Candlemass Posts New Lyric Video, “House Of Doom” Online

The Swedish pioneers of timeless slowness, Candlemass, are back in top form, distilling the essence of epic doom metal!

It only takes a few short bars of the title track “House Of Doom” to feel that familiar sensation again: yes, Leif Edling aka the undisputed king of minor key songwriting has returned. With him, he brings frenzied riffing, melancholy made sound and warm Hammond organ tapestries that form the pillars of every Candlemass classic! You can check out the video for the title track below.

Mats Levén on the EP:

“We in Candlemass are proud to present 4 new songs to the world on thenew EP ’House of Doom’! The title track is inspired by the House of Doom game from Hyperfrost. We’re also very happy that our label Napalm Records are with us all the way – 2018 will be a big year for Candlemass!”

The Swedish pioneers of doom managed once again to distill the essence of epic doom metal – and at the same time they make waiting for the next long player (to be released in fall 2018) even harder…

Grimner Posts New Video, “Dödens Dans” Online

Following their recent successful raid on the UK, including a triumphant appearance at Hammerfest, Swedish Viking horders Grimner has released a video for their latest single, “Dödens Dans.” You can check it out below. Speaking about the video, the band stated:

“Brothers and sisters! Today we want to present a song to you from our latest album ‘Vanadrottning’. It is called ‘Dödens Dans’ (Dance of Death), and it tells of an old challenge, in Sweden called ‘holmgång’. In ancient Nordic times, it was a way to solve disputes, and this solution was simply single combat. The winner would have the right to whatever he may have wanted from the loser, but if this challenge was ever denied by somebody, they would be marked as a niding (outcast). It is a fast-paced and energetic song, filled with melodies of old.

“Enjoy, friends. And if you already have, enjoy it again!”

KATAKLYSM And HYPOCRISY Announce Death… Is Just The Beginning European Co-Headline Tour
Montréal based melodic death metallers Kataklysm have announced that they will be teaming up with Swedish death metal legends Hypocrisy for a European co-headline tour.

The tour’s special name traces back to Nuclear Blast’s popular sampler series and promises nothing but evenings of moshpits and endless devastation. Don’t miss out on this outstanding tour and secure your tickets now.

Kataklysm’s Maurizio Iacono states: “It’s been in talks for over two years and finally both Kataklysm and our brothers in Hypocrisy can make the schedule work to join forces once more. It’s been almost 15 years since we toured together and the last time we did the tours became instant classics. It‘s that time again folks… Kataklysm & Hypocrisy team up once more for a world tour beginning with Europe this fall. To make things even greater our record label Nuclear Blast has come on board and baptized the tour Death… Is Just The Beginning, a homage to the old classic compilations that made so many fans discover both bands back in the day. This will mark the return of this classic compilation with this tour and maybe give other artists the chance to get discovered like we did. DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR, YOU ONLY GET ONE CHANCE!”

Hypocrisy’s Peter Tägtgren adds: “I hope that you are just as excited as we are, because we are very happy to announce that we are finally warming up the Hypocrisy engine again and that we will be back on the road in fall! We will be touring Europe together with our friends in Kataklysm! The tour will be an overview of the chaos and confusion created by Hypocrisy over the years. See you out there!”
