Fjoergyn Inks Deal With Lifeforce Records

Lifeforce Records just checked in with the following statement about inking a record deal with Fjoergyn:

“We are proud to announce the signing of German uncompromising avantgarde metal act Fjoergyn to the Lifeforce Records roster! Their new album is set to be released in Autum 2016.

“Originally intended to be a purely orchestral solo work, Fjoergyn was founded in 2003 by musical visionary Stephan L. His approach until today (with now having a full band line-up): to combine opulent orchestral, and classical sounds with heavy guitars, and a metal aesthetic.

“Following this path, Stephan L. achieves oppressive, yet tremendous compositions. Due to its challenging basis, and the unconventional direction of action, the result of his creative work has to be described as epic and forward thinking.

“Through the time of its existence, Fjoergyn evolved to an insider tip for listeners of epic metal looking for a different approach to varicolored, neo-classical heavy music. Under constant accusations, the band declared the human kind to parasite and tells stories of a self-fulfilling prophecy about the end of all days and the final reckoning between nature and mankind.

“So far, Fjoergyn released four albums of thoughtful gloomy music with careful arrangements and exceptional moods. The Thuringians toured across Europe supporting progressive colleagues such as The Vision Bleak, and Alcest. 2016 will see the release of bands fifth full length as well as a first vinyl MLP. And of course the signing of Fjoergyn to Lifeforce Records!”

AC Angry Reveals North American Release For “Black Denim”

With the album due out later this month in Europe, AC Angry has now revealed debut album “Black Denim” will hit the U.S. and Canada on January 14th, 2014 via Dust On The Tracks Records distributed by MVD Entertainment and Universal Music Canada.

The album was produced by Phil Hillen (Powerwolf, Parachutes, The Vision Bleak, Vendetta) at SU2 Studio. Iillustrator Jan Meininghaus (U.D.O., Bolt Thrower, Brainstorm) is responsible for the artwork, which can be viewed below. The following press release was also issued about the album:

“AC Angry is demonstrating with a total of ten songs how a dirty Rock ’n’ Roll album is supposed to sound! Catchy tunes like the pounding opener ‘Booze Horse,’ the intriguing half-ballad ‘It‘s Good To Be Bad’ or the fat speed metal riffs-driven ‘Rock ’n’ Roller Roller Rolla!’ are evidence that singer and guitarist Alan Costa, his congenial lead guitarist Stefan Kuhn, as well as the tight rhythm section, consisting of bassist Dennis Kirsch and drummer Sascha Waack will truly stir up the international scene! Moreover AC Angrypays tribute to the Backyard Babies with the track ‘Rocker.'”

The album’s track listing is as follows:

1. Booze Horse
2. Rock ‘n‘ Roller Roller Rolla!
3. It‘s Good To Be Bad
4. You Got The Thirst – I Got The Booze

The Vision Bleak Reveals “Witching Hour” Album Details

The Vision Bleak will be returning with a fifth studio album titled “Witching Hour” on September 27th, 2013. Pre-orders are available at this location. Prophecy Productions comments:

“Three years after ‘Set Sail To Mystery,’ the masters of Horror Metal have undergone creative rejuvenation. With the spontaneity and playfulness of ‘Witching Hour,’ Schwadorf and Konstanz hark back to their debut ‘The Deathship Has A New Captain,’ and the slogan ‘creepy and haunting entertainment’ has not been more topical and fitting ever since 2004.

“The comprehensive witchcraft concept of ‘Witching Hour’ highlights the duo as morbid storytellers with a bizarrely brutal, yet also entertaining assortment of fairytales and myths up their sleeves. Familiar elements such as groovy, driving riffs, sublime, melodic lead guitars and Konstanz’ unique voice are still the defining characteristics, yet new implementations like the haunting flute or the most versatile and sinister vocals so far are crucial to the fact that ‘Witching Hour’ in its entirety sounds more dour and unfathomable than earlier recordings.”
