Debut Self-Titled Album From Bigfoot Expected This Fall

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of the self-titled debut of one of the latest U.K. signings – Bigfoot. The album will be released October 13th.

Bigfoot is a hard rock band from Wigan who burst onto the scene in the spring of 2014. With a wide range of influences from The Eagles through to Pantera, the group boasts the powerful vocals of Antony Ellis, dual lead guitars from Sam Millar and Mick McCullagh, plus the thunderous rhythm section of bassist Matt Avery and drummer Tom Aspinall.

Order the debut album at this location or digitally through iTunes or Google Play. Digital pre-orders come with an instant download of the new song “The Fear,” the video clip of which you can see in the player below.

“The Fear” was written shortly after the release of the second EP. Sam Millar describes it as
“a song about the fear in our heads and how it can consume your whole life and take over”, while musically Mick McCullagh states that “it is a Jekyll and Hyde type affair. There’s the gnarly, in your face heavy rock guitar side of it, then the melodic, anthemic side with big uplifting vocals. It’s very dynamic, which adds to the tension we were aiming for.”

The video for “The Fear” was shot by Shane Green at The Giffard in Wolverhampton.
Tom Aspinall says “we had played there a month or so before and thought the stage would be perfect for the shots we wanted with the idea of it being quite dark and frantic. We’ve worked with Shane in the past and knew he would deliver a fast paced and exciting video.”

Having toured constantly around the UK and performed at festivals including Breakout, Bloodstock, Hard Rock Hell, Steelhouse and more, the quintet have built themselves a loyal grassroots following in home territory. Two successful self-released EP’s also drew the attention of the Naples based rock powerhouse Frontiers Music Srl, who signed them to their roster as fast as it could.

The self-titled debut album was co-produced by the band with Justin Richards (who also mixed the record), it consists of eleven songs. The artwork and track listing are as follows:

1. Karma
2. The Fear
3. Tell Me A Lie
4. Forever Alone
5. Eat Your Words
6. Prisoner Of War
7. Freak Show
8. I Dare You
9. The Devil In Me
10. Uninvited
11. Yours

Underground Symphony Records Inks Deal With Hidden Memories For Full Length Debut

Underground Symphony Records is proud to announce the signing of Italy’s Hidden Memories to a recording contract for the release worldwide of the debut full length album “Empirical Fragments.” The album was produced by Giulio Capone of Temperance and will be available this autumn as cd and digital download.

The band promises this will be a direct, no frills album, lead by the amazing guitarwork of Jader Phan Van and Andrea Agliardi, the pristine vocals of Filippo Riganti and anchored by the thunderous drums of Michael Borghi and bass of Andrea Boccarusso. The album will feature songs as “Over the Edge,” “First Step in the Dark” and “Insane Equilibrium.” The band’s style could be best described as a powerful mix of classic metal with catchy melodies, shredding solos and a very punchy approach improved by some keyboards elements.

The band commissioned artist Gianni Galli for the album’s artwork, which will be revealed along with the track list and release date in the near future.

Kaine Streaming “Justice Injustice” Single, Recruits New Bassist Stephen Ellis

Kaine has a new single online titled “Justice Injustice,” which can be heard below. The single was recorded in two days at Threecircles Recording Studio earlier this year and was produced by Ade Hare, who had previously worked on the band’s 2012 debut album “Falling Through Freedom.” The track was mastered by Z-Plane who had also worked on the band’s last album “The Waystone.”

The song marks a return to the band’s heavier routes with big riffs and harsh vocals provided by front man Rage Sadler, epic lead guitars and solos from lead guitarists Saxon Davids and Ant Murch while being backed by the thunderous rhythm section of Dan Mailer (making his last appearance) on bass and Chris MacKinnon on drums.

Kaine also now announces Stephen Ellis (Drop Dead Fred/Failing to Fly) has joined the band – replacing Mailer – on bass ahead of the preparation for the recording of an upcoming third album to be released on Revival Metal Records.

