The Man-Eating Tree Parts With Two Members, Working On New Album

The Man-Eating Tree just checked in with the following update about working on a new album and parting ways with two members:

“This Fall has been a harsh playground for emotions. As a result, there’s always some good things to come out of it, some less. We have started the writing process for new The Man-Eating material. We’re currently going through various new interesting ideas and making sure this new stuff will be something from the heart. Making new TMET-songs means full dedication and motivation.

“That being said, we are truly sad to see Antti Karhu (guitar and backing vocals) and Mikko Uusimaa (bass) leave The Man-Eating Tree. Unfortunately, with our plans as a band, it became impossible to match TMET with their personal life commitments elsewhere. Their decision to step aside is something we respect 100% and hope you respect too.

“They both played significant roles along the way and we´d like to thank them for all the good times and their contributions in making The Man-Eating Tree what it is today, We wish only the best for them both.

“Here’s the brand new video for the song ‘Death Parade.’ The video was filmed during the Unioni-tour last Spring with Finntroll and Wolfheart. The song is from the latest The Man-Eating Tree album ‘In The Absence Of Light.'”

Temple Of Baal Streaming New Track “Hosanna”

French black/death metal outfit Temple Of Baal is streaming new track “Hosanna” below, taken from the band’s upcoming fifth studio album, “Mysterium,” due out October 2 on Agonia Records. As the album’s title suggests, “Mysterium” dwells on the topics of spirituality and religiosity.

“From the opener, ‘Lord of Knowledge and Death,’ to the closing number, ‘All in Your Name,’ every inch of this record drips with it,” the band commented. “‘Mysterium’ can be seen as a collection of meditations and prayers over the mysteries of faith, directed towards the gods of the left hand path.”

The album covers a wide musical variety, from slower ritualistic parts, to furious blasts and thrashy riffs or the surprisingly melodic choirs of “Magna Gloria Tua” and “Hosanna,” each song taking the listener into a journey evolving through various climates, keeping the listener’s mind awake.

“I never got that much into monotonous, uniform albums,” said band leader Amduscias. “I like music to take my mind from one point to another. Even if I have a strict view of what Temple of Baal should be, stagnation is not something I’m very fond of.”

The “Mysterium” track listing is as follows:

1. Lord of Knowledge and Death
2. Magna Gloria Tua
3. Divine Scythe
4. Hosanna
5. Dictum Ignis
6. Black Redeeming Flame
7. Holy Art Thou
8. All in Your Name
9. The Golden Walls of Heaven (Bathory Cover, vinyl bonus track)

Kult Of Taurus Announces New Album “Adversarial Paths: The Sinister Essence”

Forever Plagued Records is proud to present the second album from Kult of Taurus, titled “Adversarial Paths: The Sinister Essence.” The label comments:

“Following on from 2013’s critically acclaimed ‘Divination Labyrinths’, Kult of Taurus’ latest ‘Adversarial Paths’ is likewise aptly titled: the Greek quintet continue to refine and reinvent their singular, Satanic path, with their journey taking them down myriad diabolical routes.

“The album zigzags across a wide swath of terrain, but always firmly within the lexicon of black metal; it’s constantly churning, twisting itself into new shapes, knowing full well where it wants to go but never revealing its secrets too easily. In many ways, with a vanguard approach to black metal that never strays into trite self-consciousness or knowing irony, but rather focuses on an individualistic and idiosyncratic approach to sonic Satanism, ‘Adversarial Paths: The Sinister Essence’ harks back to a lost era of ’90s Norwegian avant-garde BM like Fleurety, Ved Buens Ende, and Dodheimsgard, whose Vicotnik mixed and mastered this new album.

“Rounding out this total sensory experience is a molten ‘n’ muscular production – the band recorded the album at Behind The Sun Studios, Red House Studios, and Studio Unglamorous over the course of 2014 – and regal, portentous artwork sketched by Bile, with additional digital art design from S.I. for Incense Art.”

A statement from Kult of Taurus reads: “‘Adversarial Paths: The Sinister Essence’ shines as a monument to glorify and praise all aspects of the Adversary, known through the course of history by many names, while capturing HIS sinister essence through various spiritual incentives. To those who dare, hail Lucifer!”

1. Channeling Consciousness
2. Black Embrace
3. Edafio I
4. The Piercing Conjunctions Of the Sinister
5. Cordially Baneful
6. Through Lunar Wombs
7. Vibrating Crossroads
8. Arch Of Exceedance
