Replacire Posts New Song “Horsestance”

Boston’s explosive, multi-faceted technical metal band Replacire is today streaming another new track from forthcoming album, “Do Not Deviate.” The crushing, whirling amalgamation of extreme prog and death metal titled “Horsestance” can be heard below.

Regarding the track, guitarist Eric Alper comments: “‘Horsestance’ is my favorite song off the new record. The writing process was painless on this one, it flowed out naturally and hits hard! It’s a flurry of downpicking slams, bouncy riffs, unique cleans, and visceral moments.

“Combining influence from multiple extreme bands it’s a gross amalgamation of old Metallica’s unrelenting picking style with the chromatic and unexpected note choice of Cannibal Corpse. It’s one of the shortest songs we’ve ever written and in my mind represents the overall energy of the record. It’s manic but deliberate, leaving something to be discovered with each listen. It features non-repeating parts but isn’t linear, something we strive for throughout the album.”

New album “Do Not Deviate” will be released by Season of Mist worldwide on March 17th, 2017 and features the following track listing:

1. Horsestance
2. Act, Re-enact
3. Built Upon the Grave of He Who Bends
4. Any Promise
5. Cold Repeater
6. Reprise
7. Moonbred Chains
8. Do Not Deviate
9. Spider Song
10. Traveling Through Abyss
11. Enough for One

New Tool Tracks Reportedly More Than 12 Minutes Long

People are still apparently insisting a new Tool album is coming, despite the very loud silence on that subject from the band, and today some quasi-but-not-really-actual news comes online!

Some seriously third part info has hit the digital airwaves (heaven forbid the band actually update the fans in any significant way) that Team Rock reports that Melvins’ member Buzz Osborne says all the tracks on this supposed album are 12+ minutes long.

According to the report, Osborne said: “they haven’t even started recording yet, but Adam [Jones, Tool guitarist] told me the shortest song they’ve been working on is twelve minutes long.”

In other words, none of this actually from the band, and its probably all nonsense, but because every other site on the net jumped on it as actual news we have to post about it as well to keep you rumor-mongering drama queens happy.

In other news, an autobiography that will shed no new light on any upcoming material is on the way from Maynard James Keenan, and if you fancy hearing years old songs you can catch the band at Voodoo Fest later this year.

The band’s vocalist/keyboardist Einar Solberg comments on the track as follows: “Restless represent ‘Bilateral’ in many ways. It’s complex, but at the same time catchy and plain. Even though it’s one of the shortest songs on the album, I feel it’s flavored with all the things that make Leprous special. It has the catchy chorus, it has the groove, it has prog’ish feel
and last but not least it has the heaviness.”
