Static Tension Posts New Song “Obstacle Of Doubt”

Ohio’s Static Tension has revealed a brand new song titled “Obstacle of Doubt.” The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming EP “Out of Reach,” which will be released in January, and is highly recommended for fans of bands like Kings X, Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden.

The band commented: “‘Obstacle Of Doubt’ reflects some of our heavier influences, while maintaining the progressive grunge formula of raw vocals atop evolving musical passages. This one delves into feelings of self-doubt that often impede our ability to move forward with making a change.”

Curezum Streaming Double Single “One Hundred Years/The Top”

Curezum, the black metal tribute to The Cure, just unveiled the flipside of the double-single “One Hundred Years/The Top.” The track is a unique take on the psychedelic romp of the original song, and complements the A-side “One Hundred Years” with its dark and sinister mood. You can stream both tracks below.

In keeping with the 80s aesthetic of The Cure, the band will be doing a limited run of cassingles (yes, you read correctly) via Static Tension Recordings. The digital release date is December 10th, while the physical release date is set for January 8th. Pre-orders are now live at this location.
