Video Clip For New Song “Hollow Chains” Posted By Shattered Sun

With a week away from the release of “The Evolution Of Anger,” the second album for Victory Records, modern metal act Shattered Sun has unveiled the video for the new single “Hollow Chains.” Perfectly outlining the demise of cultural and social consciousness, the video also exhibits the ferociousness Shattered Sun is known to deliver on stage.

“Everyone hides behind a keyboard nowadays, and ‘Hollow Chains’ is a call for individuals to take back their identity,” prompts Shattered Sun vocalist Marcos Leal. “Everyone seems to take their arguments to the digital front and fight unnecessary battles between each other every day. All of a sudden any particular event takes away our identities as human beings and replaces it with a close-minded, cold-hearted dismissal of another person that disagrees. It’s fueling the divide by turning us on each other. Take away unity and replace it with the ‘every man for himself’ attitude, and it creates a hollow chain around us all.”

Check out “Hollow Chain” here:

Shattered Sun will channel fury to the stages beginning with a hometown album release show on July 20th with label-mates Darkness Divided, and then join the 2017 Vans Warped Tour on July 26th outside of St. Louis, MO, and round out the tour on its final date in Pomona, CA on August 6th. Additional dates supporting “The Evolution Of Anger” will be announced soon.

Shattered Sun Premieres New Song & Music Video “Burn It Down” From Upcoming New Album “The Evolution Of Anger”

Shattered Sun premieres a new song and music video entitled “Burn It Down”, taken from the upcoming new album “The Evolution Of Anger”, which Victory Records will release on July 21st. The band recorded the album with producer Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, DevilDriver) and will be appearing on this year’s ‘Vans Warped Tour‘ from July 26th to August 06th.

Check out now “Burn It Down” below.

Tells frontman Marcus Leal:

“We almost burned this band into the ground internally. Between all the things we have done over the years, things finally came to the surface. Once [guitarist] Daniel [Trejo] came back into the fold, the first song he showed me was ‘Burn It Down‘ and it was a perfect reflection of what occurred within Shattered Sun.”

We Ride Signs With Victory Records

Victory Records is proud to announce the worldwide signing of Spain’s hardcore crew We Ride, with “Empowering Life” coming out on April 14th. Today, the band shares a video for “Self Made,” which can be seen below.

Helmed by front-woman Mimi Telmo, We Ride self-produced and released a first demo in 2009, followed by first full-length album “Directions” in 2010. With the well-received acclaim of next release, 2012’s “On The Edge,” We Ride quickly gained fans around the world while igniting pits alongside H2O, Comeback Kid, Madball, Bane, and many others in over 30 countries worldwide.

“Signing with Victory Records is the reward of seven years of hard work and also a motivator to deliver the goods,” promises Telmo. “It has not been easy to be taken seriously in a man’s world. Especially in today’s political climate, it is beyond critical that women support each other. I want to be a positive figure for females involved in the hardcore punk scene. Personally, it has been difficult at times, many feeling offended there being a front-girl in hardcore. ‘Self Made’ is about breaking the stereotypes. Victory is the label that wrote the book on hardcore and it’s an incredible feeling to be a part of it. This is just the beginning and we are here to stay.”

We Ride hit the studio in 2016 with Alex Cappa at Metal Factory Studios outside Madrid, and the album was mixed in early 2017 by Cameron Webb (Motorhead, NOFX). The ten track blitzkrieg features Deez Nuts front-man JJ Peters on the track “What You Are.”

1. Voices
2. Self-Made
3. What You Are (featuring JJ Peters of Deez nuts)
4. Time Is Now
5. Do It All Again
6. Summer
7. I’mpossible

Killitorous Recruits New Vocalist Mathieu Dhani

Killitorous just issued the following announcement online about bringing on new vocalist Mathieu Dhani:

“We are happy to welcome (with bong hits and beers) Mathieu Dhani to the Killitorous family. Mathieu is a monster vocalist and great friend from the heart of Quebec City, Canada.

“As some of you may know this is happening in the wake of Youri Raymond’s incarceration in federal prison. For the past several months this has been a very sensitive subject for us, as we love and miss our brother Youri.

“All this being said, Youri helped choose Mathieu and will be rejoining the band upon his release on bass and backing vocals. You can check out Mathieu’s debut tour with the band this November & December 2015 on tour with Erimha (Victory Records) and The Apex.”
