“We’re very sorry for playing less than half a setlist but as you can see from the video below, conditions during our show were really dangerous. Therefore we wish to extend our thanks to Rene and the whole festival organization, these guys are professional and are not the ones to blame.

“A special thanks to all you Dutch sick metalheads, it was challenging but worthy. No need to say, we will come back!”

Valborg Announces “Romantik” Album

Germany’s dark, primitive metal trio Valborg will unleash a fifth full-length opus via Temple Of Torturous.

Titled “Romantik,” the follow-up to 2012’s “Nekrodepression,” features six tracks of somber avant-blackened beauty. After four albums based around experimental, skull-crushing doom, with “Romantik” Valborg dives deeper into the heart-tearing atmospheres of the abyss. Ambient synthesizers collide with wistful guitars, all slowly, purposefully floating above a foundation built upon pummeling rhythms and the band’s harsh, German vocal inflections.

Valborg features current and former members of Owl, Klabautamann, Woburn House, Gruenewald, and more. “Romantik” was produced, recorded, and mixed by Oliver Weiskopf at Stonehenge Studios, mastered by Michael Schwabe at Monoposto Mastering, and will be released on CD and digitally on May 19th, 2015 via Temple Of Torturous.
