Sulphur Aeon Opening The “Gateway To The Antisphere”

The winds of Spring bring the stench of sulphur, as German death metal tyrants Sulphur Aeon prepare for the devastating unfurling of leviathan sophomore LP, “Gateway To The Antisphere,” through a cooperative release between Imperium Productions and Ván Records on April 3rd.

The album was produced by Simon Werner who was already responsible for the sound of the previous recordings of the band, and the result is a catastrophic and instantly memorable work of extreme metal art. Fifty-two minutes of debilitating yet enthralling, black-tinged, Lovecraftian death suck the listener in like an inescapable vortex, as visually depicted in the cover artwork that was created by Ola Larsson.

The sixth of the eleven harrowing passages on “Gateway To The Antisphere” has been released through an artwork video. Witness the destruction of “Diluvial Ascension – Gateway To The Antisphere” below. The album’s track listing is:

1. …To Drown This World
2. Devotion To The Cosmic Chaos
3. Titans
4. Calls From Below
5. Abysshex
6. Diluvial Ascension – Gateway To The Antisphere
7. He Is The Gate
8. Seventy Steps
9. Onwards… Towards Kadath
10. Into The Courts Of Azathoth
11. Conclusion

The Body/Braveyoung Album "Nothing Passes" To See Vinyl Release

Following an initial CD release in September 2011, amidst several regional tours together, “Nothing Passes” — the collaborative release between apocalyptic noise/doom duo The Body and orchestral rock harbingers Braveyoung — will now get the deluxe vinyl treatment.

Recorded in a collaborative session at Providence’s Machines With Magnets (Battles, Daughters, Lightning Bolt, Chinese Stars), “Nothing Passes” is a layered but cohesive voyage through cavernous, noise-laden tumult and chaos, ethereal horror-soundtrack creepouts and even serene acoustic passages, exploring new styles for both acts. The album features vocal contributions from members of The Assembly Of Light Choir who have collaborated live with The Body and Braveyoung, as well as a cover of Exuma’s song, “The Vision.”

Set for release via At A Loss Recordings, the label responsible for releasing the initial CD version, the LP version of “Nothing Passes” will be available to the public on April 24th. The black vinyl pressing is housed in a high-quality chipboard cover with an uncoated heavyweight insert. A photo of the package can be found here. Pre-orders are now available here.

Additionally, The Assembly Of Light Choir — who appear on “Nothing Passes,” in addition to playing a major role in The Body’s 2010-released “All The Waters Of The Earth Turn To Blood” LP — is preparing to release a new album this May. The ensemble has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the project here.

The Body Announces Collaboration Album "Nothing Passes" With Braveyoung

At A Loss Recordings has confirmed a collaborative full-length release between Rhode Island’s apocalyptic noise/doom duo The Body and North Carolina’s orchestral/drone rock harbingers Braveyoung.

With both bands having already performed live together multiple times, including a mini-tour earlier this year where the members of both The Body and Braveyoung performed collaborative material live in several cities of the tour, the time came for the bands to unite their sonic crafts together on tape. After a collaborative recording session at Providence’s Machines With Magnets earlier this year, the end result has surfaced as “Nothing Passes,” which also also features vocal contributions from members of The Assembly Of Light Choir.

At A Loss will release “Nothing Passes” worldwide on September 27th in CD and digital formats, with the vinyl pressing due early in 2012. The track listing and artwork are available below.

1. Song One
2. Song Two
3. Nothing Passes
4. The Vision
