Nightmare Recruits New Vocalist And Drummer

The French heavy metal pioneers from Nightmare had to face vocalist Jo and drummer David Amore leaving the band this summer. But whoever thought that this could mean the end for the long-running group (which was founded in 1979) was very wrong.

Last Saturday, Nightmare held a presentation of the group’s new line-up in Grenoble; announcing the addition of new vocalist Magali Luyten (Beautiful Sin, Beyond The Bridge, ex-Ayreon) and drummer Olivier Casula (Sangdragon, ex-Thalidomide, The Seven Gates).

A video message from the band about the new lineup can be seen below, while an upcoming album is planned for the fall of 2016.

The Seven Gates Splits With Vocalist Vincent Urbain

French death metal act The Seven Gates has issued the following announcement about splitting with the band’s vocalist:

“The Seven Gates just parted ways with vocalist/bass player Vincent Urbain due to personal reasons and divergences of view regarding the band’s musical evolution.

“But having been the former administrator of the Myspace and Facebook pages, he still owns all the passwords and codes and keeps spreading rumors about the band having stopped its activities, which is untrue.

“The Seven Gates’ new front man is David Boutarin (ex-Decent, ex-Destinity) and the band is currently working onto some fresh material to appear on the forthcoming album.”
