Australian one-man band NEKRASOV continues to orbit between the two poles of power electronics and black metal…

NEKRASOV is reminiscent of some unhallowed Lovecraftian vault, where the dreamer meets his dream: the abyss of mind and space alike, where he compositionally depicts the hinges in the deep recesses of the mind, that only a visionary can uncover. Once revealed, it?s up to the listener on whether he or she can handle the outcome. […]

Khost Streaming New “Governance” Album

“Governance” from Birmingham, UK-based industrial metal duo Khost is now available through Cold Spring Records and can be heard below.. The label comments:

“Khost’s ‘Governance’ is like driving at night with your spirituality asleep at the wheel. Continuing the band’s immersion in themes of detachment and dissonance, the album was written and recorded during the Winter of 2016-17, a time of great unease and sickness for the band which nearly resulted in the death of one member.

“A hinterland of low resolution transmissions interspersed with broad concrete columns of distortion that loom suddenly from the dim landscape which devastates the listener with nearly fifty minutes of entrancing yet hazardous tectonic doom-laced revulsion.”

Terrifier Post New Song “Reanimator”

Vancouver thrash outfit Terrifier recently signed to Test Your Metal Records and will be releasing second album “Weapons of Thrash Destruction” on January 20th, 2017. The nine-track mosher follows 2013 EP “Metal or Death” and 2012 full-length release “Destroyers of the Faith.”

“‘Reanimator’ is the second track we wrote for our up and coming album ‘Weapons of Thrash Destruction.’ It’s based on the classic horror movie Re-animator. The song takes the listener further into our evolving sound to give them a bludgeoning assault from the first note to the last.”

Jibe Releases “The Human Condition” Lyric Video

Dallas, Texas group Jibe has returned from a long hiatus with a lyric video for the title track off upcoming LP, “The Human Condition.”

Produced by Matt Noveskey and mixed by Grammy award winning producer/engineer Toby Wright at Orb Recording Studios in Austin, TX, the record features ten rocking tracks that take the listener on an uncertain voyage of all-encompassing highs… and self-indulgent lows. “The Human Condition” reflects the seemingly endless struggle we face as Mother-Earth’s most dominant species.

Jibe comments: “‘The Human Condition’ birthed itself through the trials and tribulations of everyday life. The endless pursuit of that time and place, the proverbial Goldilocks zone, that sweet spot where life and everything that encompasses finally aligns and sets us free.”

Maladie Announces “Symptoms” EP Release

Following the 2015 album “Still,” Maladie has a new EP titled “Symptoms” that will drop on December 2nd via Apostasy Records. The label comments:

“Its running-time of nearly 42 minutes and the fact that there’s only one song on it doesn’t really correlate with the expectations on this format. The contained song ‘Divinitas – A Journey’ also crushes conventions with its combination of unleashed extreme metal fury, mellow passages with pianos, saxophones, oboes and strings as well as polyphonic vocals and choirs. Their musical journey never unveils the next step to the listener which is perfectly shown on the atmospheric artwork (once again created by Remy of Headsplit Design).”
