With their latest offering, Rust, the four-piece brilliantly combines industrial repetition (ala Godflesh) with the aggressive attack of metal/hardcore. Hailed as “pure, molten brutality” (, Rust continues down the path that Harm’s Way started when they formed in 2006, before releasing 2009′s Reality Approaches, 2011′s Isolation, and several EPs. Fans can expect another seminal album with the group’s upcoming, currently untitled record, which will be released via Metal Blade Records in 2018.

Siberian Posts “Kingdoms” Track

Swedish sludge metal band Siberian is today streaming “Kingdoms,” a track taken from the “Through Ages of Sleep” album that will be released in North America on June 30th, 2017.

“Through Ages of Sleep” is Siberian’s second theme-based album in the “Age” trilogy. The Swedish three-piece mixes influences from American sludge and Scandinavian metal to create a unique wall of sound in this trilogy.

The album was written and based on band members Gus Ring, Linus Marron, and Daniel Eklöw’s own dreams during a 2 year period.

Returning to Joona Hassinen and his Studio Underjord to record “Through Ages of Sleep” was the obvious choice for the band, keeping the trilogy true to its core.Mastering was done by Brad Boatright at AudioSieg, while Mattias Frisk (Ghost, Vanhelgd, Miasmal) illustrated the album on oil panel.

Psycho Las Vegas 2017 (featuring King Diamond)

– May 19th, 2017 –

Tickets on sale now, plus hotel discounts available

Set to take place from August 18th through August 20th (with a pre-party on August 17th at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada), Psycho Las Vegas 2017 will see the legendary King Diamond perform the Abigail album in its entirety as a USA-exclusive show for 2017. Other headliners at the festival include Mastodon, Neurosis, Corrosion of Conformity, among countless other bands as support. It is already – and rightly so – being hailed as one of the best heavy lineups ever put together for an American festival.

Last year, Dig Boston lauded Psycho Las Vegas for boasting “one of the most amazing festival lineups” to-date. BrooklynVegan praised the event as both “fun [and] weird” with a sound quality that was “absolutely top-level,” while Las Vegas Review Journal celebrated the festival’s “communal, come-as-you-are vibe,” adding that “the whole weekend had the feel of a heavy-metal family gathering meets ‘The Big Lebowski’; a laid-back get-together with an ensemble cast of far-out characters, from gray-haired dudes in Captain Beefheart T-shirts to Yeti-shaggy heavy-metal epicureans…Noisey concurred, hailing Psycho Las Vegas for fulfilling “every hesher’s fantasy of wandering around the Hard Rock Hotel stoned out of your mind while alternating between gambling, getting wasted, smoking cigarettes indoors, eating Mexican food, flaunting tattoos, and, of course, watching a seemingly endless onslaught of metal bands perform.

And this year, Psycho Las Vegas will only up the proverbial ante with exclusive 2017 USA appearances by French progressive rock unit Magma, black metallers Abbath led by former Immortal guitarist/vocalist Abbath Doom Occulta, and cult stoner/desert rock unit Slo Burn, fronted by Kyuss‘ John Garcia. Additionally, Mulatu Astatke, the father of Ethio-jazz, will be making his west of Chicago exclusive appearance, while Manilla Road, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary, will perform their classic Crystal Logic in its entirety as a worldwide exclusive for Psycho Las Vegas.
