Unearth Posts New Music Video “One With The Sun” Online

Boston metalcore outfit Unearth has posted a new music video online for the song, “One With The Sun.” You can check it out below. The song comes from the band’s new album, “Extinction(s)” which will be released through Century Media Records on November 23rd.

“We chose ‘One With The Sun’ as the first video off Extinction(s) because we feel it’s one of the hardest hitting tracks in our entire catalog. Musically it’s everything Unearth is about and lyrically it deals with the effects of climate change we are feeling today as well as the bleakness of our future unless we make drastic changes now. Tim Dennesen and the guys at Punchdance, inc did a great job capturing the imagery needed to get the message across. You’ll be sure to hear this one at our live shows as it’s already become a staple in our set. See you out there,” says frontman Trevor Phipps.

Saxon Posts New Video, “They Played Rock And Roll” Online

British heavy metal legends Saxon has posted a new video online for the song, “They Played Rock And Roll.” You can check it out below. The song and video is a tribute to Motorhead and the tour they embarked on together in 1979/80, something particularly poignant given the recent passing of former Motorhead guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke. It is also the second single from their forthcoming new album, “Thunderbolt,” which will be released on February 2nd through Militia Guard.

“The song tells the story of Saxon’s very first tour in 1979 with Motörhead. I want people to get a flavour of what it was like in the UK in 79/80 for Saxon and Motörhead at the start of the 80s musical revolution” says frontman Biff Byford.

Tengger Cavalry Posts New Song “Cursed”

Global Music Award-winning nomadic folk metal group Tengger Cavalry has already released two new singles from upcoming album, “Die On My Ride,” which is due out June 2nd via M-Theory Audio.

Those previous tracks, entitled “Die On My Ride” and “Ashley,” portray two very different sides of the band, both musically and conceptually.

Today, Tengger Cavalry is introducing a third track into the mix. “Cursed” is a more introspective look at breaking down personal barriers risen by oneself and others. Check it out below.

“‘Cursed’ is about breaking barriers,” says frontman Nature G. “Society has always put up different mental and physical barriers barring individuals just trying to achieve their dreams. You are too short, you are minority, you are a female not a man, you are from somewhere else, you don’t look good enough.

“All these disadvantages that we think we are born with, are like a curse to us. We are cursed for believing these barriers, aren’t we? No, we are not. We need to break this barrier of belief. We need to strike it and claim who we are supposed to be. Cursed, or rise above the curse.”

Black Fast Covers Thin Lizzy’s “Thunder And Lightning”

St. Louis metal act Black Fast just released a cover of “Thunder and Lightning,” the classic Thin Lizzy track from 1983 album of the same name. Check it out below.

“Thin Lizzy is my favorite band,” says frontman and guitarist Aaron Akin. “I have this double live album they recorded on their last tour called ‘Life’ that starts with this song. You can hear the crowd, imagine them walking out onstage and going right into this track. Sadly ‘Thunder and Lightning’ was the last Thin Lizzy record, Phil died a few short years after its release.”

He goes on tosay, “It oozes cool, as he did. And the John Sykes guitar solo! I had to call on one of my best buds Reece Scruggs (Havok / Century Media Records) to step up and let one rip for us and he absolutely nailed it. I think this fucker landed pretty cool. Its dangerous. it’s streetlights and leather. It’s a switchblade.”

The Wild! Posts New Song “Livin’ Free”

Canadian rock export The Wild! just debuted another all new track today titled “Livin’ Free” – listen in below.

“From livin’ life without a care in the world to growin’ up and grindin’ out that 9 to 5, nobody loves that transition in life but we all go through it at some point,” says frontman Dylan Villain.

He goes on to say, “But lemme tell you something, man. Age is a fuckin’ state of mind and ‘Livin’ Free’ is about just that. This is a song for the young punks comin’ up that are still figuring it all out & the rowdy old guns still havin’ the time of their fuckin’ lives. Your outlook on life is everything and this song says it all. You gotta love it! Livin’ how you want it. Always stay livin’ hard and livin’ free.”

The Wild! will release “Wild At Heart” on February 17th, 2017 via Entertainment One (eOne). Villain adds, “This record is a big one for me. All of us, man. I really had to go through some shit to get things right on this one. I can honestly sit here today & tell you that we made the best record we possibly could. I’m proud as hell of it and I can’t wait for all of you to hear it. It’s everything I wanted it to be.”

Avatar Posts “Night Never Ending” Music Video

Avatar just unleashed another visually stunning music video with longtime director Johan Carlén at the helm. Check out the new clip for “Night Never Ending” below.

“It’s is a special song, being probably the most upbeat and, dare I say, happy piece we’ve ever released,” says frontman Johannes Eckerström. “But under the surface of the fragile message of hope and fighting spirit it is little more than a prelude to a tragedy and that is what we set out to capture when we decided to make a video for it.

“It is very close to my heart for being the one video where there is no ‘rocking out’ going on and we get to capture a side of Avatar that is just as integral as the good, headbanging times we love sharing with our supporters all around the world. There are few things in this world as beautiful and fascinating as contrasts and this is what all of ‘Feathers & Flesh’ is all about. Hope and tragedy.”
