Allstar Death Metal band Siege Of Power releases limited 7″ prior to debut album!

– June 21st, 2018 –

Video teaser available!

No bullshit compromises of any kind whatsoever. That’s what SIEGE OF POWER is all about! SIEGE OF POWER started in 2013 as a project without any expectations. Shortly after releasing a split album it was left for dead, buried and almost forgotten until the rotten corpse was exhumed in 2017. This resulted in a no-nonsense extreme metal album mixed with several doomdozers. Influences vary from Carnivore and SOD to Discharge and Amebix, done in their own style.

Chris Reifert – Vocals (Autopsy, Violation Wound, Abscess, Painted Doll)
Paul Baayens – Guitars (Asphyx, ex-Hail of Bullets, Thanatos)
Theo van Eekelen – Bass (ex-Hail of Bullets, ex-Houwitser, ex-Grand Supreme Blood Court)
Bob Bagchus – Drums (ex-Asphyx, Soulburn, ex-Grand Supreme Blood Court)

SIEGE OF POWER will release a limited 7″, entitled ‘The Cold Room‘, on August 10th via Metal Blade Records. Two of the three songs are non-albums songs. The 7″ is strictly limited to 500 copies. 300 copies in black and 200 colored copies. The 200 colored copies will be sold exclusively via the official merch booth at the Party.San Open Air (!

Eryn Non Dae. Signs With Debemur Morti Productions

Debemur Morti Productions is extremely proud to announce the signing of adventurous French band Eryn Non Dae. The band comments:

“We always felt that our previous labels signed us without really knowing what the band was all about. This resulted in some discomfort on both sides. Something new and exciting is coming with our agreement with Debemur Morti Productions.

“Regarding what they have done since 2003, we feel that we share a common vision about what a record can be, a work of passion, time and dedication. This is what Eryn Non Dae. had been about since day one. Creating the new album has been a strange journey and we are excited and very impatient to embrace a new era with Debemur Morti Productions!”

Replacire Posts Full “Do Not Deviate” Album Stream

Boston’s explosive, multi-faceted technical metal band Replacire is now streaming forthcoming album “Do Not Deviate” in full ahead of the official release via Season Of Mist worldwide on March 17th, 2017.

Regarding the album stream, Replacire founder and guitarist Eric Alper comments: “Every note on this record was scrutinized for intent and purpose. This resulted in shorter, heavier songs, but they still retain the density that heavy music fans can appreciate over multiple listens.

“We would devote entire weeks to writing/arranging. Some songs came together after a couple hours, some took days on end before they were complete. Several songs never made it to the record despite several re-writes. We ended up with an intense record; a weird, cerebral, and crushing metal album that hopefully people will latch onto.”

Replacire recently announced an album release tour. The live trek, beginning on April 1st in Boston, runs through the North East and Mid Atlantic:

Apr. 1 – Boston MA – Obriens
Apr. 2 – Greenfield MA – The Arts Block
Apr. 3 – Providence RI – Dusk
Apr. 4 – New Haven CT – Pacific Standard Tavern
Apr. 5 – Philadelphia PA – Kung Fu Necktie
Apr. 6 – Baltimore, Maryland @ Metro Gallery
Apr. 7 – Greensboro, NC – NY Pizza
Apr. 8 – Greenville SC – The Radio Room
Apr. 9 – Richmond VA – 25 Watt
Apr. 10 – Brooklyn NY – St. Vitus Bar

Borknagar’s Vintersorg Injured In Accident

Borknagar has been working on a new album, which is now being delayed due to band member Vintersorg (Andreas Hedlund) being injured in an accident. Borknagar comments:

“This have been a rough week. Seven days ago Mr. V was seriously injured in an falling accident. This resulted in multiple fractures to the skull, brain hemorrhage and momentary dysfunctional hearing on one ear. We have intentionally kept this off the radar, till he felt fit enough to update the public himself. So his post on Facebook today should be regarded as an heartwarming and uplifting statement of his recovery.

“We would like to wish our colleague and dear friend all the best, the best possible treatment and a speedy recovery to full health. Also all the best to his closest family, his wife and kids in this difficult situation. In the current situation Mr. V’s process of recovery and regaining health is the most important thing.

“The release of our new album might be delayed accordingly, as there is absolutely no option to leave our bro behind or in any way compromise on his recovery.”

NettleCarrier Inks Deal For New Album Through Indie Recordings

Indie Recordings has issued the following statement about inking a deal with Oslo-based act NettleCarrier:

“We are proud to announce the signing of NettleCarrier! NettleCarrier is freezing cold, satanic black metal at its best. It’s true, it’s Norwegian. Starring T. Ciekals (Djevel, Ljå), Mannevond (Koldbrann, Urgehal) and Dirge Rep (Orcustus, Gehenna, Gorgoroth, Enslaved), this band has a great future ahead. The 7” vinyl ‘To Strangle The Hero Of Heaven,’ released in 2007, was an eye opener for the underground scene and NettleCarrier is now finally ready for a full-length album.

“NettleCarrier was formed in 2004 when T. Ciekals, at the time member of the band “Ljå”, moved to Oslo and teamed up with Mannevond from the infamous ‘Koldbrann.’ They had a burning desire to create a black metal band that did not sound like any other band, but with an older and more sinister sound. In late 2006 Vold joined in on drums for a short while and as a threepiece the pace increased. This resulted in the 7” vinyl ‘To Strangle The Hero Of Heaven.’

“When Mannevond started Urgehal and T. Ciekals formed ‘Djevel,’ NettleCarrier was put on ice for almost three years. After the Djevel album was released, T. Ciekals was finally able to focus on NettleCarrier again. The very talented Dirge Rep joined the band on drums in 2010 and the decision to record an album was taken. Thus 2012 sees the release of a full-length album from this talented trio.”
