreather.” One Day Waiting’s Tyler Kray comments:

“‘Dying for the Truth’ is about people who blindly follow other people, trends and whats currently popular in society. These kinds of people base their lives off the opinion of others, but can’t form an opinion of their own.

“They often contradict what they do and what they say, like a man who bosses his workers around for slacking off, yet the boss is doing exactly that. I believe the music video delivers that message in both a serious and comedic way.”

Earth Ship Posts “Red Leaves” Music Video

Berlin-based Earth Ship is set to release upcoming album “Hollowed” on June 24th via Napalm Records. To shorten the waiting time, the band has now premiered a brand new music video for “Red Leaves.” The crew at Frameshock Production commented on the brand new video:

“When the band approached us to collaborate on this video we instantly thought that the dark, mysterious vibe of their music and the song ‘Red Leaves’ in particular deserves a moody, gritty video. Hats off to the guys (and girl) for giving us a lot of creative control and being open to trying something different. We think the result speaks for itself and hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making our vision come to life.”

Earth Ship states: “‘Red Leaves’ is audio and visually a dark and melancholic homage to life journey and death that will sink deep within you if you let it. Certainly one of our most catchy songs to date but also heavier than a sack of doorknobs and more monolithic than a mountain.”
