Old Corpse Road Signs With Cacophonous

Old Corpse Road is now a member of the Cacophonous label family, and the new album “Of Campfires and Evening Mists” is due to hit stores on May 27th. The band had this to say about the signing:

“Old Corpse Road are proud to announce our induction into the resurrected Cacophonous coven. The dedication and support from a legendary label who brought the world bands such as Bal-Sagoth, Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir is incredible.

“For Cacophonous to have faith in our vision and music is a humbling experience. It is a great honour for the Old Corpse Road moniker to sit alongside many of the bands that inspired our journey. We can’t think of a better home for our opus ‘Of Campfires and Evening Mists’ and we hope our partnership with Cacophonous proves to only strengthen the burgeoning UK black metal scene.

“‘Of Campfires and Evening Mists’ has been a long time project, and is a work of blood, sweat and determination. The band has worked tirelessly to make sure that every aspect of the album, from the artwork to the music, represents our darkened take on British folklore in its purest form. The music flows from fierce black metal through to powerful melodic passages and onto serene yet haunting moments. We have taken time to fully explore the moods and themes of each story, leading to long but enthralling songs.

A Transylvanian Funeral Releasing Second Full-Length Album

Twelve rituals of primitive black magick in the form of “Gorgos Goetia” – the new album from A Transylvanian Funeral – will be offered to the international masses on March 20th for the apt sum of $6.66 from Forbidden Records and other online retailers worldwide.

“Gorgos Goetia” is a staggering 72 minutes of raw and unbridled black metal magick, with no drum machines, no keyboards and minimal production values to retain the creative and improvisational style that Sleepwalker is known for on his multi-instrumentalist albums. The tracklisting and cover art of “Gorgos Goetia” is featured below.

Cold Blood and Darkness
Burning Astral Hunger
Light Cast Out
The Supreme Rite of Transmutation
Fear

Comments singer Jost Kleinert: “We are back with a new video for the song ‘Hades Resurrected.’ Witness the unholy ceremony as we celebrate Death Metal in praise of Hades. This is one of the killer tracks from our new album ‘Mask Of Malice:’ we caught the sinister vibe of the song in a very dark and blaspheme video. Get ready for the new Lay Down Rotten with Kensington Seifert on guitars! Get ready for ‘Hades Resurrected!'”

Resurrected Splits With Vocalist Carsten And Drummer Hazim

Resurrected has checked in with the following announcement about parting ways with the band’s vocalist and drummer:

“Time to tell some news next to the EP recordings from the RR-headquarter: After his long lasting disease our vocalist Carsten is still not healthy enough to do any live shows in the future so he decided to retreat in order not to constrain the band’s live ambitions.

“We all respect and understand his decision as we know how much he suffered in the past months/years and how long he struggled with the decision to leave the band as a founding member and the distinctive voice of Resurrected. But you can for sure hear Carsten on the upcoming EP on the vocals; we’re all very sad to lose him as a band member and, personally for me, one of world’s best death metal voices.

“The position on the mic will be taken by our long-time friend Christoph Mieves from Grind Inc. who already did some live shows on the last Portugal Tour with us! Chris is well known for his great death metal vocals and outstanding stage performance!

“Another issue is that Hazim will leave the band because of his move to Bremen which does not allow us continuous rehearsing with all band members what we’re used to and what Hazim either thinks to be necessary for further songwriting and live rehearsing. Hazim will play his ‘Grindbye’ show on this year’s 10th anniversary NRW Deathfest! But as you may imagine we have already found a new beast on the battery: Dennis Thiele will take over the Resurrected wrecking duties in the future! We’re all happy to have Dennis on board as a good friend and dedicated death metal maniac!

“So the new RESURRECTED looks like the following:

Christoph Mieves – vokills
Dennis Thiele – drums
Ben Bays – bass
Thomas Granzow – guitars

“Hope to see ya all live again in the next months, keep it sick!”
