Music Video For New Single “Never Alone” Posted By Winds Of Plague

Los Angeles metal act Winds Of Plague has debuted an all new music video today for the brand new track “Never Alone.” Check it out in the player below.

The clip, directed by Orie McGinness, is the first bit of music we’re hearing from the band from the upcoming LP “Blood of My Enemy,” which is set to drop on October 28th via eOne. “Never Alone was actually one of the first songs written for this record and immediately became the balance point for the remaining songs that were to be written,” says vocalist Johnny Plague. “It’s not the heaviest song of the record and it isn’t the most melodic song of the record. I wanted this to be the first taste of the new album because I feel it best represents the new music showcasing both the dark symphonic arrangements and the vast range of vocal styles used on the record.”

“I have always used WOP music videos as an opportunity to create cinematic shorts. Never Alone is no different. We partnered with Enlighten Creative Studio’s to tell the story of a misunderstood woman who has harnessed her inner demons to her advantage. I design and produce haunted attractions for my career so it’s always fun when I can bring my two worlds together to create these videos.”

The all new effort will be the follow up to the widely celebrated “Resistance” LP released in 2013. Johnny continues, “Over a year ago I started making weekly trips up to a small apartment in North Hollywood on my days off to work on music for WOP with Noah Sebastian from Bad Omens. It was strange at first since past WOP records were worked on in larger recording studio’s or rehearsal spaces and now here I am sitting on the floor of this bedroom working on record number six.”

Johnny continues, “Although it was different and humbling it proved to be the unedited creative environment we needed for this record. We had no time limits, no ‘suits’ giving their input. It was just a few friends sitting in a room together, having a good time creating music. Something I haven’t been able to experience in a very long time. Sometimes to move forward you have to take a few steps back. I can confidently say this is the most satisfied I have been with a WOP record. I feel producer’s Noah Sebastian and Joakim Karlsson have helped us to further develop our unique approach to symphonic deathcore with distinct epic orchestral backed chorus’s walking the fine line of brutal and melodic.”

Additionally, the band teamed up with artist Pär Olofsson to create the stunning cover art seen below. “‘Blood Of My Enemy’ takes us back to the iconic samurai theme. The imagery is inspired by a lyric from the title track ‘I will give my life on the battlefield, drowning in the blood of my enemy’ Which represents to me a ‘I will fight to the end’ state of mind. Pär Olofsson brilliantly portrays the aftermath of an epic war showing an almost celestial spark of life amongst the carnage.”

The track listing for the album is:

1. A New Day
2. Nameless Walker
3. Kings Of Carnage
4. Soul Eater
5. From Failure, Comes Clarity
6. Blood Of My Enemy
7. Snakeskin
8. Never Alone

10. Either Way You Lose

12. Dark Waters

Eyes Of The Sun signs worldwide deal with Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records

– September 12th, 2017 –

Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the worldwide signing of Brooklyn’s doom metal trio Eyes Of The Sun! After releasing their self-titled EP in 2010, and debut full-length Chapter I in 2013, the band is now poised to release their sophomore effort in 2018 via Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records.

Eyes Of The Sun comments: “This is the absolute highlight of our journey and we look forward to the days ahead. We are extremely proud to be part of the Blacklight Media/Metal Blade family and its history. This is a testament to the support of our friends, family and fans that have been with of us throughout the years.”

Chris Santos (Blacklight Media) adds: “The beauty of Blacklight Media, for me, is that I get to work with bands from so many different genres of metal, and am so psyched to be building such a diverse and uniquely different roster of amazing metal bands. On that note, I’m super stoked to be working with my friends Eyes Of the Sun from right here in Brooklyn, who are a crushingly heavy, wall-shaking earthquake of heavy doom with a live sound that has to be heard to be believed.”

Eyes Of The Sun was conceived in early 2007 by bassist/vocalist Jeff Blanchard. Long-time friend Miguel De Jesus Jr. joined the ranks with Jeff a few months later on guitar. Within a few years, and after a couple of past members on second guitar and drums, Chris O’Neil joined as the permanent drummer. As a trio, they performed countless shows over the past 10 years, delivering their unique brand of doom metal – which leaves listeners with a range of emotions, that the band themselves then experience and extract from. The band explains: “It is known throughout the laws of science and nature that the sun creates and sustains life…Now it stands witness to the atrocities, depletion and vile consumption manifested by mankind, which it originally sustained life for. In our way, we portray what is seen through the Eyes Of The Sun.”

Stay tuned for more news about Eyes Of The Sun coming soon!

Signs Of The Swarm Releasing New Album “The Disfigurement Of Existence”

Pittsburgh death metal squad and recent Unique Leader signees Signs Of The Swarm will release latest full-length, “The Disfigurement Of Existence,” on November 3rd.

