Cliterati Debut New NSFW Video For “Burn” From Self-Titled EP

Cliterati – the Portland, Oregon-grown hardcore unit featuring Poison Idea, Voetsek, and Murderess alumni – is pleased to unveil the visual accompaniment to “Burn,” taken from their self-titled EP. For the “colorful” clip, Cliterati teamed up with Sign Of The Beast Burlesque for the film short Pizza Sluts as part of the Metalesque Fest, the world’s first and only festival dedicated to heavy metal and burlesque.

Watch “Burn” now below.

Cliterati’s self-titled EP was initially released via Tankcrimes digitally before making its way to seven-inch vinyl earlier this year. Cliterati was recorded and mixed by Andrew Grosse, mastered by Jose DeLara at Caravan Studios and remastered for vinyl for maximum bad assery by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound.

Necrot Releasing “Blood Offerings” Album

This June, Oakland, California-based classic death metal band Necrot will unleash the fetid fruits of the “Blood Offerings” full-length album.

Set for release on June 9th, 2017 on CD, LP, and digitally via Tankcrimes (and on cassette in partnership with Sentient Ruin Laboratories), the eight tracks comprising “Blood Offerings” were captured by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer (Vastum, Graves At Sea), mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Nails, Gatecreeper), and will come sheathed in the unholy cover craftings of Marald Van Haasteren (Bolt Thrower, Baroness).

“‘Blood Offerings’ is the result of six years of hard work and is our first full-length record to be released by Tankcrimes,” relays drummer Chad Gailey. “The songwriting and performance on these eight songs is a step up from what people have heard previously. We feel that with this album, we have accomplished what we intended to create many years ago. It is always a great experience working with Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer and Scotty Heath at Tankcrimes because of the hard work and care they both put into each project they are a part of. We are thankful to everyone who has supported Necrot to get to this point.”

Guitarist Sonny Reinhardt agrees, “We made the best album ever made and can’t wait to hit the road and kill you all.” Adds guitarist Luca Indrio, “This is a death metal classic and you should fucking have it!”

Cliterati Hitting The Road For Spring Tour

Portland’s hardcore punk brutalizers from Cliterati – featuring within its riotous ranks Poison Idea, Voetsek, and Murderess alumni – released a self-titled EP via Tankcrimes late last year. The five-track bruiser, which was recorded and mixed by Andrew Grosse and mastered by Jose DeLara at Caravan Studios on their home turf in Oregon, will now see release on seven-inch via Tankcrimes on April 7th.

“Cliterati is a band who believe in equality through inclusion. We are queer, straight, people of color, and white,” relays screamer Ami Lawless. “Our influences include the bands Doom, L7, and Bolt Thrower with a healthy dose of Pacific Northwest D-punk. This band was brought together by Amelia Collins and we continue in loving memory of her vision to bring a breath of fresh air to Portland punk. These five rippers are the result of spending many hours in a dark dank Portland basement while smoking copious amounts of weed. Hopefully these songs will make you wanna get your clit in the pit. The positive responses at our live shows has been off the hook.”

Cliterati will take these d-beats to the streets later this week for a short run of West Coast dates, including performances with Swedish hardcore punk miscreants DS-13, and with additional live abrasions in the plotting stages.

Deny The Cross Releasing “Alpha Ghoul” Album

Powerviolence collaboration Deny The Cross joins current and past members of Spazz, Black Army Jacket, Agents Of Satan, Municipal Waste, and Discordance Axis.

The project will release vicious eighteen-track debut, “Alpha Ghoul,” this summer via Tankcrimes Records. Paying its respects to the likes of Assück, Napalm Death, Raw Deal, Crossed Out and Gauze, new album “Alpha Ghoul” is appropriately short, fast and loud.

Guitar, bass, and vocal tracks were captured by Greg Wilkinson (Pallbearer, Vastum) at Earhammer Studios in California with drums recorded by Chris Pierce (Rorschach, Night Birds) at his studio in New Jersey.

“The inspiration behind getting this band going was simple,” relays vocalist Carlos Ramirez. “We wanted to write songs that sounded like early to mid-’90s powerviolence and grind, mixed with some NYHC and crossover influence. Since we’ve all known each other for decades now, we knew we could all get on the same page in terms of the writing of this record. The concept of the ‘Alpha Ghoul’ is someone who sucks out the energy of everything, and everyone, around them, and never giving anything back in return. We all know a few of these types of human leeches. Scotty Heath has built such an inspiring label with Tankcrimes, and being part of that history is truly an honor.”

The “Alpha Ghoul” album, which includes cover art by Mark McCoy of Charles Bronson, will be unleashed via Tankcrimes on July 29th, 2016 digitally and on vinyl with the first pressing limited to just 100 copies.
