Lords Of The Trident Posts New Video “Death Dealer” Online

A true spectacle to be witnessed, Lords Of The Trident is a daring adventure metal quintet that has been delighting their audiences and fans all over the world for ten years. Continuing their epic quest of bringing spectacular and entertaining metal to global fans these power metal warriors released their latest album “Shadows From The Past” this past August. In continuing support of their 7th studio album, these American power metallers are premiering their fifth music video “Death Dealer”. The footage for the music video was shot during the band’s March 2018 TRIDENTour, which included stops in Lexington, KY, Charlotte and Chapel Hill, NC, and Cincinnati, OH.

Vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein adds:

“Almost every house we stayed at had very friendly cats who DEMANDED to be included in the video as well. You’ll also notice that Albus Dumblepurr, the most FAMOUS of the power metal cats, also makes an appearance. I’ll admit, we were all a little starstruck upon meeting him.”

In additional news, the band recently released their limited edition Blood Red Vinyl for “Shadows From The Past”, which is a dual vinyl, 45RPM that comes with a Gatefold Booklet with artwork/lyric insert along with a 320kbps MP3 download card. It is exclusively available on the band’s website here.

“This is our FIRST vinyl release, and we’re incredibly excited to finally have this available! Fun fact: since this is the first press, instead of red dye, we used the blood of the unworthy who were slain at our concerts! Gives it a little extra touch!” says vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein.

Amorphis Premiere New Music Video “Amongst Stars” – Anneke Van Giersbergen Guests

Amorphis are celebrating the release of their thirteenth studio album “Queen Of Time” with the below debut of their new music video for “Amongst Stars“. The song and clip both feature a guest appearance from Anneke Van Giersbergen (Vuur, ex-The Gathering).

Explains Amorphis’ lead guitarist Esa Holopainen:

“‘Amongst Stars‘ turned out as one of the most solid songs on the album. The song itself was not the easiest one to work with.

We tried a lot of different variations during the pre-production and finally Jens‘ co-producer friend Per Aldeheim came up with these great vocal lines and idea for an duetto.

We have been privileged to work with Anneke before so it was pretty clear to ask her to help us out with the song. As everyone knows her voice is more than stunning and she is surrounded by incredibly positive aura.

As a result we have a really beautiful and catchy duetto where both singers do unbelievable work. We are extremely happy that Anneke was available during the time of our recordings and it was great to get her to the video as well. Lucky us.”

Commeents Anneke Van Giersbergen:

“When Amorphis asked me to participate in a song for their new album, I immediately said yes without having to listen to it first because I knew it would be good.

But when they sent it to me to start working on it and I was totally blown away! It‘s such a powerful and melodic song, I am proud to be part of it. The video for this song is equally epic.

The guys of Amorphis look and sound fantastic and I am truly happy to ride with them on this journey towards their new album.”

Herald Releases "Amanita" Music Video

Estonian act Herald has released the band’s first music video for “Amanita,” taken off the “Gaia” album. Herald commented on the clip:

“The video as well as the song is telling a story about the primal force of a mushroom. The video does not feature the classical stereotypes of a heavy metal music video (chains, leather, fire, rockin band etc.), but it represents an independent surrealistic short movie instead, which leaves plenty of room for imagination. Main part of the video consists of mass scenes where everyday rough-edged metal-heads had to wear a black suit with a white shirt, in short – become boring white-collars. Alongside with self-finding protagonist, the most important character in the plot is the mystic mutant-mushroom which is the initiator to the forthcoming lunacy.

“The directors of the video are Adeele Sepp and Marika Palm. Director of photography is Madis Reimund. Video was produced by Sven Varkel. Music is written by Egert Vandel and Tauno Nava and lyrics are written by Egert Vandel.”
