Dream Theater Posts New Studio Video Online Showing New Album Guitar Tracking

American progressive metal legends Dream Theater has posted a new video online, the latest in their series chronicling the recording of their as yet untitled fourteenth studio album. This time, John Petrucci gives fans a behind the scenes look at the guitar tracking. You can check it out below. This will be the band’s first album for Sony Music’s progressive imprint InsideOutMusic, with whom they signed with last year.

Stone Sour Release “Burn One Turn One” Studio Footage

Stone Sour share a behind the scenes look at the studio sessions for their recently released song “Burn One Turn One“. That track was recorded during the sessions for their latest release “Hydrograd” and was released online late past month. It will be featured on an upcoming deluxe edition of “Hydrograd” that is scheduled for an August 31st release via Roadrunner Records.

As I Lay Dying Post Behind The Scenes Recap Of June Reunion Show

Last month saw As I Lay Dying play their first live performance since 2013. Said show took place at the SOMA Sidestage in San Diego, CA on June 16th. As I Lay Dying have now shared their official behind the scenes recap of it streaming below.

Their lenghty hiatus of course came about as a result of vocalist Tim Lambesis being arrested in 2013 for attempting to hire a hitman to murder his wife at the time.

In 2014 he pled guilty to a charge of solicitation of another to commit murder and spent roughly two years in jail as a result. The group have since released this video discussion, explaining their reunion with Lambesis.

Avatarium Posts New Album Teaser Trailer

The doomy vintage rock wizards from Avatarium will deliver third full-length album “Hurricanes And Halos” on May 26th and today the Swedes unveil a new studio trailer for this magically haunting release.

Daybreak Embrace Posts “The Moment” Music Video

South Florida based alt rock / metal band Daybreak Embrace has released an official music video for latest single, “The Moment.” Utilizing footage from a performance at Woodstock Poland 2016, “The Moment” was self-filmed and includes live stage shots as well as behind the scenes clips.

Kenny Figueroa (Guitar) comments: “The Moment” is a tribute to the fans and family gained on a cross-continent journey full of love, life and loud music.”

Malacoda Posts “Linger Here” Music Video

Canadian horror-inspired symphonic power metal band Malacoda (named after a demon from Dante’s “Divine Comedy”) unleashed new EP “Ritualis Aeterna” this past December.

Today Malacoda is premiering a new video for album track “Linger Here,” which captures the group’s time behind the scenes recording “Ritualis Aeterna” in the studio. Vocalist Lucas Di Mascio comments:

“The introspective video for ‘Linger Here’ is a private look into the studio I (vocalist Luca Di Mascio) own (Old Haunt Recording Studio) where we write, rehearse and record all of our ideas.”
