Earlier this year, South African slam lords Displeased Disfigurement released their sophomore effort, ‘Origin Of Abhorrence’ on CDN Records. Dead By Wednesday Re-Releasing Album, Announces Tour With Raven

New Haven based metal group Dead By Wednesday has announced the re-release of debut album “Democracy is Dead.” Comments the band:

“In honor of Record Store Day 2017′ Mindsnap Music will be re-releasing Dead By Wednesday’s very 1st / debut CD ‘Democracy is Dead,’ which came out in 2006 on Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed’s Stillborn Records label.

“It features the original line up including the dual singer brothers & my cousins David & Ceschi Ramos. It is different then what the band is like now musically & doesn’t represent their current sound but it’s still a very unique & stellar piece of the band’s history in its own right that everyone should own & at least check out.”

Ne Obliviscaris Re-Releasing Sold Out EPs Via Patreon Campaign

Australian progressive metal outfit Ne Obliviscaris has announced the re-release of long sold out EPs “Sarabande to Nihil” and “Hiraeth” via the band’s Patreon campaign. The band are offering the EPs exclusively via the “Ne Obluminati” fan club program here.

These out of print EPs feature re-recorded tracks from the band’s early years and the “Portal of I” era. These initially sold out in 2014 and have been out of print ever since.

There are no plans to release these in any other format, so participating in this pledge drive is the only chance to hear these very special recordings.

Powerwolf Releasing “Blessed & Possessed” Tour Edition

Founded in 2003, the German power metal werewolves from Powerwolf have released six albums thus far, the last of which made it to the top of the charts. “Blessed & Possessed” hit the official German album charts at #3 and live DVD “The Metal Mass – Live” hit number #1.

Now the band has unveiled the re-release of 2015 album “Blessed & Possessed,” which will be coming out as an opulent tour edition on January 6th, 2017. This new version will be available as a 2-CD digipak with a brand new cover artwork and including a special bonus live CD of a headlining performance in front of 40,000 celebrating fans at Summer Breeze festival 2015.

Pre-orders for the “Blessed & Possessed” tour edition are now online here. Exclusively available through Napalm Records & EMP, “Preaching At The Summer Breeze” will also be available as a standalone digipak CD.

Recordings For New Self-Titled Album Completed By Ctulu

German extreme metal act Ctulu has finished the recordings of the brand new longplayer “Ctulu.” The album is slotted for a late fall release via MDD Records.

The self titled album was recorded and produced in Soundlodge Studio by Jörg Uken (Dew Scented, God Dethroned, Krisiun). After the re-release of “Sarkomand” earlier this year, the fourth studio release will will contain 8 new, sea storming extreme metal tracks. Be prepared!

Depressive suicidal black metal sensation Ghost Bath has released a visualizer for the song “Ascension” – check it out below.

This bonus track is taken from the re-release of “Moonlover,” which is now available digitally worldwide via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Ghost Bath will also headline the Shadow Woods Metal Fest in White Hall, MD on September 15th.

Demigod Re-Releasing “Slumber of Sullen Eyes” Album

Demigod’s “Slumber of Sullen Eyes” is due for a re-release on March 18th, 2016. 23 years after the release of the Finnish death metal band’s debut album, “Slumber of Sullen Eyes” is on the way again to record stores.

This new edition is coming in cooperation between MDD and Xtreem Music under the banner of “Xtreem Cult Series.” In addition to the original tracks, the re-release features the “Unholy Domain” demo from back in ’91.

Drowning Pool Raising Money For Heart Disease Research

Drowning Pool just wrapped up a string of tour dates celebrating the re-release of the “Sinner” album, and now the band is raising money for heart disease research. The group had this to say:
