Monster Energy Aftershock Festival Teams Up With Slipknot’s Scream Park

Monster Energy’s Aftershock Festival has joined forces with Slipknot’s Scream Park for the Aftershock Pre-Party on Friday, October 23 from 7pm to midnight in Sacramento, CA.

Hell or Highwater will headline the Pre-Party (with more bands to be announced) and has also been added to the Saturday, October 24 lineup of the Aftershock Festival at Gibson Ranch just outside Sacramento, CA.

Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan have partnered with Sacramento based Scream Park California to produce an event that explores a whole new, intensely visceral world of horror, as only Slipknot can provide. Slipknot’s Scream Park features three haunted houses and thunderous live horror entertainment and will also have an onsite presence at Aftershock on October 24 and 25.

A limited number of guests can gain admission to the Pre-Party by showing proof of purchase of an Aftershock ticket. That night, guests will be able to go through the haunted houses at Slipknot’s Scream Park for a discounted price of $15. More details will be available soon about music performances at the Pre-Party and how to obtain free Pre-Party admission, as space will be limited.

The fourth annual Monster Energy Aftershock will feature a music lineup of hard rock, alternative and metal artists, as well as an expanded festival site with onsite camping Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25. The 2015 lineup includes Slipknot, Faith No More, Deftones, Shinedown, Jane’s Addiction, Marilyn Manson, Coheed & Cambria, Stone Temple Pilots, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Bring Me The Horizon, All Time Low, Sleeping With Sirens, Eagles of Death Metal, Black Veil Brides, and many more performing on four stages.

Goatsnake Announces U.S. Tour Dates With Black Breath

Southern Lord Recordings is proud to announce the finalized itinerary for the label’s upcoming package tour, featuring Goatsnake, Black Breath, Battalion of Saints, and Obliterations.

The tour will toast the West Coast next month, breaking out of Los Angeles on September 16th, after which it will plunder Long Beach, Ventura, San Diego, Mesa, San Francisco, Sacramento, Santa Cruz and Seattle for Black Breath’s “Slaves Beyond Death” record release show, with the final show hitting Portland on September 27th. Wrvth Announces U.S. Tour Dates With Lord Of War

Ethereal tech death unit Wrvth will kick off a western U.S. tour next month supporting headlining labelmates, Lord Of War.

Set to embark on September 11 in Sacramento, California, The Ongoing Dissension Tour will raze seventeen stages in five states, coming to a close on September 27th, 2015 in Lancaster, California.

Church Announces U.S. Tour Dates

Sacramento, California’s fresh-faced psychedelic doom crew Church just crushed their way onto the scene with “Unanswered Hymns,” a debut album CVLT Nation named the “Doom Release Of The Month” just after the group opened for Yob at a packed hometown show.

Salythia Reveals Details On Debut Album “Death D’Core”

After releasing a music video for the “Affliction” track, California outfit Salythia has announced details for debut album “Death D’Core.”

Taking influences from such bands as Trivium, Metallica, Mastodon, & Suicide Silence the band melds the styles of classic heavy metal and death core to create an explosive and energetic sound.

“Death D’core” was engineered at Sound Heart Collective in Sacramento, CA by Connor Rodenbaugh and will be released through Dead Inside Records on February 17th, 2015. The track listing is:

Incantation Announces U.S. Tour Dates With Funerus

Incantation just announced a string of West Coast tour dates slated for next month. The band’s first shows of 2015, the tour follows from Incantation’s “Dirges of Elysium,” released by Listenable Records during the summer of 2014. With Funerus slated as direct support, the confirmed dates and venues are available below.

“We’ve had a hell of a time since Dirges of Elysium came out,” reports band founder John McEntee. “We’re really looking forward to starting 2015 with more infamy and fuckin death metal!”
