Technical Damage Premiere Full-Album Stream Of Brand New Album “The Introspect”

Vancouver BC-based progressive death metal band TECHNICAL DAMAGE have released its debut album The Introspect. Frontman Kurtis Jeffery shares his thoughts on the album:

“Trying to balance what is ultimately a multitude of different lives over the past year has drawn upon wells of creative and critical energy whose depths I had not fully realized until we sat down to write this record. The Introspect has everything – walls of sound, brutal death metal, reggae breakdowns, huge synthesizers – and it is a manifesto to the complicated nature of human beings and how we see ourselves. Even if you aren’t drawn to metal, there is something for everyone in this piece of art.”

MaYaN Posts New Video, “Dhyana” Online

MaYaN have released a video for the title track of their upcoming Dhyana album, out on September 21st via Nuclear Blast. Watch the clip below, and pre-order the album here.

Dhyana: the moment when the individual mind is absorbed by the heart and melts with the universal mind.

Through his musical contributions in Epica, After Forever and MaYaN, Mark Jansen has introduced another piece of knowledge, spirituality and mystery into the Dutch metal scene. For the third time since their inception in 2010, the now 10-piece symphonic death metal band has joined forces for a new album, and their latest opus Dhyana is set to lift them to an entirely new level.

Mastermind Mark Jansen states: “We have worked with all our energy, efforts and passion to create a remarkable album. “Dhyana” (which means the moment when the mind gets absorbed by the heart) makes us all very proud and we can’t wait for it to be released. With the support of our loyal fans worldwide we were able to record the album with the City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Because of this and also producer Joost van den Broek’s know-how and enormous motivational drive we were able to meet the high standards of the best productions of today. It’s needless to say that we are extremely excited!!!”

The concept of this third full-length release reflects on conceptual themes such as being self-aware of our thoughts and relinquishing our egos and self-conceited tendencies to finding out who we truly are.

Tracklisting:

1. The Rhythm Of Freedom
2. Tornado Of Thoughts – I Don’t Think Therefore I Am
3. Saints Don’t Die
4. Dhyana
5. Rebirth From Despair
6. The Power Process
7. The Illusory Self
8. Satori
9. Maya – The Veil Of Delusion
10. The Flaming Rage Of God

Greek Symphonic Dark Metal Outfit W.E.B. Sign With Alpha Omega Management

Alpha Omega Management is thrilled to announce the signing of the Greek Symphonic Dark Metallers W.E.B.

W.E.B. is a Dark / Black / Death / Goth Metal band based in the ashes of Athens – Greece. The Fall of 2002AD was the time that the idea of W.E.B. was born and started to take a lifeform shape from an embryonic state to a music challenge expressing darkness and death through adrenaline and poetry. An expression both straight but at the same time theatrical. W.E.B. is here to move you, provoke you, and invite you to the journey through ravendark starless nights with a fire made of Metal music. Their fourth album, “Tartarus” came out on November 10th (2017) via Apathia Records, which is probably the band’s most diverse album, so far! “Tartarus” focuses on a deeper inclusion of orchestrations, making it sound more epic, while keeping the band’s very own Dark Metal genre. The album also features a noticeable guest apparition by Sotiris Vayenas (Septic Flesh) on the ninth track “Thanatos Part I – Golgotha”.

Stated W.E.B.:

“We have reached the point of our journey that we are ready to take one step ahead. The cooporation of W.E.B. with Alpha Omega Management will bring us closer to our achievments and closer to the best people out there, that is our fans.”

Alpha Omega Management adds:

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome W.E.B. to our roster family! These guys are Epic, their music captures you with their theatrical dark poetry, brainstorming your thoughts to a new level, like a morbid and disturbing nightmare, but at the same time like a form of therapy. W.E.B. it’s definitely an obscure journey to an invisible world right next to us. Take your seat and enjoy the ride!”

Pestilence: Cover Artwork For “Hadeon” Cancelled Due To Copyright Infringement

Pestilence and Hammerheart Records just issued the following announcement, concerning the artwork for the band’s upcoming new release “Hadeon”:

“Last week we proudly presented the artwork for “Hadeon”, the new album by legendary Death Metal band Pestilence.
This, in itself, fantastic artwork was created by Triple Seis, a company specialized in artwork for Metal bands (they did many artwork related things before we contacted them) based in Ecuador.
In the past months Patrick Mameli shared his thoughts on what “Hadeon” needed to look like when put into art, and Triple Seis created it.
Hammerheart Records made a contract and paid a pretty decent amount of money to become the owner of this artwork, so we could use it for all releases and products we wanted to use it on/for.
We were very pleased on how this turned out…
Then…
Upon its publication we started to receive messages that several parts of this artwork were stolen and copied into this design.

The messages were not merely rumours, but they were true…
We were shocked when we were shown how obviously and without shame this was done, we were left in disbelief.
Both Hammerheart Records and Pestilence had never experienced anything like this before, and we find it totally objectionable.
We hereby declare that we have to cancel this artwork, we sincerely apologize to all the people/companies whose artwork was used without permission.
We did not know this and we would never ever support this.
We like to make it 100% clear that we do not support any of these “work” ethics done by Triple Seis and have returned the artwork to them in full and we will remove all announcements and links related to this artwork to the best of our abilities.
Needless to say that this effects our hard work, we are not finished yet for a release of “Hadeon”.
We need to switch to solving this problem.
“Hadeon” will see the light of day, the release date is still March 2018.
We will not give in and continue our journey to World Domination in 2018.
We find great consolation in the support of the Pestilence-legions supporting us worldwide , thanks a lot !!!
As soon as we have the new artwork to show we will make an announcement.

Triptykon/Former Celtic Frost Frontman Tom Warrior Comments On Martin Ain’s Death

Following the news earlier today that former Hellhammer and Celtic Frost bass player Martin Eric Ain has died at the age of fifty, his former bandmate Tom G. Fischer (AKA Tom Warrior,) has posted his thoughts online via his blog.

“I am deeply affected by Martin Eric Ain’s passing. Our relationship was very complex and definitely not free of conflicts, but Martin’s life and mine were very closely intertwined, since we first met in 1982. My life will be painfully incomplete without his existence.

“Today, when Reed and I talked about Martin’s death on the phone, Reed said to me: “Now, there’s only the two of us.” It completely broke my heart.”
