Sins Of The Damned Posts New Song “Take The Weapons” Online

Shadow Kingdom Records has set May 3rd as the international release date for Sins Of The Damned’s debut album, Striking The Bell Of Death, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats.

Formed in 2013 in the city of Santiago, Sins Of The Damned have become a cult institution in their homeland of Chile, itself a hotbed of heavy metal mania. The band self-released their first couple of demos, totally DIY but 100% professional, and prodigiously perfected their craft with subsequent short-length releases every year since. And now, at last arrives the full distillation of Sins Of The Damned’s eternal, unyielding aesthetic: the full-length Striking The Bell Of Death!

For a debut album, Striking The Bell Of Death does everything it should: consolidate all of Sins Of The Damned’s strengths, unveil previously hinted-at elements, and deliver them in a powerful production. The beauty (or is that ugliness?) of Sins Of The Damned is that the quartet maintain such a classic sound, drinking deeply of metal’s rich history, and yet exude a freshness of approach that results in something legitimately, respectably modern. Striking The Bell Of Death is full, furious proof of that, exhibiting absolutely masterful songwriting – hooks, energy, and passion – while roughening it up in a manner almost blackened (but not too much!). As such, the record comes highly recommended to maniacs of classic Razor, Whiplash, Exciter, and Deathrow (Germany) as well as current torchbearers like Desaster, Gospel Of The Horns, Deathhammer, and Italy’s Barbarian.

Hark! Do you hear that sound? It’s Sins Of The Damned – Striking The Bell Of Death. The first tolling bell of doom can be heard with the new track “Take The Weapons”.

Debut Album “The Heresiarch” To Be Issued By Nupraptor

Today, Shadow Kingdom Records set November 24th as the international release date for the surprise debut of Nupraptor, “The Heresiarch,” on CD and cassette tape formats. The vinyl version shall be released later, on December 29th.

Curiously named, Nupraptor is the solo project of White Hornet mastermind Matt St. Ours, who’s been itching to record some pure ‘n’ powerful doom metal for a while now. And that’s exactly what you get with “The Heresiarch”: the purest DOOM, powerful as it comes, downtrodden and desolate to the bitter end.

Hailing the old European gods of traditional doom, Nupraptor crafts seven slumbering beasts of majestic misery within a mystical continuum of 51 minutes, starting with a “Black Mass” and on “Through the Smoke” before “Burning the Believers” “Before the Eyes of God,” and at last “Wasting Away” before “The Fall of Christ.” Verily, St. Ours crafts music for the grave and the graveyard, his haunting vocals heralding the onset of long nights wrapped in the fog’s embrace, languorous and lonely. Or, more accurately, you simply cannot craft doom metal of such a beautifully barren hue without having LIVED it – and dying for it. Behold The Heresiarch, for it has arrived as Nupraptor!

Await the arrival with the new tracks “Through the Smoke” and “The Fall of Christ” at Shadow Kingdom’s Bandcamp streaming below, where all three formats of the album can be preordered.

Cover and track listing are as follows:

1. Black Mass
2. Through The Smoke
3. Burning The Believers
4. The Heresiarch
5. Before the Eyes of God
6. Wasting Away
7. The Fall Of Christ

Shadow Kingdom Records Signs Horrified For New Album “Allure Of The Fallen”

Today, Shadow Kingdom Records announced the signing of U.K. death metal act Horrified. The first fruit of this union shall be the band’s highly anticipated third album “Allure of the Fallen,” which will be released this fall. The release date, cover art, track listing, and first track premiere to be announced shortly.

A work of towering, melodic death metal majesty, “Allure of the Fallen” is the record by which Horrified continue the ascent and truly stakes a claim as one of the subgenre’s elite – rendering a new modern classic to the canon. Hailing from Newcastle upon Tyne, Horrified was born in 2012 with humble beginnings. An acolyte worshiping the altar of old-school death metal, founder and creator Dan Alderson would later transform the project into a full band. Like so many of their predecessors, Horrified took a sidestep and evolved into melodic and grandiose territory, adding twin-guitar harmonies and increasing its scope into epic territory without sacrificing the original vision of savage OSDM.

After releasing two full-length albums on various labels, assaulting UK underground audiences with tight, energetic live performances and taking the aural onslaught to European audiences, Horrified took steps up from the underground with wide, positive acclaim for the second full-length album “Of Despair.” But now, with the impending release of third album “Allure of the Fallen,” Horrified has been reborn into something far more vast than ever originally imagined. Comprising six expansive tracks in an epic 46 minutes, “Allure of the Fallen” finds the band in an enviable state of maturity, exuding class and power in equal measure, the ever-winding but never-extraneous compositions truly taking the listener on a journey into what real – and really melodic – death metal can encompass. Thus, Horrified’s signing to Shadow Kingdom for the album’s release is a logical alliance to bolster the band’s ever-growing evolution and constant broadening of vision, scope, and horizons. Patient but never slumbering, Horrified arises from the ashes of a barren landscape, shrouded in majesty, resurrected in ancient art. This is the “Allure of the Fallen”: pay witness to the dawn of majesty.

Damain Herring (Horrendous) commented: “This band just keeps getting better with each album. On ‘Allure of the Fallen,’ they shed much of their ‘Sunlight’ influences sound- and music-wise, and incorporate a lot more black metal and doom. It’s melodic, heavy, and catchy as hell. It brings to mind fond memories when I first discovered bands like Unanimated, Sacramentum, etc, and that’s an awesome thing. This will definitely be a highlight for a lot of folks in 2017!”

Stay tuned for more info.
