Ozzy Osbourne Reportedly Missing After Splitting With Wife

Update: more photos have now been posted online of Ozzy shot earlier this morning (see below). He’s looking haggard, but is apparently fine. There has still been no comment from anyone in the Ozzy camp about the situation.

E! Online reported this weekend that Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s 33 year marriage has come to an end, with Ozzy apparently vacating the premises.

Several sites are now reporting that Ozzy has gone missing since the split, with members of the family unable to contact the musical icon.

The original source of the story is a less than spectacularly reputable source however, and we are still waiting on confirmation from Osbourne’s management or anyone in the family. PageSix.com issued this statement about an unnamed source:

Son Jack, 31, is said to be desperate to speak to rocker Ozzy but cannot find him. Pals said Ozzy’s children tried to contact stylist Michelle Pugh to see if their dad was with her but she did not turn up for work on Saturday.

A source said: “Jack tried to get hold of Ozzy because he thinks he might talk some sense into him. He and his sisters Kelly and Aimee are worried about him and a bit shocked by what has gone on. But Sharon is in an unforgiving mood and does not want him in the house, so it’s a difficult position. Sharon has got a fiery temper, but after a row, they often kiss and make up. It is a bit different this time, though, and she is extremely angry with Ozzy.”

Complicating the situation is that a tweet just went live from Ozzy’s official Twitter account (check it out below) not mentioning the situation at all and possibly indicating he’s fine. The exact same message with identical wording went live on the Slipknot pages at the same time however, so this may have been a scheduled post that went online automatically.

Celebrity gossip site JustJared.com has also released a photo reportedly shot today (May 9th) of Ozzy carrying a dog down a street in Los Angeles. Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available from an official source.

Ozzfest Japan Adds Tool, Slash, Deftones, And Stone Sour To Lineup

The line-up for the first ever Ozzfest Japan – set for Saturday, May 11th and Sunday, May 12th, 2013 at the Makuhari Messe arena just outside of Tokyo – has now expanded with Tool, Slash, Deftones, and Stone Sour joining previously announced headliners Black Sabbath and Slipknot.

“We’ve assembled an amazing lineup for the first ever Ozzfest Japan. Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Tool, Slash, what more could you ask for?” says Sharon Osbourne “And we still have plenty of surprises to come. The Ozzfest Japan line-up will rival any of our previous festivals.”

“It took a long time for Ozzfest to come to Japan but I know the fans here are going to feel it was worth the wait,” Massy Hayashi of Hayashi International Promotions says. “Of course, any time you have living legends like Black Sabbath on stage you know it is going to be a memorable event.” Last year, Hayashi International Promotions produced the sold-out one-day punk rock festival Air Jam at Yokohama Stadium.

Tickets pre-reservation started on November 25th and ticket prices are as follows: single-day tickets are JPY 14,000, weekend passes are JPY 27,000, and weekend passes including an official festival t-shirt are JPY 30,000. Bill Ward Updates Black Sabbath Reunion Status

Recently, Bill Ward announced that he would not be participating in the Black Sabbath reunion due to an “unsignable” contract being presented in negotiations. After finding out he was replaced by Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, he has broken his silence. On his Facebook page, Bill has updated the present state of affairs regarding the impending Black Sabbath reunion in this excerpt:

Hello my fans. I am humbled by the outpouring of support you’ve shown me. On this third round of negotiations my lawyers have sent to Ozzy’s attorneys, here is how the reunion stands. Keep in mind I have nothing but respect for my former bandmates, so I wish to not speak in derogatory terms of them.

However, the contract is still unsignable and I am breaking my silence to divulge the reasons why. It’s unsignable because Sharon Osbourne only wanted to give Geezer and I five percent each, along with 10 percent for Tony. Mind you, I am not on the dole and I don’t need a few quid that badly. I have my honor and as an original member of Black Sabbath I deserve to be shown respect.

Might I add that Sharon also included some mighty rich stipulations to that contract as well. She never forgave me for leaving Ozzfest in 1997 and departing the next year due to health reasons. Bloody nonsense! She made sure that on any of the tour riders I would not get a vegan platter, plus she wanted me to walk Ozzy’s twelve dogs before each show.

To top it off, Sharon wanted us to do a version of “Changes” on the setlist that featured Kelly Osbourne dueting with Ozzy. I’m sorry mate, but that’s where I draw the line. It was also in the contract that I would have to feature all these new commercial bands that Sharon manages on my monthly radio show on WPMD. What a load of horse bollocks. I can’t handle that woman since she threw eggs at our mates in Iron Maiden years back, which upset me enough to leave that tour.

The most unacceptable thing, in my opinion, was how Sharon’s management team insisted that the new album we would put out should contain commercial sounding metal that would make it easier for us to get airplay. The boys and I were thinking of calling the new album “Doomination,” but she thought the title was too limiting. So, at this point, the contract is still unsignable. Mind you, I am ready at any moment to board a plane from California to Birmingham if a proper contract with no degrading stipulations exists, one in which I’d also get a proper twenty-five percent.

Bill also went on to say that it would be better if Black Sabbath reunited on 12/12/12, so that they could turn it up to twelve and watch the apocalypse unfold in nine days to some loud doom metal.
