Century Media Records Inks Deal With Death Alley, New Song Released

Dutch destroyers Death Alley signed on with Century Media Records for the upcoming sophomore album. The band is streaming the new song “The Sewage,” which is available in the player at the bottom.

The band already raised attention with the debut album “Black Magick Boogieland” in 2015. The band, revolving around former The Devil’s Blood guitarist Oeds Beydals, singer Douwe Truijens, Swedish drummer Uno Bruniusson (ex-In Solitude) and latest addition Sander Bus on bass, mainline an unorthodox cross contamination of psychedelic hard rock and punk, played with excellent precision and power. The spirit of Bad Brains and King Crimson, Hawkwind and Poison Idea, and hints of The Stooges and Black Sabbath-worship form the fundament for Death Alley’s solid rock and roll presented with metal finesse and a pitch black psychedelic soul cherry on top.

The ink on the new deal with Century Media Records isn’t dry yet and the band just left the Moon Studios where they recorded the sophomore album with producer Pieter Kloos (Motorpsycho, The Devil’s Blood, Dool, etc.). Right now, the band is hitting the road again with friends in Kadavar with whom very special tour split 7” was created.

The band comments: “We’ve been sailing the sewage for quite a while now, and time has come to harvest the gold and offer it to you on a silver platter. We can spend much time and effort describing the feeling of the new music, the upcoming record, and the European tour with Kadavar, but that will always be just a faint shadow of showing it: so just come to the shows and blast the new song with volume at 11 – that’ll say more than the dozens of synonyms for ‘stoked’. Let us feast on it.”

Don’t miss seeing Death Alley on tour in Europe and watch out for the new album to be released in early 2018 through Century Media Records.

Ross Sewage Re-Joining Exhumed For U.S. Tour Dates

California’s gore strategists from Exhumed are currently dispersing their disease throughout North America supporting co-headliners Napalm Death and Voivod. The invasion will have slaughtered nearly three-dozen municipalities upon its conclusion, with its final assault befalling Houston on February 28th.

Beginning with tomorrow’s performance in Seattle through a Los Angeles date on February 22nd, bassist/vocalist Ross Sewage (Ghoul, Impaled), who played on the original “Gore Metal” release and redid his vocals for the recently-released re-recorded version “(Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 – 2015”), will join Exhumed onstage for an “old school” portion of the band’s set.

Comments guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey, “I’m beyond psyched that our old friend Ross Sewage will be doing us the honor of joining us on the West Coast for a some really special sets where the pure old school vibe will be 100% raging. It’s been a long time since we’ve shared the stage properly and I’ve been hoping something like this would happen for years. We look forward to grinding your faces off and literally partying like it’s 1999!”

Adds Sewage, “It’s awesome to go casket crushing again with Matt and EXHUMED, my fellow necromaniacs. We’re going to give the naked and the dead a proper taste of EXHUMED’s earlier years. In our human slaughterhouse, there will be nothing but pure, unbridled, gore fucking metal… but don’t call it a comeback. I been here for years. Makin’ the blood rain down like a monsoon, listen to my bass go boom.”

Milan Melodic Metal Band Rhyme Signs On With Bakerteam Records

Milan melodic metal band Rhyme signed on with Italy’s Bakerteam Records. The band released its debut album “Fi(r)st” back in early 2011 through Bagana Records and played a European tour with Papa Roach and The Misfits, in addition to an appearance at the Rocklahoma fest in the U.S. The band’s first release for Bakersteam will be the sophomore effort entitled “The Seed and The Sewage.”

According to the press release, the new effort “draws its influences from modern metal, hard rock and southern rock, mixing them with deep lyrics inspired by the world’s social and economic events. Irony and rage, fury, sarcasm and desperation are all elements that can be traced in Rhyme’s musical path, which is now as relevant as ever.” “The Seed and the Sewage” will see guest appearances from members of Destrage, Elvenking and Secret Sphere.

A release date for “The Seed and the Sewage” has not yet been announced.
