Necroart Signs Deal With The Goatmancer Records

Italian avantgarde metal crew Necroart just inked a deal with The Goatmancer Records for the release of an upcoming album. The label comments:

“Formed in 1999 and after releasing three demos and three critically acclaimed full-length albums, Necroart are now back! They are ready to start recording the new album to be released early 2018. More details to be revealed soon.

“Born and grown up taking influences from the 90’s extreme metal sonorities (Moonspell and the early Swedish Death Metal scene), the band renewed its sound focusing on a more progressive yet extreme approach in the vein of Arcturus and Schammasch, starting a new journey into obscure territories and esoteric themes.”

Subterranean Masquerade Posts “Nomad” Lyric Video

Six weeks prior to releasing upcoming album “Vagabond,” Israeli / Norwegian prog metal band Subterranean Masquerade releases the lyric video for new single “Nomad,” which is the second track of the upcoming opus.

Tomer Pink (guitars) comments: “‘Nomad’ is one of the earliest tracks written for ‘Vagabond.’ It’s heavy, progressive, mixing all the elements from which this album is made of and kicks ass live 😉 The lyrics tell the story of visiting a far away place, trying to run away from inside demons until eventually facing them.”

The lyric video was created with the talent of Rafael Ortega. With the band now signed to the Swedish label Vicisolum Records for a two album deal, “Vagabond” is set for release on September 1st.

Subterranean Masquerade features members of Orphaned Land and Green Carnation, mixing prog rock with psychedelic 70’s sounds and full force death metal. The album was mixed by Christer Andre Cederberg (Anathema, Tristania, etc.) and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios. The artwork was created by Ben Danzig and Travis Smith.

Honeymoon Disease Announces New Album “Part Human, Mostly Beast”

Honeymoon Disease will unleash new album “Part Human, Mostly Beast” on the 27th of October via The Sign Records. The Swedish rock quartet’s second album is filled with high voltage pulse, colorful sounds and lots of groovy soul.

The band worked with producer Ola Ersfjord (Imperial State Electric, Primordial, Tribulation, Dead Lord) since the recording of last album “The Transcendence “(Napalm Records), which led up to a recording session with better crafted songs, a more luxurious production and a lot of focus on the vocal arrangements.

During the pre-production, the band and producer Ola Ersfjord found a mutual interest in old soul records. This interest paved the way for a recording session with a focus on strong vocal arrangements with more chorus and soul. Check out first single “Electric Eel” below. The full track listing is as follows:

1. Doin’ it Again
2. Only Thing Alive
3. Tail Twister

Sun Of The Sleepless Premieres New Song “The Owl” From Upcoming New Album “To the Elements”

Black metal unit Sun Of The Sleepless premieres a new song entitled “The Owl”, taken from the upcoming new album “To the Elements”, which will be released by Prophecy Productions in a variety of formats: as a digipak CD (with a 12-page booklet), a gatefold LP (on both black and limited silver vinyl), and as a collector’s 2xCD box (which includes the digipak CD, the out-of-print 1999 MCD Poems To The Wretches Hearts in a cardsleeve, a patch, and an autographed, hand-numbered certificate in a hotfoil-embossed box).

Check out now “The Owl” below.

Explains Sun Of The Sleepless:

“‘The Owl‘ is actually the first song that was written and recorded for the album. The verse riff/main theme of this song was the spark that lit the fire, so to speak. This was also the first song I recorded the drums for and it made me realize that Black Metal drumming is even more exhausting than I remembered it to be from — wait…18 years ago. ‘The Owl‘ is a hymn to the nocturnal self. The Owl as a symbol for individuality (in German we use the word “Kauz” — tawny owl — to describe a pariah) but also wisdom, superiority — the unrelenting spirit of the night. Musically, I really wanted to have this ‘lonesome nighttime atmosphere’ to be the absolute focus of this song. It draws elements from Empyrium (how come?), old The 3rd and the Mortal, Emperor and influences by some of the more melodic Swedish Black Metal Bands too. One of my favorites for sure. Sublime, free, forever at night — The Owl”
