Angra Posts “Magic Mirror” Video Online

After having premiered four videos for the album “Ømni,” Angra return in 2019 with quite a bang. The band has shared a new video for the song “Magic Mirror” – a very iconic composition from the most recent album. Watch below.

Inspired by the acidity of Rafael Bittencourt’s questioning lyrics, the director Pedro Jorge worked on the screenplay for “Magic Mirror” and portrayed its topic with subtlety and poetry. The video clip includes the presence of Jaqueline Oliveira and Jéssica Batista – two professional fighters and real warriors in their own lives.

The reflection from the magic mirror reveals that what bothers us in other people is in fact what we need to learn and understand about ourselves. Foes and people that we don’t have empathy for give us the opportunity to discover a shocking pathway of personal growth.

“For this video clip, I wanted to show that what we see in the others is actually something inside us,” reflects guitarist Bittencourt.

“Filming the video clip for ‘Magic Mirror’ was really important to the band because it’s one of my favorite songs from the new record and also because I thought that it had to have a video clip that represented it. We recorded it in a very nice and creative location and I especially like the fighter scenes in the end that show that they’re only one person,” explains bass player Felipe Andreoli.

Fans already consider “Magic Mirror” as one of the classics in Angra’s catalog. It combines the traditional heavy metal formulas, the band’s trademark sound, and the unmistakable voice of Fabio Lione.

Children Of Bodom Reveals New Album “Hexed” Details

Finland’s melodic death superstars Children Of Bodom are proud to the announce the release of their tenth album, Hexed, on March 8th 2019 via Nuclear Blast Records.

COB frontman, guitarist, and mastermind Alexi Laiho comments, “People have said that this album is generally catchier. So I started thinking about that, perhaps the song structures are easier to grasp on initial listen. But there’s some crazy shit in there, almost progressive or at least technical. There are certain melodies across the album that could have come from jazz songs, although they’re completely metal with us, of course (laughs).”

“For me, it has always been very hard to describe our new music,” comments bassist Henkka Blacksmith. “In a way it always feels familiar, but the new stuff also always surprises me. Here we have something that’s very Bodom, but somehow we haven’t done this kind of stuff, possibly ever. Then again, someone said that there’s a somewhat similar vibe to what Follow the Reaper had. I don’t know. Anyway, we had a really hard time choosing the songs for the videos, I guess that’s a positive problem to have.”

“Hexed” saw the return to Finland’s Danger Johnny Studios where COB were reunited with Mikko Karmila (“I Worship Chaos,” “Halo Of Blood,” “Hatebreeder,” “Follow the Reaper” and “Hate Crew Deathroll”) who recorded everything except keyboards and also produced the album with the band. Janne Wirman recorded keyboards at Beyond Abilities Studios. The album was mixed and mastered at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland.

For this album, the band enlisted Deins Forkas to create the album artwork. Bassist Henkka Blacksmith commented on the cover, “For some years I’ve wanted to try a different approach with our cover art. We are so used to digital art, so it’s really hard to do something else. Doing it completely with a computer is somewhat safe and convenient. This time we all agreed to try going old school. We found this cool dude and gave him simple instructions – the cover has to be purple and the reaper has to be central. Half a year later we got his work, and with little tweaking, we now have the cover of Hexed. It is very different from what we are used to, even the Reaper looks different, but at the same time very spooky.”

Hexed will be available for pre-order starting December 7th.

Below is the track listing for “Hexed”

1. The Road
2. Under Grass and Clover
3. Glass Houses
4. Hecate’s Nightmare
5. Kick in the Spleen
6. Platitudes and Barren Words
7. Hexed
8. Relapse (The Nature of My Crime)
9. Say Never Look Back
10. Soon Departed
11. Knuckleduster
12. I Worship Chaos (live)
13. Morrigan (live)
14. Knuckleduster (remix)

Stay tuned for more information about the album as well as announcements about their upcoming US tour in the spring and European trek in the summer!

The Three Tremors Release New Single “Invaders Of The Sky”

The Three Tremors, the new project featuring vocalists Tim “Ripper” Owens (Spirits Of Fire/ex Judas Priest/ex Iced Earth,) Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin (of Jag Panzer and Satan’s Force fame) and Sean “The Hell Destroyer” Peck, known for his work with Cage and Dealer, has posted a new single and lyric video online for the song, “Invaders Of The Sky.” You can check it out below. The song comes from the band’s eponymous debut album, which will be released on January 18th through Steel Cartel Records.

Ripper: “There is a lot going on in this song. This is 3 singers brining it old school with power and highs! To tell you the truth this is what you are going to get on the whole CD!”

Harry: “I would have to say this is one of the more thrashy tracks on album. It has a real chaotic feel too it which I love. I think we are opening the live set with this one too, it’s going to be crazy doing this one live.”