Stephen Ellis commented: “Kaine has been one of my favourite bands on the local scene for a while. I have played with Chris MacKinnon in one of my other bands (Drop Dead Fred Band) for a few years now and have been supportive of the band throughout. I was originally brought into the band as a temp but I was asked to take the role full time after the first practice, which is very cool. Dan Mailer is obviously going to be a very hard act to follow as that guy is an insane bass player but I will try my hardest to continue his legacy.”

The official Motorhead website is currently running a competition inviting submissions for a live video version of “Killed By Death” from the special tour edition of the “Aftershock” album (reviewed here).

Motorhead fans who have dreamt of making an official video for their favorite band have finally gotten their wish. To celebrate the Tour Edition of the “Aftershock” album (a double-disc set containing “Aftershock” and a bonus live disc from Motorhead’s Spring U.S. dates titled “Best of the West Coast Tour”) fans are invited to create a video for the live version of “Killed By Death.”

Creativity is greatly encouraged (don’t be boring!) and the production can be as mighty or modest as the imagination desires. Let the thunderous riff and wry lyrics conjure your best Motörvisions, and the video that wins will be premiered on major music video stations plus websites worldwide.

Eight Bells Streaming New Song “The Captain’s Daughter”

Cvlt Nation is currently hosting a stream of “The Captain’s Daughter,” a new track from Portland atmospheric sound exhibitionists Eight Bells. Check out the song right here.

The premiere comes in anticipation of the band’s forthcoming full-length of the same name, set for release on February 19th, 2013 via Seventh Rule Recordings. Engineered by sound mastermind Billy Anderson, “The Captain’s Daughter” features four organic soundscapes that oscillate seamlessly between tranquil and terrifying. The following press release was also issued about the band:

“Eight Bells features within its ranks SubArachnoid Space alumni Melynda Jackson and Christopher Van Huffel. A native of rural Texas now based in Portland, Oregon, Jackson’s Eight Bells continues in SAS’ tradition of heavy guitar exploration, adding a blackened dissonance to the mix and minimalist vocals. Jackson is accompanied by classically trained six-string bassist Haley Westeiner who created the centerpiece vocals on ‘Fate and Technology’ and also provides harmonic counterpoint to Jackson’s newly discovered vocalizations.

“Van Huffel resumes the throne he occupied for ten years, bringing his thunderous, nuanced double kick playing with him. With this power trio, Jackson has found a group that brings focus and support to her unapologetically expressionistic experimental metal music.”

Stormtroopers Of Death Members Form New Band United Forces

Subsequent to the demise of reunited NYC hardcore/speed metal legends Stormtroopers Of Death, two of the four members of the brutal faction have set out to forge a new path of punishment in 2013.

United Forces unites S.O.D.’s bassist Danny Lilker (Brutal Truth, Nuclear Assault, Nunfuckritual, Lock-Up,ex-Anthrax) and notorious frontman Billy Milano (Method Of Destruction) as the longtime cohorts take their mayhem to new turf. Milano and Lilker recruited two additional henchmen to help carry out their forthcoming disorder, with the thunderous Nick Barker (Lock-Up, Ancient, ex-Cradle of Filth, ex-Dimmu Borgir) on percussive duties, and Anton Reisenegger (Criminal, Pentagram Chile, Extreme Noise Terror, Lock Up) handling guitars.

With Lilker located in upstate New York, Milano in central Texas, Barker in England and Reisenegger in Spain, details on the outfit’s plans concerning touring or recording remain unknown, but United Forces is, without question, a pending force with which to be dealt.

Notes vocalist Billy Milano on the eclectic union of metal soldiers: “I’m not out to reinvent myself at my age. I just want to have a lot of fun with this. We called it United Forces because we’re located all over the place, in different countries, but this is something we’re going to come together for.”

Added four-string assaulter Danny Lilker: “It’s gonna be really fun to get together with some good friends — who are also great musicians — and play some earsplitting, hardcore-tinged thrash metal! And obviously, we know how to do just that.”

At this year’s installment of the Fun Fun Fun fest in Austin, Texas, modern thrash heavyweights Municipal Waste were joined by Lilker and Milano onstage to help unleash the S.O.D. staple “United Forces.” Check out the carnage below.
