Just a quick update to confirm the cancellation of Dec 23rd & Jan 6th show.

A Devastating Truth Parts With Bassist And Drummer

A Devastating Truth just checked in with some devastating news about parting ways with two band members:

“Dear friends, we’ve got some good and bad news for you. First off the bad news.

“We’ve decided to part ways with our drummer Lucas and our bassist Guido due to a few recent issues concerning the future of our band. We wish them lots of luck with any of their future musical aspirations and their personal lives.

“Further off we’ve managed to find a new vocalist. Freek Kruijswijk will be filling in the empty spot as vocalist. Last but not least, some words concerning our new music. We’re almost done writing our full length and we’ll start tracking in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled for the new material.

“P.S. Finishing the album is our main priority right now. The hunt for a new drummer and bassist is on a low profile, but if you think you have the skills required of becoming our new bassist or drummer be sure to contact our guitarist Tim.”

Naioth Makes Tomas Garcia A Permanent Member

Chilean math metal band Naioth announced that drummer Tomas Garcia (ex Daedius/Bluesur) has been added as a permanent member. Members of Naioth commented upon making him a permanent fixture in the band:

“When he did the audition for the spot of the drummer, he came in and performed the track “Seed Of Truth.” Right there we saw his technical precision, and that he was very dynamic and fast. We said to ourselves, this is our guy; he gained the spot deservedly.”

Tomas Garcia commented: “I’m very happy because I’m able to participate in Naioth. I like the challenge of playing its drum tracks, as this will allow me to grow and learn my own instrument even more. I learned about Naioth at the Prog Fest in Valparaiso where we shared the stage, and I liked, right there, the energy and the show that they had.”

Currently Naioth is finishing the demos for its second album. The band expects to start tracking very soon, so they can be doing shows by the end of 2014.

Stick To Your Guns Gearing Up To Record New Album

Stick To Your Guns will enter the studio on February 5th with producer John Feldmann (The Used, Story of the Year) to start tracking a new full-length album. Founding member/vocalist Jesse Barnett states:

“Personally this seems like the next logical step for our band. The five of us aren’t a group that has ever been OK with doing just enough or even entertain the thought of doing the same thing over and over again. We like to push ourselves. We like to ask ourselves, now what? What can we do to be better?

“With all of that being said, we are very excited about going into the studio with John. He has proven his expertise in punk music and that he takes bands and gets the absolute best out of them. I think I speak for all of us when I say the band that comes out of the studio will not be the same band going in.

“We will be bigger, faster, harder and more crushing. This is what we strive for and this is what John will help us achieve.”

Stick To Your Guns will hit the road in March on the “Fuck The Message” tour to close out most recent album, “Diamond.” For additional information head over to the band’s Facebook profile.
