New Song “‘Till Body Quits” Streaming From The Ditch And The Delta

Salt Lake City based sludge act The Ditch and the Delta is streaming the new song “‘Till Body Quits,” which you can enjoy in the player below. The song is taken from the upcoming new album “Hives in Decline” which drops via Prosthetic Records on September 8th.

The Ditch and the Delta formed out of three friends of nearly 15 years. While Elliot Secrist (guitar/vocals), and Charles Bogus (Drums), have played in bands off an on over that span of time, it was the addition of Kory Quist (Bass/vocals) that solidified the band and their sound. The band is often lumped in the doom category but their sound is most often described as sludgy math rock, “Neurosis as a stripped down, noise rock outfit” (noecho.net).

The track listing for “Hives in Decline” is:

1. Hives in Decline
2. Fuck on Asphalt
3. Sleeping Dogs
4. Dry Land
5. ‘Till Body Quits
6. Mud
7. Dread Spectacle

New Album “Void Estate” Announced By End Of Green

Dark. Loud. End Of Green. Germany’s strongest dark rock band has found a unique standpoint in the cosmos of music and has once again lacerated lesions for the upcoming effort “Void Estate.” End Of Green comes from a world of its own; no other band is able to visualize isolation in the midst of beauty with such ear-piercing power and after 25 years of agony they release opus number nine – out on August 18th 2017 via Napalm Records as a 2CD Digipak (CD+DVD),
2LP Gatefold and Digital Album.

So what else should one expect from “Void Estate”?

Inside of a maze of Goth, doom, metal, doleful alternative and deep-rooted pain, the band is desperate to find hope. Michelle Darkness sings touching and intimate dirges about aging, loss and loneliness. Every note is clutched by wistfulness and somewhere in these lofty melodies glimmers a spark of optimism; A redeeming ray of hope sheltered in melodic hook lines.

The Ditch And The Delta Posts New Song “Sleeping Dogs”

With the release of Salt Lake City-based trio The Ditch And The Delta’s debut LP “Hives In Decline” set for release through Battleground Records next week, today new track “Sleeping Dogs” is offered for public consumption.

Engineered by Andy Patterson of Subrosa, “Hives In Decline” shows The Ditch And The Delta exploring further aspects of sound design within a unique take on doom/sludge metal. Employing different tunings, and modal centers, every song the band writes manages to avoid many of the usual doom trappings of excessive feedback, static harmony, and exploratory riffs.

“Hives In Decline” also features a swarm of solos by Gentry Densley (Eagle Twin, Iceburn) on the song “Fuck On Asphalt.” The lyrical content deals with everyday life and the constant suppression and alienation that comes with it. Three men from Mormon-dominated Utah are bound to have a lot of resentment and disdain for the mono culture they exist in daily.

The Ditch And The Delta is actively booking new tour dates in support of the album, including a hometown record release show on May 12th. That is followed by a run of West Coast shows in Sacramento, Eugene, Seattle, Portland, and Boise from May 16th through 20th, supporting Pinkish Black in Portland. A hometown show with Graves At Sea closes May.
