Body Harvest Reveals New Album “Parasitic Slavery” Details; Posts New Music Video “Consumed By Tyrants” Online

The new album from violent death metal machine Body Harvest is ready to be unleashed. Hellish visions of alternate realities, where humanity is enslaved and slaughtered, consumed by ravenous beasts, the endless screams echoing through the dark tunnels of the harvesting chambers; “Parasitic Slavery” brings this nightmare scenario to bloody, brutal life.

Since being dreamt into life in the last dark days of 2011 by guitarists Jake Ettle-lles and Gareth Nash, Body Harvest have pursued their goal of creating the ultimate distillation of death metal with ferocious intensity, driving themselves onwards without respite. Their “Futile Creation” debut was released in 2014 and was, by any standards, a mighty opening salvo of classic death metal song writing, infused with staggering speed and viciousness; but Body Harvest wanted more – more venomous velocity, more infectious, inescapable riffs, more overwhelming sinister atmosphere, more sheer, bone-breaking heaviness.

For the next four years they played with the genre greats; Mass Infection, Exhumed, Vital Remains, Gorguts, Vader, Immolation and Cannibal Corpse, going toe to toe with the best in the business, always learning, competing, growing in poisonous potency. Now they have poured everything they were and everything they have become into a boiling cauldron of chaos, to create the extreme, intimidating power of Parasitic Slavery.

Produced by Jonny Pettersson (Those Who Bring The Torture, Wombbath, Rogga Johansson) Parasitic Slavery sounds utterly devastating and with the might of Comatose Music now behind them, Body Harvest are ready to conquer the death metal world. On May 3rd this monstrosity will be set free to wreak havoc and the only conceivable outcome is total annihilation. This is the ultimate firestorm. This is the next level of death metal supremacy. This is Body Harvest – Parasitic Slavery!

Former Vital Remains Vocalist Jake Raymond Has Passed Away

Ex-Vital Remains live vocalist Jake Raymond has died. As also mentioned by the group’s guitarist Tony Lazaro below, both former vocalists Scott Wily and Chris Ross both passed last year:

“I found out late yesterday some very sad news that a old friend and Vital Remains singer passed away. His name was Jake Raymond, and he was a good friend! Some of you might remember Jake was VR’s vocalist back in 2001 before we recorded Dechristianize album. He really loved the band and always held us in high regard.

Even though i hadn’t spoken or seen Jake in a few years i always hope things were going good for him. I remember the last time i saw him he came out to one of our local shows in Providence and we had fun catching up and talking about the good old days! We laughed alot that night and i remember he started helping me sell merch and asked if i needed any help?

You were always trying to help bro and i wish i could have helped you bro. Thank you for that and everything else you did for me!! I will always remember the good times we had brother! This is really so sad. I’m sick of losing so many friends this year. This makes three Vital Remains singers that passed in the last year.

Three brothers i will not forget! Thank you Jake for your friendship and all your help when i needed it! Thank you for all your work with the band!! I wish i could have been there for you more brother, but we kind of took different paths. I hope you are at peace now. Rest easy brother and until we meet again. My Deepest condolences to his family and friends. RIP Jake“

Buried Realm Premieres New Song “Asphyxiation’s Lullaby” From Upcoming New Album “The Ichor Carcinoma”

Colorado musician/vocalist Josh Dummer’s solo project Buried Realm premieres a new song entitled “Asphyxiation’s Lullaby”, taken from the upcoming new album “The Ichor Carcinoma”, which is set for release on September 29th, 2017.

The release boasts a list of guest appearances including Bob Katsionis (Firewind, Septicflesh), Brandon Ellis (Arsis, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannabis Corpse), Christopher Amott (Arch Enemy, Armageddon), Dean Paul Arnold (Vital Remains), Marios Iliopoulos (Nightrage), Peter Wichers (Soilwork), Ryan Strain (Recode The Subliminal), Teemu Mäntysaari (Wintersun), and Travis Montgomery (Threat Signal, Jeff Loomis band).

Check out now “Asphyxiation’s Lullaby” below.

Explains Josh Dummer:

“Lyrically, this song entertains the idea of entering the spiritual realm of sleep paralysis, and pulling through the depths of such darkness. Anyone that experiences this knows how freaky it is. Another aggressive and “in your face” tune. Teemu Mäntysaari (Wintersun) and vocalist Ryan Strain are featured on this one.”

Buried Realm Announces “The Ichor Carcinoma” Release

Josh Dummer provides all the core instruments and vocals on his creation Buried Realm’s debut, “The Ichor Carcinoma” with the exception of some very exciting guests such as Bob Katsionis (Firewind, Septicflesh), Brandon Ellis (Arsis, Cannabis Corpse), Christopher Amott (Arch Enemy, Armageddon), Dean Paul Arnold (Vital Remains), Marios Iliopoulos (Nightrage), Peter Wichers (Soilwork), Ryan Strain (Recode The Subliminal), Teemu Mäntysaari (Wintersun) and Travis Montgomery (Threat Signal, Jeff Loomis band).

Dummer describes Buried Realm’s music as “fierce, cutting, technical, melodic, and memorable.” The studio project represents a hidden dimension within himself where the buried disputes of his life are confronted only through music; where he can express musical ideas without compromising.

Eager for the fans to hear his debut album, Dummer reflects: “I feel that listeners can appreciate it, not only on a musical level but hopefully enjoy the listening experience too. This album was a long time in the making and hopefully that translates. ‘The Ichor Carcinoma’ was originally supposed to be an EP. However, I had too many pre-production demos and didn’t want to scrap them, so I decided on a full-length, which fans can expect many guests across the entire album!”

Not afraid to draw deep from a painful wellspring of inspiration, Dummer adds, “Many people close to me, myself included, have been though unfortunate life-threatening situations recently. No one is invincible and everyone walks though life like they are…I couldn’t ignore those events when it came to writing lyrics for this release. Some of the songs go into further detail about the terror I’ve experienced and personal demons I’ve faced. The lyrics are about the mental and physical battles of terminal illness/diseases and the attempt to rebuild.”

“The Ichor Carcinoma” is set for release on September 29th, 2017 and features the following track listing:

1. Portal (0:34)
2. The Ichor Carcinoma (4:56)
3. Asphyxiation’s Lullaby (5:04)
4. Through These Darkened Halls (4:05)

7. Apeiron II – Global Dreamer (5:06)
8. Unscrupulous (6:15)
