Strikeforce To Release New Album In 2017

Midwest Grammy nominated hard rock artist Strikeforce is gearing up for a second HighVolMusic release titled “Incoming,” which is due out in February. Stay tuned for full details. HighVolMusic also comments:

“Their career spanning some 30 years, Strikeforce made their debut in 1984 and broke in the year 1989 through the rock anthem single ‘Fast As Lightning’. KSHE 95 FM in St. Louis, MO was the first FM station in the U.S. to break the song which resulted in a domino effect with more FM stations across the U.S. spinning the track. Strikeforce jumped out on support tours with Joan Jett, Britny Fox, Blue Oyster Cult, Accept, and 38 Special that same year.

“The current line up of Strikeforce consists of Duke Jackson – lead guitar/vocals, Jimmy Burdette – drums, and Dave Rader – bass. ‘Incoming’ is slated for a February 2017 release and will resurrect some tunes from the past as well as new tracks including a cover of the Uriah Heep hit ‘Easy Livin’. Strikeforce will kick off their 2017 on February 11th at the Viper Room in Hollywood, CA at the Pre Grammy Rockfest.”

Night Viper Streaming Full Self-Titled Album

Night Viper is now streaming the entirety of the band’s self-titled debut album, released internationally last week by Svart Records. Listen in below.

Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, the first two ingredients in the Viper pie were Sofie Lee Johansson and Tom Sutton (Horisont, The Order Of Israfel, ex-Church Of Misery). As soon as they met, the chemistry started flying and some pure fist-banging heavy metal demos were thrown down.

They were joined briefly by Sven Nilsson from Antichrist on drums as well as a few others on guitar and bass, but it was once swing master Jonna Karlsson was behind the kit that things started really moving. The folk-tastic stylings of Emil Ridderstolpe on guitar and the fast fingers of Ruben Ã…hlander Persson (Miasmal) on bass completed the lineup.

1. Night Viper
2. The Hammer
3. Curse of a Thousand Deaths
4. Run For Cover
5. Warrior Woman
6. Faces in the Mirror
