Accept bassist and founding member Peter Baltes has announced that after forty years with Accept, he is leaving the group. He did not give any reasons for his departure, but a post on the band’s official Facebook page read:

“To all Accept fans:

“I hereby like to announce my departure as Bassplayer from Accept. I have been with the band from the very beginning. Many of you have been there as well. I like to thank you all for the great years we shared together.

“Keep it Metal.
Peter”

A statement from the rest of the band members soon afterwards read:

“We are all heart broken! Peter needed a change in his life and we wish him all the best. He will always be part of the Accept Family and to honor his tribute to music history, we should all wish him well. Gaby, Wolf,Mark, Uwe & Christopher …indeed ACCEPT WILL KEEP IT METAL!”

Ice Nine Kills Premiere New Music Video For “Stabbing In The Dark”

Ice Nine Kills debut a new music video for their track “Stabbing In The Dark” off their latest effort, “The Silver Scream“.

Comments Ice Nine Kills’ vocalist Spencer Charnas:

“I am proud to present what I believe to be the most intense installment yet of The Silver Scream film. ‘Stabbing In The Dark‘ is our tribute to John Carpenter‘s holy grail of slasher flicks — ‘Halloween‘. We also combine franchises here with a nod to ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street‘, as the security guard in the clip is played by the fantastic Ricky Dean Logan. He met his demise in ‘Freddy’s Dead‘ and that particular kill, where he gets his ear cut off, is widely known as Robert Englund‘s favorite death in the series.

He’s been in everything from horror to ‘Seinfeld‘ to ‘Back To The Future‘, so I knew he would be able to capture the essence of terror but with an underlying tongue-in-cheek spirit. The amazing people at Haunted Overload horror park in Lee, New Hampshire lent their amazing resources to us to make this the most visually stunning episode so far.”

Just Before Dawn Premieres New Song “A Tribute (We Will Remember Them)” From Upcoming New Album

Swedish death metal band Just Before Dawn premieres a new song entitled “A Tribute (We Will Remember Them)”, taken from the upcoming new album. “A Tribute (We Will Remember Them)” is a medley of Bolt Thrower songs. Bolt Thrower – who on September 14 (the one-year anniversary of the death of Martin ‘Kiddie’ Kearns) announced that the band would be interred with him – has been a significant influence on the band’s own music, which has itself been war-themed from the beginning, and this medley does full honor to Bolt Thrower’s legacy.

Check out now “A Tribute (We Will Remember Them)” below – which will active only for 24 hours.

Below you can read Bolt Thrower’s September 14 announcement from their official web page:

“Announcement by Bolt Thrower – Sept. 14, 2016

On behalf of ourselves and Kiddie’s family, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and support over the last 12 months. Together with Kiddie’s family we made the conscious decision to keep his unexpected death a private matter, and to take time out to deal with it all.

When Kiddie joined us back in 1994, although he was only 17, he instantly improved Bolt Thrower as a live band, and no one was more loyal to, and prouder to be in Bolt Thrower than him.

We spent over 20 years together, touring the world, with 3 different vocalists, but he was so much more than just a drummer to us. So when we carried his coffin to his final resting place, the Bolt Thrower drummer position was buried with him. He was, and will now forever remain THE Bolt Thrower drummer, our Powerhouse and friend Martin “Kiddie” Kearns.

As for the rest of us, Bolt Thrower has been our way of life for 30 years, never driven by money, fame or ego, but by our own personal principles and values that have guided us through life, and which bonded us as friends long before Bolt Thrower was even formed…

“We are not now that strength which in old days
moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.”

Hellbros Covers “Ace Of Spades” Live

Ottawa, ON’s loud, wild and heavy rock n’rollers from Hellbros have posted a new live video covering Motorhead’s classic track “Ace of Spades.” The video was filmed during a performance at Moose McGuire’s in Ottawa.

In 2014, we took a band trip and had a chance to rub shoulders with them on Motorhead’s Motorboat cruise that ran through the Gulf of Mexico. A good time we will never forget! So this is our Tribute to Lemmy, the baddest ass motherfucker in rock n roll.”

Hellbros recently returned from a first European tour with shows in Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands and will be heading back into the studio this fall to record a new album entitled “Take The Animal.”
