Metallica’s Own Music Is Employed In The Maturation Process For Their New Whiskey ‘Blackened’

Metallica will release their own official whiskey, “Blackened”. The band collaborated with master distiller Dave Pickerell on the 90 proof spirit. The group’s own music is employed to ‘activate’ the whiskey while it matures within black brandy casks. A specially designed subwoofer bombards the whiskey during this process to increase the wood-flavor interaction.

An initial launch is scheduled in select markets of the U.S. with a mid-September release being planned. You can pre-order now “Blackened” HERE .
