Helsott Releases “Astralive” Video

On the release date of new EP, “The Healer,” there’s lots of news this week from the Helsott tribe. First comes a premiere of the band’s new promo video clip, “Astralive,” directed by Sicocis guitarist Rafael Ortega and available below.

“Filming ‘Astralive’ was a very enjoyable experience,” explains vocalist Eric Dow. “Raf was great to work with and Coop and I had fun scouting for a location in Arrowhead. We want to thank Mike Grieg for letting us set up camp.”

“I love how cold the video came out,” adds drummer Cooper Dustman. “It was actually blistering hot that day, we all got sunburns! Finding this remote spot in the mountains was adventurous considering the gps can only show so much. We scouted and shot this within a few days, and we’re proud of the final product.”

Second, Helsott is pleased to announce some upcoming tour dates, including the band’s first trip to Europe. The group will be supporting I Am Morbid (the new band from Morbid Angel’s David Vincent and Tim Yeung playing tracks from the first 4 classic Morbid Angel albums) and death metal legends Necrophagia.

“We have been working so hard to fulfill our goals,” states Eric Dow. “Taking our brand of Pagan Death Metal overseas has always been an ultimate goal for this band and now that we have the opportunity we will take full advantage of it. Europe… Helsott is finally coming!

The run is immediately followed by joining the west coast dates of the just announced Tengger Cavalry / Felix Martin tour.

“We are excited to be joining our label mates, Tengger Cavalry, and the amazing Felix Martin on a west coast leg of their North American Raid,” explains Eric. “This is a unique line-up and fans are in for a treat!”

Just one month ago, Swedish death metallers Cut Up released their sophomore album, Wherever They May Rot, worldwide via Metal Blade Records! Today, the band has released a new video for the album track “Behead The Dead”, which can be viewed at: youtube.com/watch?v=OxLjYNBOWlw

Cut Up guitarist/vocalist Andreas Bjornson comments: “The time has come to deliver a new video upon thee and we’re going all in on the Deathgrind with ‘Behead The Dead’! Whitechapel Releases “Bring Me Home” Music Video

After recently completing a co-headlining USA trek with Suicide Silence, Whitechapel is now ready to fly over to Europe to kick-off the Impericon “Never Say Die!” 2016 tour, which will see the band headline a 3-week-plus-run through 13 countries.

With just one week until the first show, Whitechapel is now premiering a new video for “Bring Me Home.” Front-man Phil Bozeman comments:

“This video means more to me than any video we’ve ever done. It portrays my struggle through dealing with my dad’s death at the age of 10. The shots of me show me at my darkest moments. Suicidal thoughts, suicide note and feeling alone. The atmosphere of the room we shot this is nailed exactly how I was feeling at the time. Dark, depressed and suicidal.

“The shots of the man and young boy portray my bond I had with my dad and how devastated I was when he left. They are presented to be in a dream like state of me remembering him. The last shot is from my dad and mom’s actual gravesite. It’s really awesome to have that authenticity to the video. The final scene is showing that I came out of it alive but no matter what, I will push forward and not give up.”

Regarding the upcoming European tour, guitarist Alex Wade adds: “We are excited to return to Europe shortly with our new record and headline ‘Never Say Die!’ 2016. We love Impericon and the ‘Never Say Die!’ Tour, so we’ve been looking forward to this since it was offered to us. The line-up is solid and heavy so don’t miss this tour!”

Monarchy continues the seasonal concept that began with spring on Rivers of Nihil‘s debut, The Conscious Seed of Light – this time, welcoming the oppressive summer heat. Adam Biggs, who also serves as the band’s primary lyricist, explains: “The Earth has been transformed into a vast desert wasteland, where after aeons of lifelessness, new beings begin to take shape and begin their journey as shepherds of the planet. But after a while, a class system forms from a sun-worshiping religious dictatorship, and these beings start to lose their way. Only the guidance of an ancient earthly force can help them save themselves as well the planet.”

Lyric Video For New Song “Wishing Well” Released By Theocracy

Athens, Georgia based melodic metal band Theocracy just released a lyric video for the track “Wishing Well” from the highly anticipated new album “Ghost Ship.” Check it out in the player below. The album will be released on October 28th in Europe and North America through Ulterium Records.

“Ghost Ship” will be available on CD, 2LP and digital. The 2LP edition is strictly limited to 1001 copies worldwide. 750 copies comes with black vinyl discs and 251 copies comes with white vinyl discs.

With “Ghost Ship,” Theocracy perfects the lively and fully-realized sound of “As the World Bleeds,” delivering 10 muscular and streamlined tracks that never lose focus and combine for one memorable journey. You like mid-tempo singalong anthems? Try the “Ghost Ship” title track. Thrashy rhythms and intensity? “The Wonder of It All” should be to your liking. Emotional ballads with huge melodic hooks? Go “Around the World and Back.” Or if you prefer epic, progressive tracks that do all these things and more, 10-minute album closer “Easter” is sure to be a favorite. Each song on “Ghost Ship” stands alone and has a unique signature, but every moment sounds unmistakably like Theocracy.

“So many kids were coming up to us after shows and telling us their stories,” says Theocracy vocalist Matt Smith. “A lot of them were searching for purpose and a place to fit in, and having grown up as an awkward and unpopular kid myself, their words really stuck with me. I started thinking about what a band of misfits Jesus’ disciples were: fishermen, tax collectors, and people of little consequence in the eyes of the world. Sometimes the ones most people don’t see, or choose to look straight through—the ghosts of society, as it were, dead to the world—end up having the biggest impact. That’s where the title and idea for Ghost Ship came from: all the misfits, the uncool, the outcasts, there is a place where you do fit in. Although Ghost Ship is not a concept album, this is a recurring theme, particularly in the title track and ‘Castaway.’”

The track listing for “Ghost Ship” is:

1. Paper Tiger
2. Ghost Ship
3. The Wonder Of It All
4. Wishing Well
5. Around the World and Back
6. Stir the Embers
7. A Call To Arms
8. Currency In A Bankrupt World
9. Castaway
10. Easter

Advent Of Bedlam Releases “Creatures Of Yore” Lyric Video

After releasing new single “Creatures of Yore” and joining Destroyer 666 on a face-melting Mexican tour, Advent Of Bedlam now officially premieres a lyric video for the track.

“Creatures of Yore” will not only give you the metal fix you’ve been looking for but also showcases some mysterious ancient art that’s portrayed through the band’s lyrics and music. Advent Of Bedlam also comments on recent live shows:

“As a Latin American band and because of the buzz surrounding D666 before the tour, we were really intrigued about how this experience would be. After sharing stage, hotels, van, meals and beers with them, all we can do is confirm what Mike Hamilton (Deeds of Flesh) said to us in Slovakia where we were having some backline problems when sharing stage with Exhumed, Rotten Sound and Magrudergrind: ‘This is the Underground and in the Underground bands supports bands.’ Both experiences were milestones for us and have allowed Advent of Bedlam to grow tremendously as a band.”
