Svart Crown Inks Deal With Century Media

Century Media Records is very proud to announce the worldwide signing of French death/black metal band Svart Crown. The label had this to say:

“Svart Crown’s previously released albums ‘Ages Of Decay’ (2008), ‘Witnessing The Fall’ (2010) and especially ‘Profane’ (2013) have gained the band a lot of attention as being one of the most interesting and most diverse extreme metal bands rising from the French scene. Impressive musicianship, intricate song-writing and excellent live shows solidified Svart Crown’s reputation as trailblazers of a new breed of blackened death metal.”

Vocalist and guitarist JB Le Bail further comments: “We are really proud to announce our signature with Century Media Records. It’s been a very logical next step for us to go with a worldwide structure. Century Media has a strong foundation and remains one of the top leaders in the extreme music industry. This is a big statement about the band’s ambition and we can say now we have found the best partner to achieve our goal.

“We would like to thank Laurent, Steffie and Alex and Listenable Records, for all the dedicated work they’ve done for us during the past 6 years. The future looks bright, and we are really impatient to unleash our most ambitious effort so far. Be aware!”

Svart Crown’s yet-untitled fourth album will see its worldwide release on March 3rd, 2017. Expect nothing less than a blasphemous and wicked piece of death/black metal art.

Decline Of The I Streaming Full “Rebellion” Album

Experimental post-black metal band Decline Of The I has teamed up with VS Webzine to launch an advance stream of new album “Rebellion” (due out on February 27th in Europe and March 10th in North America via Agonia Records). Listen to the full album at this location.

Band eader A.K. commented: “With this album, I wanted to express something more twisted and violant than the first one, but in a personnal way. I’m kind of sick of hearing all these bands that copy each others over and over… It’s so pointless. It’s obvious that more and more people are trying to follow a trend in order to exist somehow… With Decline of the I, you can be sure that you deal with my own neurosis, my own way of expressing my guts… I know it doesn’t “speak” to everyone’s ears. But I surely know that my art can really be intimate with ears that know how to listen. Eyes to see, ears to hear.”

“Rebellion” was recorded in Studio de Chine with Khatchik Hovikian (L’odeur du Tchaman), while Xort (Seth, Alcest, Vorkreist, Anorexia Nervosa) took care of the mastering. Layout and artwork were created by the French photographer and filmmaker David Fitt (Aosoth, Secrets of the Moon, Svart Crown). “Rebellion” includes a guest appearance by Olivier from Eros Necrospique. The track listing is:

1. Lower degree of God’s might
2. Hexenface
3. Le rouge, le vide et le tordu
4. The end of prostration
5. Pieces of a drowned motion
6. Deus Sive Musica
7. On est bien peu de chose
