Distant Landscape Posts “The Desire” Lyric Video

Distant Landscape just released a lyric video for “The Desire,” taken from the “Insights” album due for release on May 23rd via Sliptrick Records. The clip was created by Adhiira Art and can be seen in the player below, with Sliptrick Records commenting:

“It’s a beautiful, melodic, sweeping track full of discordant guitar, layered vocals and simple harmony. The ever-moving images within the video represent distorted memories and the rushing of time. While outside everything changes, inside ‘the desire is still the same.'”

The Devil Wears Prada Releasing “Space” EP

The Devil Wears Prada has returned to Rise Records and the band’s next release, a conceptual EP entitled “Space,” is coming in Summer, 2015.

The band’s “Zombie 5 Tour Presented by Rockstar Energy Drink” celebrating the fifth anniversary of the “Zombie” EP, kicked off in Nashville this past Sunday night and and will criss-cross the country through mid May, wrapping in Bloomington, IL on May 14th. The band is performing the “Zombie” EP in its entirety for the first time, as well as a new song from the forthcoming “Space” EP.

Commenting on the band’s return to Rise Records, vocalist Mike Hranica noted, “We’re all very confident in working with Rise again. The label has grown tremendously since our first release back in 2006, nonetheless we know their intention is still the same as ever and we know it’s a model that will compliment us well.

“We’re persistently hands-on and love to do exactly as we please, and they’re a great place for us to be able to continue that path while supporting our visions. Rise can be commended, deservedly, for their wholehearted drive at releasing albums they believe in; and it’s that enthusiasm that is both welcoming and exciting for our band moving forward.”

Tomorrow’s Outlook Posts New Album Studio Footage

Norwegian metallers Tomorrow’s Outlook have posted some rough footage from the studio of Tom Mallicoat recording vocals for their upcoming album. The vocalist from American heavy metal band Lethal will be singing lead on the track “A Voice Unheard.”

The band comments: “We are thrilled to work with one of our all-time favourite vocalists for our forthcoming CD. Programmed which was the debut album of Tom’s band Lethal is a true masterpiece and definitely among our all-time favourite releases. What is so cool is that Tom is still the amazing singer he was back in the days. He hasn’t lost a bit of his voice actually. Still the same power and amazing range. We are working with the best vocalists in the industry, and even if Tom hasn’t really recorded anything the last 10 years or so, he can still stand toe to toe with the best. No doubt!”

The new release will be a concept album and is scheduled to drop in early 2014 via Battlegod Productions. Further details are forthcoming.

Leng Tch’e To Record New Album In 2013

Belgium’s Leng Tch’e has checked in with the following statement about gearing up to work on a new album in 2013:

“Well apart from a bunch of New Age authors laughing all the way to the bank, the world is still the same as yesterday. A beautiful place occasionally ruined by assholes. But that doesn’t mean 2012 wasn’t a great year for us!

“We started off by joining Origin and Psycroptic for the most brutal tour of the year, followed by a succesful summer festival season. Serge still doesn’t remember half of what happened at Obscene Extreme Festival.

“This year also marks the 10th anniversary of our debut album ‘Death by a Thousand Cuts.’ Yes we are getting old. And yes, it’s still sold out.

“But that’s not all, we’re nearly finished with the songwriting of our next album! Pre-production will start in February and hopefully we can finish our next masterpiece of brutally grooving grindcore by summertime. Which means we’ll bring this retarded circus back on the road in late 2013.”