The ten-track offering was mixed and mastered by Phil Pluskota (Abiotic, King Conquer) of Sonic Assult Studios in Cape Corral, Florida, features a guest appearance by Dickie Allen (Abiotic, Bludgeoned Beyond Reason), and comes swathed in the cover art of Par Olaffson.

Offers Signs Of The Swarm vocalist CJ McCreery, “Our first album ‘Senseless Order’ was mainly to get the point across that we know how to bring the heavy. A lot of the songs were fairly slow and nothing really stood out as far as appealing to anyone more than the standard ‘deathcore’ fan base.

“For ‘The Disfigurement of Existence,’ we all dove into our own craft and stepped our game up one-hundred-percent individually to really bring this album together and be more than just a standard ‘deathcore’ band. We got our new guitarist (Jacob Toy) and drummer (Jimmy Pino) right when we started the writing process for TDOI and immediately realized that all of our minds working together could make an absolutely insane album, and I feel like we accomplished that goal. The guitar riffs are way more intricate, Jimmy’s drumming is fucking batshit crazy, and I made sure to really step it up vocally and lyrically.

“An unbelievable amount of work, sweat, and tears — and probably blood at some point too — went into this album and we are so excited to finally release it to everyone and show what we are now capable of. We cannot wait to see what the near future holds and are extremely excited to tour new places and meet new fans. The amount of support we got in the last year is so incredibly heartwarming and all of us are blessed beyond words to have such awesome fans and be where we are right now in our careers. A huge thanks to Unique Leader Records for believing in us and having us join the team to make this album possible. We’re just getting started.”

1. Cesspool Of Ignorance
2. Failed Breed
3. Cowards Deathbed
4. Lifeless Visitors
5. Final Phase
6. Guided Into Serenity
7. Nightcrawler’s
8. Descending Into Despair
9. Embedded In Fear
10. Misery From Demoralization

New Album “Imperium” Detailed By The Kennedy Veil

California death metal legion The Kennedy Veil will release the newest full-length “Imperium” on October 20th via Unique Leader Records. The eight-track offering was produced, mixed, and mastered by Zack Ohren (Animosity, Suffocation, All Shall Perish et al) at Castle Ultimate Productions and features guest appearances by Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder, Sven de Caluwé of Aborted, and Dickie Allen of Infant Annihilator. It comes swathed in the cover art of Robert Cook (see it below).

The occult has been a construct within civilizations all over the world, varying in degree and modernity, but always present. Each individual culture derives its occultism from the dark myths that permeate within its subconscious hive mind. America as a culture — as an experiment — has been volatile since day one. Plagued by a history of genocide, slavery, and corruption, its burgeoning occult is in its fragile yet violent infancy. Imperium highlights themes of this encapsulation: That is, fear, myth, despair, and humanity’s inclination toward utter corruption.

Taking influence from a purer, more ancient evil of European descent, The Kennedy Veil has incorporated symphonic, blackened themes that parallel the lyrical aesthetic. Moving one step away from the more technical side and two steps into a deeper, darker, more blackened aggression.

Issues the band: “We are beyond excited to bring you our newest and greatest interpretation of darkness and intensity: ‘Imperium.’ This album shows our maturation not only as musicians but as individuals seeking truth amongst a never before seen landscape of obfuscation and evil. These eight songs came from our hands to warn of the oncoming desolation our culture is awaiting. We give you Imperium. A new chapter in The Kennedy Veil tome. Nowhere is safe.”

Preorders for Imperium will be available in the coming weeks. The track list is:

1. Godslaughter
2. Legacy Left
3. Hunted To Extinction
4. Draconian
5. Last Born
6. Flesh Of The Sun
7. Dawning Of Wrathful Deities
8. Seething Rot

The Walking Dead Orchestra Releasing New Album “Resurrect”

French death metal legion The Walking Dead Orchestra will release second full-length album, “Resurrect,” on October 13th via Unique Leader Records. Issues the band of the self-produced offering:

“We conditioned ourselves to unleash our primal influences, it’s a back-to-the-roots process with old-school riffs tuned to the more modern sound. We are proud of this combination. Each song has its own identity. We recorded, mixed, and mastered the entire album by ourselves at our own studio, Spike Recording Studio, which allowed us to keep every step of the production process under control. This gave us the time and freedom to really develop our sound.

“This album imposes an ambiance with many twists and surprises and the songs structures are more mature. This is a new chapter for the band but also for the Architect, the main character of The Walking Dead Orchestra’s concept which takes place through a post-apocalyptic world. The artwork reflects The Walking Dead Orchestra’s universe and illustrates each situation our main character goes through.”

Pre-orders for “Resurrect” will be available in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out “Dogmes Anxiogenes” below.
