Twitching Tongues streams new album, “Disharmony”, via Lambgoat.com

– October 26th, 2015 –

This Friday (October 30th), southern California’s rising underground metal/hardcore outfit Twitching Tongues will release their new album, Disharmony, via Metal Blade Records. To listen to Disharmony in its entirety, head over to Lambgoat.com now for the exclusive stream HERE.

For a behind-the-scenes look at Disharmony, be sure to check out the following footage from guitarist/vocalist Taylor Young’s studio (“The Pit”) in Van Nuys, CA during the album recording session HERE.

Known for their unique sound that resists lazy classification, Twitching Tongues has dropped two full-lengths, toured extensively and garnered a cult following since their formation in 2009 by brothers Colin and Taylor Young. Yet it’s the band’s third album – and Metal Blade debut – Disharmony that sees the LA-based quintet truly come into their own. Dynamic, powerful, and instantly gripping, Disharmony pushes musical and emotional boundaries to create something that is not only fresh and exciting, but really matters. States vocalist Colin Young, “We’ve always put everything we’ve got into our music, but this one is more personal. It’s darker, it’s more aggressive, and I’m sure it will be more polarizing too, but we’re more invested in it than anything we’ve done before, and we couldn’t be prouder of the end result.”

Pre-order Disharmony now at metalblade.com/twitchingtongues.

Upon releasing Disharmony, Twitching Tongues will head out on the road for a North American tour with Harms Way, Homewrecker, and Malice at the Palace. See below for all dates.

Twitching Tongues Streaming New Track “Sacrifice Me”

Southern California’s rising underground metal/hardcore band Twitching Tongues has unveiled a new song called “Sacrifice Me” today. The track is featured on the band’s impending third studio album, “Disharmony,” which will be released on October 30th with Metal Blade Records.

“Choosing the next song to release from the album was a difficult task, but we wanted to showcase something different from the title track that represented another part of the overall dynamic,” vocalist Colin Young tells NPR.org. “We chose ‘Sacrifice Me’ because something about it just felt like magic when we recorded it. It doesn’t sound like any other Twitching Tongues song, and it’s got a spirit of its own within the record. It’s for those constantly affected by the negative actions of others growing up: The freaks, the nerds, the outcasts, the bullied. Always fight back. ‘They deserve every second of pain’.”

Twitching Tongues Add New Guitarist, Sean Martin (Ex-Hatebreed), To Lineup

– September 22nd, 2015 –

September 22, 2015 – Los Angeles, CA – LA underground metal/hardcore band Twitching Tongues has announced they’ve added lead guitarist Sean Martin (ex-Hatebreed) as an official member of the band, which also includes brothers Colin Young (vocals) and Taylor Young (guitar/vocals).

Martin amicably split with Hatebreed in 2009 and joins Twitching Tongues as they prepare for the release of their upcoming, third studio album, “Disharmony,” which will be released on October 30th via Metal Blade Records.

The addition of Sean to Twitching Tongues is absolutely fucking insane to us,” says Colin. “He is someone Taylor and I have looked up to and respected musically for over a decade. For two kids from Connecticut, this is as good as it gets.

I’m excited to say that I’ll be playing guitar for Twitching Tongues in support of their new album, Disharmony,” adds Martin. “I’m looking forward to getting back on the road to do what I was born to do… summon the riff. See you all soon.

Twitching Tongues Announce Headlining Tour In Support Of New Record, ‘Disharmony’

– September 2nd, 2015 –

September 1, 2015 – Los Angeles, CA – LA’s underground metal/hardcore band Twitching Tongues has announced a fall headlining tour with Harm’s Way in support of their upcoming record, Disharmony, which is due out October 30th on Metal Blade Records. Additional support will be provided by Homewrecker and Malice At The Palace.

Twitching Tongues recently unveiled details of their forthcoming record, Disharmony, and debuted a new video for the record’s title track. Watch the video for “Disharmony” here: https://youtu.be/ZxpU88kACxg

The highly anticipated third record from brothers Colin Young (vocals) and Taylor Young (guitars/vocals) and company follows the band’s critically heralded releases Sleep Therapy (2012) and In Love There Is No Law (2013) and will be their debut for their new label Metal Blade Records.

The sludgy stomp riffs and unique vocal approach remind me of bands like Life of Agony, Only Living Witness, and Carnivore… They are analog and rough around the edges… Twitching Tongues are doing something very genuine, absurdly heavy, and more importantly, interesting.” – VH1.com

Their new song, “Disharmony,” also carries with it some Southern sludge influence in the slow, chuggy riffs and particularly in the vocals: Colin Young sounds like a mix of modern-day Phil Anselmo and Kirk Windstein rolled into one, crooning and bellowing his way through this dynamic track.” – MetalSucks.net

Pre-order Disharmony now at metalblade.com/twitchingtongues and follow the band facebook.com/twitchingtongues for additional updates.
