Clutch Officially Premiere New Song “How To Shake Hands”

Clutch premiere their new track “How To Shake Hands“ streaming below. The band’s press release offers:

“Clutch’s song ‘How to Shake Hands‘ traces its lineage back to Ry Cooder and John Lee Hooker via the song ‘John Lee Hooker for President‘. In that song Ry Cooder impersonates JLH giving a stump speech on what will happen when he becomes President. Clutch’s original idea of covering the Ry Cooder song was soon abandoned as Neil Fallon said he couldn’t do the song justice. Instead, Neil put his own lyrics in the style of Ry Cooder/JLH to a new Clutch song which ended up becoming the fast-paced ‘How to Shake Hands‘.”

Exalter Premieres New Song “The Dreaded End” From Upcoming New Album “Persecution Automated”

Bangladesh’s thrash metal band, Exalter has surfaced late this year to give us a brand new full length packed with its trademark style of old school thrash. Carrying on in the style that they cemented on their infamous ‘Obituary for the Living’ release, now completely sold out, they’ve worked on their structuring some more and give us an equally enjoyable and even more memorable album in ‘Persecution Automated’. With its infallible foundation in Teutonic and in parts even early Canadian thrash metal sound, Exalter are poised to become one of the strongest contenders for Asia’s burgeoning thrash metal scene.

You can check out another new track called “The Dreaded End” below.

Mother Feather launches lyric video for “Trampoline” – track set to be aired during ‘Shameless’ season premiere this weekend!

– November 4th, 2017 –

Currently finishing work on their sophomore album with Grammy-nominated producer Joshua Valleau (Kanye West, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Common, Imani Coppola, Alice Smith), Mother Feather has launched a new lyric video for the track “Trampoline”, which can be viewed at: youtube.com/watch?v=L46R-gAzI7w

The lyric video was created by King Z (Dylan Bowman), a young artist Mother Feather‘s Ann Courtney met fortuitously at one of the band’s live shows in Brooklyn a couple years ago. “He made quite a first impression on me,” says Courtney. “It was his first NYC rock show ever and he was totally wild-eyed afterwards, a fireball of pure enthusiasm. I liked him right away. Dylan made the move to Brooklyn to attend art school at Pratt shortly thereafter and I’ve become a big fan of spectacularly psychedelic style, which is on full display in his webseries, ‘King Z.’ I was thrilled when he agreed to collaborate and lend his style to a lyric video for ‘Trampoline.’”

“Trampoline” will also be aired during the season premiere of Showtime’s Shameless, on November 5th at 9PM ET/PT. For more information about Shameless, please visit: http://www.sho.com/shameless

Mother Feather will release their upcoming album in 2018 via Metal Blade Records. “The newest songs for the album were written last fall and winter in the midst and aftermath of the US presidential election,” Courtney comments. “The political climate and outcome were personally devastating, but it also re-ignited my sense of purpose. I locked myself away to write, face my depression, and stare down some uncomfortable feelings. Truthfully, I went to some very dark and lonely places. So there’s a lot of fever – and intimacy – in the new music. When I emerged from my self-exile, I discovered my band waiting for me on the other side, so there’s exuberance and catharsis there too. It’s good to have friends, ya know?! Together, we worked to develop the songs and shape them into some of Mother Feather‘s best, most eclectic work yet. We couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity to continue our work with Metal Blade.”

Mother Feather released their self-titled album last year via Metal Blade Records; for their efforts, the group has garnered massive buzz for their unique brand of rock, vibrant Bowie-esque costumes and makeup, and enthralling live show. Having been featured on IFC.com, TeamCoco.com, and HuffingtonPost.com (who declared them as “a great New York City band in the tradition of Great New York City Bands”), Mother Feather was also named “new band of the week” by Metal Hammer, and has received much play on Daniel P. Carter’s Rock Show on BBC Radio 1. To preview and purchase Mother Feather, please visit: metalblade.com/motherfeather

Sliptrick Records Welcomes Sacro Ordine Dei Cavalieri di Parsifal

Italian metal act Sacro Ordine dei Cavalieri di Parsifal (Sacred Order of Parsifal’s knights) has signed on with Sliptrick Records for the band’s debut full length studio album “Heavy Metal Thunderpicking.” Details of the album will be revealed soon.

Sacro Ordine dei Cavalleri di Parsifal was born in north Italy in the province of Gorizia in 2001 from an idea of two longtime friends: Paolo Fumis (vocals) and Carlo Venuti (guitar). The group’s sound is an epic, evocative, but at the same time, powerful and solid heavy metal in the style of old school bands such as early Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Manowar and Candlemass.

10 years on from the first demo “Sacro Ordine” in 2005, the band made a comeback of sorts in 2015 with a live CD (“Live 2015”), which was a mixture of old glories and brand new metal hymns. In 2016, the band started to record it’s first full length studio album, “Heavy Metal Thunderpicking.” The album containing eight tracks of classic heavy metal which will soon be unleashed!

Debut EP “Pillars” Announced By Apologoethia

Today, Invictus Productions set November 24th as the international release date for Apologoethia’s highly anticipated debut mini-album, “Pillars.”

Apologoethia was spawned way back in 2012 as a side-project of J.B. in order to develop some ideas that didn’t fit both musical and stylistically with his main band, Spain’s Graveyard. After an intense period of composition, the style that now exists as Apologoethia was born. Sometime in 2014, J.B. asked J.F. to lay down some drum patterns that would fit with the riffs, the tempos, and complement the overall feel, atmosphere, and vibe that the songs needed and demanded. With all the material already prepared, shaped, and sharpened, it was time to develop the conceptual side of the band, creating some lyrics that would fit with Apologoethia’s atmosphere and dark ‘n’ macabre approach. After a meticulous search, L.O. was brought into the band, knowing that his writing and conceptual skills would work perfectly with the band’s aesthetics and purposes.

Alas, what results is a hysteric-yet-nuanced plunge into the realms of madness. Exploring the dark side of human knowledge, an introspection through different cultural, ascetic, and religious approaches mankind explored throughout centuries past, Apologoethia here construct ceaselessly roiling monoliths of diabolical metal mania. Comprised of four equally treacherous labyrinths/songs, Pillars unfurls its mysteries with a perversely restless ease, pitching headlong from lumbering doom chunder into frothing, ferocious South American-styled chaos and often back again (or in reverse, or both), all of it betraying a boundless vision heeding the darkest energies coursing through heavy metal. Within, stretches of clean-toned tension crop up, deliriously setting the stage for further onslaught to commence.

Rounded out by rich ‘n’ robust production, Pillars marks a none-more-auspicious debut for a name that shall soon be spoken of far and wide: behold the birth of Apologoethia. The first Pillar to be revealed is “De Aeterno Praesentia,” which can be heard in the player below.

The cover and track listing are as follows:

1. Pillar I (De Fundamenta Spiritus)
2. Pillar II (De Humanae Natura)
3. Pillar III (De Absentiae Vitae)
4. Pillar IV (De Aeterno Praesentia)

Check out “Pillar IV (De Aeterno Praesentia)” here:
