Gojira Stream In-Studio Live Performance Of “Global Warming”

Gojira stream the below in-studio live performance of their track “Global Warming“, taken from their 2004 effort “From Mars To Sirius“. The video was captured at Silver Cord Studio in New York City, NY, which is owned by the group’s vocalist/guitarist Joe Duplantier.

State the band:

“A few weeks ago, we played ‘Global Warming‘ together for the first time since the recording of ‘From Mars To Sirius‘. We never played it live before, as it is a challenging one to play, and place in a set list. It’s emotionally heavy, and would almost ‘hurt’ the rest of the songs in a way.

Global warming is a reality and a relevant topic, we feel it’s good to be reminded of one of the most important challenges of our time: How to grow as a species without being a parasite to our planet, the only home we have. ‘We will see our children growing’ is a mantra for future generations, and in a figurative way we hope the children in all of us will grow, evolve, and take action for a more compassionate and meaningful world.”

Rise Of The Northstar Recording New Album Gojira’s Joe Duplantier

Crossover metallers Rise Of The Northstar are currently hard at work recording the follow-up to their hit debut ‘Welcame’. The band travelled all the way to New York and entered the Silver Cord Studio to record with Gojira’s very own Joe Duplantier.

Commented the band: “If touring in Japan was always our goal, making an album in New York, one of the most influential cities in the world, with Joe Duplantier producing, is one big challenge.
We’re here to enhance our blend of metal and rap and to take it to the next level. Each corner of this town is a visual mirror of the thickness of our sound. We’re gonna soak in Brooklyn and sweat it back out on record.”

Added Duplantier: “I’m excited to contribute to this album. Rise Of The Northstar is badass. Their approach of music is so direct, and they drive their career the same way. Definitely a great experience for me.”

Metal enigma Car Bomb announces third full-length album “Meta” is coming October 28th, with pre-orders online at this location.

To introduce “Meta” to the world, Car Bomb chose to launch things in a cryptic way. On August 15th, the band emailed individual 5-second sound clips to select fans, with no explanation or instructions. Fans quickly connected with one another via social media and began piecing the clips together. In about one week, the work was completed and one full song was revealed: opening track, “From the Dust of This Planet.”

A rich, 3-minute slice of what lies in store, “From the Dust of This Planet” churns and shifts, expanding and contracting like a conscious and schizophrenic machine – listen in below.
