Rings Of Saturn Unveils New Album “Ultu Ulla”

Bay Area technical deathcore group Rings Of Saturn arrives back on the scene to release fourth full-length studio album “Ultu Ulla” on July 28th via Nuclear Blast Records. The alien deathcore quartet present an entirely new and esoteric proposition to heavy metal.

Band astermind Lucas Mann discusses the album title: “The album name, ‘Ultu Ulla,’ means ‘Time Immemorial’ in Sumerian Cuneiform. ‘Ultu Ulla’ is about aliens transcending space and time and uncovering an ancient incomprehensible entity that threatens the fabric of universal existence.”

First single “Inadequate” can be seen via the player below, and you can order your copy of the album digitally on iTunes and receive a download for “Inadequate” instantly.

The hallucination-inducing cover artwork was completed once again by Mark Cooper of Mind Rape Art, consisting of a triple painting that continues the story from the 2-piece artwork of “Lugal Ki En.”

Mark Cooper comments, “The general idea was to create a scene where gods from beyond time and space are invading 3D-reality and taking over. They are chaotic beings that can take any form at will and manifest anything with their imaginations.”

4Arm Announces New Album “Survivalist”

4Arm is soon to release fourth album “Survivalist,” which contains 8 tracks clocking in at 51 minutes and headed by new front man Markus Johansson. Mixing duties were once again handled by U.K. engineer Matt Hyde. The album artwork was designed by Colin Marks at Rain Song Design.

Singer and guitarist Markus Johansson had this to say about the album: “With ‘Survivalist,’ our goal was to take the material into new territory, while maintaining the sound that was previously established by the band. We wanted the album to have that familiar feel, but still stand on its own as a unique entity and not simply become a clone of the band’s previous effort. Matt Hyde’s production greatly accented the meticulous nature of the new tracks, bringing them to life in a way that highlights the detail we spent countless hours crafting.”

2. Fragment Of A Dream
3. Poisoned Mind
4. Poverty Of Flesh
5. Lights Out
6. In Living Decay

Beehover Streaming “My Mixtapes Suck Big Time”

As Germany’s eclectic/eccentric dynamic duo Beehover prepares to release fourth LP, “The Devil And His Footmen” — once again via Exile On Mainstream — today the The Obelisk fires up another new track from the record.

Check out “My Mixtapes Suck Big Time” at this location. The following press release was also issued about the track:

“The belligerent bass strumming and mangled runs on ‘My Mixtapes Suck Big Time’ weave their way through a barrage of untamed percussion in the band’s unique trademark style, topped with a quirky vocal delivery that builds into a maniacal outburst before the track winds back down to its initial state.”

The Obelisk also reviews the track as “a song that exemplifies how well Beehover are able to craft a linear feel throughout weirdo choruses and a tension that seems to build even as it’s paying off. Unless you spend the rest of your day listening to Beehover, chances are you won’t hear anything else quite like it.”