Sean: “Trying to pick which songs to do videos for was almost impossible. All 12 songs on this record are so strong that I have a new favorite each time I listen to it. We decided to pick Invaders From The Sky for one of our videos because the whole imagery of an alien invasion we thought would look killer underneath the ferocity of the music. Hats off to the guys at GHD who did an incredible job putting it together and making it look just how we wanted it. When the album hits in a couple of months everyone will sympathize with how hard it was to single out just which songs to do videos for. Everyone has a different favorite!”

Atreyu Premiere New Official Music Video “In Our Wake”

Atreyu premiere a new official music video for the title track to their new effort “In Our Wake“. That album will be out October 12th via Search & Destroy/Spinefarm.

Says the band’s bassist Porter McKnight of this latest video:

“With this music video, we wanted our longtime director friend Sean Stiegemeie to come up with something completely unlike anything we’ve done before. We wanted to leave the viewer with a feeling of ‘What the fuck did I just watch!?’ and then play it again to deduce what went down.

Most of our videos have been story-based or life-based. But with this, we just wanted the subtle thread of humanity’s growth and decline. It starts with water, then earth, nature, cityscapes, then slowly decaying humanity. We have a choice as a species to start giving a shit about ourselves and the world around us, and what we choose to make of this life.”

Monte Pittman releases new video playlist for each track on ‘Inverted Grasp of Balance’

– May 7th, 2018 –

Announces Los Angeles and New York dates

There are great guitarists, great vocalists and great songwriters, but Monte Pittman is one of the elite few who can truly lay claim to all three titles. With his fourth full-length, Inverted Grasp of Balance (2016), he once again raised the stakes, delivering a riveting collection of full force metal that showcases his continuing evolution. Now, fans can watch a video playlist for each track on the album here: youtube.com

Monte Pittman comments: “We are finally releasing the remainder of videos filmed for ‘Inverted Grasp Of Balance‘. It started out as an idea Travis Colbert had about filming me as a project when he was with me playing my solo shows. Travis has been documenting content for the app, Bravo Tip Or Pay, that I use to sell tickets and merchandise at my shows. Don Jamieson had an idea for ‘Skeleton Key’, I had to climb up on a mountain of rocks luckily not getting eaten by a bunch of rattlesnakes for ‘Arisen In Broad Daylight’, and we filmed ‘Panic Attack’ in the certified haunted Logan Mansion. Along with the videos that have already been released (featuring Leanna Decker, Billy Sheehan, & Richard Christy), you can now watch the entire album. This completes the cycle for ‘Inverted Grasp Of Balance‘”.

To finish off the Inverted Grasp Of Balance album cycle, Monte Pittman will also play shows in Los Angeles and New York next month, performing The Power Of Three (2014) and Inverted Grasp Of Balance in their entirety. See below for more details.

Monte Pittman live
June 2nd – Los Angeles, CA – Unfriendly Studios (1992 E 20th St Unit 13, Vernon, CA 90058)
* get tickets through the Bravo Tip Or Pay app
June 9th – New York, NY – VNYL (100 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10003)

“Mike Zinn has shot all of our videos thus far and totally gets us, plus he was a big fan of ours back in the day so it was easy for him to create an evolution for us on camera,” adds Farrington.

Davd Diepold Of Benighted Named Guest For Demonstealer

Demonstealer has announced another international drummer to contribute towards the much awaited new release “The Last Reptilian Warrior.” Having already employed the services of Kevin Paradis, the band is proud to announce David Diepold from Benighted.

Demonstealer is the solo project of Sahil Makhija who is the founding member of one of India’s biggest bands, Demonic Resurrection. He dons multiple roles and the music is completely in his own vision with ample experimentation and collaborations. The previous Demonstealer album received much praise and saw the release of several official videos in its support. The new album is said to be more death metal and with a number of exemplary musicians slated to be a part of it, it’s highly anticipated around the world. A funding campaign through PledgeMusic is ongoing at this location.

Makhija commented: “I’m super stoked to announced that David Diepold is going to be playing a song on my upcoming EP titled ‘The Last Reptilian Warrior.’ I’ve been floored by his YouTube videos and when I saw him play live in 2015 with Benighted at Brutal Assault I was floored. I had a chance to meet him at the festival and I’ve been wanting to collaborate with him for a while and I’m super excited that he’s now part of this EP. If you don’t know who he is just watch his videos HERE. That’s not all, I had said that there were going to be 3 drummers on this EP, it might just be 4 drummers now. Stay tuned for details.”

The band has also recruited the services of renowned Indian artist Reuben Bhattacharya (Visual Amnesia), who did the breathtaking artwork of the latest Demonic Resurrection album.

Stay tuned for more details.
