Orange Goblin Posts New Album Update, Reveals Potential New Song Titles

British heavy metal veterans Orange Goblin has posted a message online updating fans on the progress of their as-yet untitled new studio album, including some working titles for new songs. The message reads as follows:

“We have been very busy in the studio writing new material and now have about 6 songs almost finished and another 2 or 3 skeletons of songs that we are still working on! Can’t wait to unleash these riffs upon the world. Some current working titles for songs include ‘Sons Of Salem’, ‘The Wolf Bites Back’, ‘Swords Of Fire’, ‘Ghosts Of The Primitives’ and ‘An Exercise In Blasphemy’.

“Recording starts in January and the album should be out by the end of May 2018”

Video Update On New Dust Bolt Available, New Album Targeted For Summer Release

German thrash act Dust Bolt posted a video announcement about plans for the upcoming third album. The band will enter the studio this month to begin recording the release, with a July release month targeted.

Updates on the progress and information on the new album will begin to come to light over the next several months.

Video Studio Update Posted By Astral Doors

Swedish metal act Astral Doors, featuring vocalist Nils Patrik Johansson (Civil War/Lion’s Share/Wuthering Heights) posted another video studio update on the progress of the band’s upcoming seventh studio release and follow up to the 2011 release Jerusalem (see review here). The album is tentatively set for an autumn 2014 release.

In this installment, Johansson talks about the lyrics of the album, on which he states there will be “no political crap, just pure evil, pure metal.” He introduces the new track “Wailing Wall.” Check it out here:

Snovonne Shooting New “Snowhite” Music Video

Snovonne has checked in with the following announcement about working on a new music video off the “Nightmare Bride” album:

“Announcing a very SPECIAL kind of endorsement! Snovonne is now in cooperation with The Electrotherapy Musuem. Her and the museum’s owner Jeff Behary, who collects, restores and builds high voltage machines and medical equipment (dating back to the 20’s) are now preparing to film a new ‘Nightmare Bride’ video: ‘Snowhite.’ More info on the progress and on the madman Behary himself coming to you soon!”

Dark Moor To Enter Studio In January, Spring 2013 Release

Spanish metal act Dark Moor, who has been silent of late, announced that the band will enter the studio in January to record the follow up to the 2010 album “Ancestral Romance.” The album is tentatively slated for a Spring 2013 release. The following was posted on the band’s Official Facebook Page:

“A new album will be out in 2013 Hi folks! Dark Moor will enter in New Sin Studios in January next year, the band is currently working on a new album which will be released in Spring of 2013. About the progress of the new album, we will keep you updated on our official website and facebook. A big hug from the whole band for everyone!”

Dead Shape Figure Posts Chinese Tour Footage

Dead Shape Figure has posted a video report online featuring clips of the band’s time in China last month, which can be viewed below. The band also commented on the progress of a new album:

“Okay some major news: Our third-yet-untitled-album is not gonna be out during this year… It has not yet been mixed and the deadline is now till the end of next month. It’s kind of sad cause we really really wanted the album to be out before we go on tour with Iced Earth, Evergrey, and Steel Engraved on December but no can do. We are definitely gonna release some stuff during December but the actual album will be out later next year…”

ReVamp To Beging Recording New LP In December, Release Spring 2013

ReVamp frontwoman Floor Jansen posted a video update on the progress of the band’s second album. In the video (seen below), Jansen explains the songwriting styles and that the band intend to enter the studio in December with a target for release in Spring 2013.

The band began writing the sophomore effort in May after Jansen recovered from burnout. Jansen is scheduled to perform at ProgPower USA in Atlanta on September 15, 2012 as a guest vocalist for MaYaN.

Malfeitor Comments On Artwork For New Album "Dum Morior Orior"

Sweden’s Malfeitor has issued the following announcement about the artwork for the band’s upcoming “Dum Morior Orior” album:

Syrach Recording Drums For Upcoming Fourth Album

Norwegian band Syrach has checked in with the following update about recording drums for the act’s fourth album:

“We’ll be making the drum tracks for our 4th album this weekend. Yes, to be in studio while Immortal, Mayhem, Ghost and Primordial are playing in our hometown is interesting “planning” to say the least… But, we all have to make priotities in life 😉
