Alterbeast To Release New Album “Feast” In February

Alterbeast’s new album, “Feast“ has been scheduled for a February 23rd release date, via Unique Leader Records. The album was engineered and mixed by Zack Ohren (Immolation, Fallujah) at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, CA. Guitarist Andrew Lamb states of the outing, which features also studio drums from current Trivium drummer Alex Bent:

“I’ve never been more proud of a record then I am with Feast. We poured our hearts, souls, hate, and malice into this album, and I think it really shows. With the addition of Michael’s ‘take no prisoners’ vocals, and Alex Bent‘s ‘Beast-Mode’ style drumming; Feast is hands down our best album yet, and it will remind everyone that Wolftang Clan ain’t nothin’ to fuck with.”

Adds vocalist Michael Alvarez:

“When listening to the rough pre production I was immediately blown away at the how awesome the songs were! Both Andrew and Alex really killed it, inspiring me to deliver some of the best vocal tracks I have ever recorded!” I’m truly honored to have taken part on this record and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as we enjoyed writing and recording it!”
Pre-orders and a new song are expected soon. In the meantime, the following track listing was unveiled for the release:

01 – “Welcome to Your Doom”
02 – “The Maggots Ascension”
03 – “Black Flame Illumination”
04 – “Feast”
05 – “Vile Skin Posession”
06 – “Apex Night Eclipse”
07 – “Coffin Crescendo ”
08 – “Where Dead Angels Lie” (Dissection cover)
09 – “Upon The Face Of The Deep“

Mother Feather launches lyric video for “Egyptology”

Track set to be aired during ‘Shameless’ episode this weekend!

Currently finishing work on their sophomore album with Grammy-nominated producer Joshua Valleau (Kanye West, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Common, Imani Coppola, Alice Smith), Mother Feather has launched a new lyric video for the track “Egyptology” (by Isaiah King / ikingdesign.com), which can be viewed at: youtube.com/watch?v=o3gIjqeZpe4

“Egyptology” will also be aired during the new episode of Showtime’s Shameless, on November 19th at 9PM ET/PT. For more information about Shameless, please visit: sho.com/shameless

Mother Feather front-woman Ann Courtney says of the song, “I wrote ‘Egyptology’ after doing an archeological dig of my soul. It’s pure pop myth–if ancient Egypt looked like the Bowery in 1970′s NYC. It’s a story of rebirth into a supremely fabulous rock and roll afterlife.” Of the new lyric video, Courtney says, “Isaiah King has been a trusted collaborator ever since we made the ‘Mother Feather’ video together. We knew he could build upon the amazing work he’d done with the ‘Egyptology’ single cover artwork, and he blew us away with the final result. It didn’t hurt that he’d taken a trip to Egypt a few years before and had sketchbooks full of incredible material to incorporate.”

Mother Feather will release their upcoming album in 2018 via Metal Blade Records. “The newest songs for the album were written last fall and winter in the midst and aftermath of the US presidential election,” Courtney comments. “The political climate and outcome were personally devastating, but it also re-ignited my sense of purpose. I locked myself away to write, face my depression, and stare down some uncomfortable feelings. Truthfully, I went to some very dark and lonely places. So there’s a lot of fever – and intimacy – in the new music. When I emerged from my self-exile, I discovered my band waiting for me on the other side, so there’s exuberance and catharsis there too. It’s good to have friends, ya know?! Together, we worked to develop the songs and shape them into some of Mother Feather‘s best, most eclectic work yet. We couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity to continue our work with Metal Blade.”

Mother Feather released their self-titled album last year via Metal Blade Records; for their efforts, the group has garnered massive buzz for their unique brand of rock, vibrant Bowie-esque costumes and makeup, and enthralling live show. Having been featured on IFC.com, TeamCoco.com, and HuffingtonPost.com (who declared them as “a great New York City band in the tradition of Great New York City Bands”), Mother Feather was also named “new band of the week” by Metal Hammer, and has received much play on Daniel P. Carter’s Rock Show on BBC Radio 1. To preview and purchase Mother Feather, please visit: metalblade.com/motherfeather

Mother Feather launches lyric video for “Trampoline” – track set to be aired during ‘Shameless’ season premiere this weekend!

Currently finishing work on their sophomore album with Grammy-nominated producer Joshua Valleau (Kanye West, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Common, Imani Coppola, Alice Smith), Mother Feather has launched a new lyric video for the track “Trampoline”, which can be viewed at: youtube.com/watch?v=L46R-gAzI7w

The lyric video was created by King Z (Dylan Bowman), a young artist Mother Feather‘s Ann Courtney met fortuitously at one of the band’s live shows in Brooklyn a couple years ago. “He made quite a first impression on me,” says Courtney. “It was his first NYC rock show ever and he was totally wild-eyed afterwards, a fireball of pure enthusiasm. I liked him right away. Dylan made the move to Brooklyn to attend art school at Pratt shortly thereafter and I’ve become a big fan of spectacularly psychedelic style, which is on full display in his webseries, ‘King Z.’ I was thrilled when he agreed to collaborate and lend his style to a lyric video for ‘Trampoline.’”

“Trampoline” will also be aired during the season premiere of Showtime’s Shameless, on November 5th at 9PM ET/PT. For more information about Shameless, please visit: http://www.sho.com/shameless

New Album “Life” Announced By JoNo, Band Signs With Frontiers Music Srl

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the upcoming release from JoNo entitled “Life,” which will be available December 1st. Today, the band has released a music video for the first single, “No Return.” Check it out in the player at the bottom.

Pre-order “Life” at this location. Digital pre-orders come with an instant download of “No Return.”

The band says: ‘We are very thrilled and proud about our cooperation with Frontiers Music Srl, a label which is home to so many great artists we truly respect and admire. As a band, this is an excellent opportunity to reach the international markets we’ve been aiming for. We can’t wait to release the coming album, and of course hit the stage to be heard and seen by a wider audience, meeting with old and new fans. See you all out there!’

JoNo started as a solo project of singer Johan Norrby (hence the moniker “JoNo”), who has been singing, writing, and playing music in various bands and projects over the years. This is very much true for all the members of the band. Guitarist Stefan Helleblad is also a member of Dutch symphonic sensations Within Temptation. Drummer Nicka Hellenberg actually played all the drums on Within Temptation’s “The Unforgiving” and has an impressive resume involving bands and recordings. Both keyboard player Johan Carlgren and bass player Janne Henriksson are frequently hired for both live and studio sessions. Leo Olsson – also a busy musician – joined the band in 2015.

JoNo’s music is hard to pinpoint. Maybe it’s best described as melodic rock with symphonic and progressive elements, always based on strong melodies with bombastic arrangements. Dynamics and a contemporary, fat sound are important ingredients in the JoNo musical recipe. The music has been said to show the influence of great artists like Queen, Supertramp, Kansas, Journey and Sparks, but above all the band has received a lot of credit and praise because of their unique sound.

The track listing for “Life” is:

1. Sailors
2. Crown
3. No Return
4. On The Other Side
5. Downside
6. To Be Near You
7. My Love
8. The Magician
9. Trust
10. The March
