Ghost Posts New Webisode “The Visit” Online

Today, multi-Grammy-nominated Swedish rock band Ghost releases “Chapter 6: The Visit,” the latest video in the band’s narrative webisode series. In “Chapter 5: The Call,” Sister Imperator, who was recuperating from a horrible car crash, discussed the merits and failings of “The Omen” feature film franchise while on the phone with Papa Nihil. In “Chapter 6: The Visit,” the story continues. Check it out below.

Twenty-nineteen is already looking to be a stellar year for Ghost. Following the band’s critically-acclaimed Fall 2018 North American tour where the itinerary included the band’s first headline – and sold out – arena shows – the Los Angeles Forum and Montreal’s Place Bell – Ghost will take its “A Pale Tour Named Death” to Europe, launching on February 3 in Lyon, France. Frontman Cardinal Copia will take a short break for a quick trip to Los Angeles where he will attend The Grammys on February 10 as the band is nominated in two categories: Best Rock Album for Prequelle and Best Rock Song for “Rats,” the song that held the 2018 record for most weeks at #1 at Rock Radio, a total of eight. In 2016, Ghost took home its first Grammy for its song “Circe” as “Best Metal Performance.” This summer, Ghost will be Special Guest on all four legs of Metallica’s “Worldwired” European Stadium tour that starts May 1 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Dee Snider (ex-Twisted Sister) Premieres New Track “Tomorrow’s No Concern”

A music video for the new Dee Snider (ex-Twisted Sister) single “Tomorrow’s No Concern” is streaming below. It’s from Snider’s new effort “For The Love Of Metal“, which was helmed by Hatebreed/Jasta, etc. vocalist Jamey Jasta and features guest spots from Lamb Of God‘s Mark Morton, Howard Jones (Light The Torch, ex-Killswitch Engage, etc.), Arch Enemy‘s Alissa White-Gluz, Joel Grind and Nick Bellmore of Toxic Holocaust and Kingdom Of Sorrow‘s Charlie Bellmore.

Says Snider of this new track:

“‘Tomorrow’s No Concern‘ is the perfect first single off of my new album ‘For The Love Of Metal‘. Lyrically it’s about me living for today, not in the past. So many people waste their lives away remembering the “glory days”. While I am proud of all that I’ve done, I’m more interested and excited about what is happening now. In the song I urge the listener to do the same; live in the moment and don’t let the past – good, bad or indifferent – or what might or might not happen in the future ever slow you down!”

A July 27th release date has been set for the album and pre-orders for it are live now at this location. In other news, Snider has told that he recently sold an animated children’s show to Netflix. He wasn’t too forthcoming with the details, but did promise it will have “good music.”

Wayfarer To Release New Album In May. Details Revealed..

A reflection of the Rocky Mountains and high plains of their native Colorado, Wayfarer tells a story that is uniquely American. Drawing influence as much from the dusty, dark Americana of the “Denver sound” and the scores of epic Westerns as they do the fury and melody of black metal, Wayfarer brings something original to the table with a sound that is at once aggressive and honest. Their third album World’s Blood paints a hallucinatory picture of the Western frontier, and the haunting presence of the blood in the soils from a culture lost to time.

Wayfarer recorded World’s Blood in the winter of early 2018 at The Thousand Caves in New York under the watchful production of Colin Marston. The cover displays an antique photograph by Edward S. Curtis taken in Montana in 1908.

The band also announces new spring tour dates with the likes of Primitive Man, Krallice, Forn, and more.

While every track on The Grand Annihilation stands separate from those around it, it is still a cohesive collection, and at no point do the stylistic twists and turns undermine its coherence. The blasting, scathing yet melodic black metal savagery of opener “Black Sun Horizon” and “Way Of The Storm” are very much built to destroy, while wielding a poignancy that is undeniable – both of which stand in strong contrast to the uncomfortable post-punk squall of “Underneath” that showcases front-man Mike Hill’s Nick Cave/Ian Curtis-esque singing voice, while the likes of the throbbing “Saturnalian” and unnerving tribal thunder of “Walk With Me In Nightmares” stand in categories all of their own.
